In this devotional video, Sharnita Gates leads a heartfelt prayer focused on navigating the "wilderness seasons" of life—periods of uncertainty, loss, and spiritual testing. She opens by acknowledging that trouble is inevitable and invites listeners to enter prayer. Throughout the prayer she repeatedly references Scripture (Proverbs 3:5‑6, John 14:16‑17, Exodus 33:14, Isaiah 55:8‑9, John 16:13, Psalms 139:7‑10, Psalms 23:4, Hebrews 13:5) to underscore themes of trust, the Holy Spirit’s advocacy, God’s abiding presence, and divine wisdom that surpasses human understanding. The prayer petitions God for surrender of personal understanding, the Holy Spirit’s guidance and comfort, patience, faith, and the strength to walk victoriously through the wilderness. It emphasizes surrender, contentment, and reliance on God’s promise never to forsake His people. The video concludes with a double affirmation of faith and surrender, ending in "Amen."

Blessings everyone and welcome back to our prayer time. I am Sharnita Gates and today we're going to be talking about our wilderness season. As we kick off this new year, we know that God said that we are not exempt from trouble, so we're going to go straight into prayer for our wilderness seasons. Let's go before God. Dear Heavenly Father, as we enter the wilderness seasons of our lives, we seek your understanding and guidance. We know that in these times, we may feel lost and uncertain, but we trust in Your unwavering love and faithfulness. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 3:5-6 that we trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding, and in all our ways we submit to Him, and He will make our paths straight. Father, help us to surrender our own understanding and lean on You completely, Knowing that You will lead us in the right direction. In the wilderness, we ask for the presence of Your Holy Spirit to comfort and guide us. In John 14:16-17, Jesus promised, and I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate to help you and be with you forever, the Spirit of Truth. Holy Spirit, be our Advocate and guide us through the challenges and uncertainties of the wilderness. Fill us with your wisdom and discernment. Father, as we long for your presence in the wilderness, in Exodus 33:14, you assured Moses, my presence will go with you, and I will give you rest. We pray for your abiding presence, knowing that with you by our side, we can find peace and strength in the midst of the wilderness. So, dear Heavenly Father, in the mighty name of Jesus, We raise our voices in prayer, knowing that You hear every word and understand the depths of our souls. We trust that our prayers are not in vain, for You are a God who answers. Grant us the patience to endure, the faith to believe, and the grace to walk through the wilderness victoriously. Heavenly Father, in this wilderness season of our lives, we come before You seeking Your understanding and guidance. We find comfort in Your Word, specifically in Isaiah 55:8-9, which reminds us that Your thoughts and ways are higher than ours. Help us to trust in Your wisdom and to rely on Your understanding, even when we feel lost and uncertain. As we navigate through this wilderness, we ask for the presence and guidance of Your Holy Spirit. In John 16:13, Jesus promised that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, would guide us into all truths. So we invite the Holy Spirit to lead us, to provide us with discernment, and to comfort us during this season of uncertainty. Father, we long for your abiding presence in the wilderness. In Psalms 139:7-10, the psalmist declares, That there is nowhere we can go where your Spirit is not with us. We are grateful for your promise to never leave us nor forsake us, and that we can be reminded in Hebrews 13:5. And we ask for a deep awareness of your presence as we journey through this wilderness. We also find solace in the words of Psalms 23:4, which reminds us that even though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we will fear no evil, For you are with us. We hold on to this promise and ask for your protection and strength as we face the challenges and uncertainties for this season. So, dear Heavenly Father, we commit to prayerfully meditate on your word and to seek your understanding, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and the abiding presence of God in our wilderness seasons. In scripture, in Hebrews 13:5, it says, keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have. Because God has said, never will I leave you, never will I forsake you. We offer this prayer in complete surrender to your will, knowing that you are the God who understands, the Holy Spirit who guides, and the presence that brings peace. May our hearts be filled with understanding, our steps be guided by the Holy Spirit, and our souls be comforted by your abiding presence. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen. And we offer this prayer in absolute surrender and unwavering faith. Amen. Amen.
