Blessings everyone and welcome to day 36 of this Lent devotional. We are here in this multiply season and we are going deep today into multiplying your discipleship. In day 36, I don't know about you guys, but I remember roughly hearing more about and learning more about discipleship probably over a little over a year ago. And when it comes to multiplying your discipleship, we're going to be reading from Acts 2, verses 47. And this is coming from the New International Version. Praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. Acts 2 begins with the story of Pentecost, which includes Peter the Apostle's speech in Jerusalem. God-fearing Jews from every nation under heaven. And that's in verse 5. And that concludes with a beautiful picture of what happens when believers fellowship. When believers fellowship, There is unity, favor with people, and a growing number of people are being saved. So the people are saved, so the church grows. I love that this scripture says, and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved. I feel like this devotional has had several lessons, one of which is God is a multiplier. No matter where his people are and what they are facing, he will multiply. He adds favor, joy, peace, abundance, you name it, he adds it. Some of the multiplying comes after he has caused difficulties to teach us a lesson. The children of Israel in exile, but he restores and multiplies them in and out of exile. In this scripture, the apostles, newly filled with the Holy Ghost, preaching, teaching, and praising God, saw an increase in the number of people who were being baptized. Notice they didn't do miracles. God did the miracles of giving them the Holy Ghost. All they did was do what we are called to do, the Great Commission in Matthew 28:18-20. What does this mean for me and you? To me, it means that our obedience to God will result in kingdom multiplication. Pastor says that we are the first Bible some people will ever read. So if that's the case, which book of the Bible are you showing to others? You and the kingdom will reap what we sow. So let's sow love and unity, and let's praise God while doing it. Let's go into prayer. Father, may I show the world the love of Jesus. In Jesus' name, amen. He also says sometimes those short prayers are the best prayers. All right, they, they're strong. And Father, may I show the world the love Of Jesus. And when we're talking about discipleship and the Great Commission, is to go out and spread the word, spread the love, because we all need to know more about obedience and praising God and enjoying the favor, you know, that God has given to all the people. And to be able to share that, that's what discipleship is. So as we multiplying your discipleship, if you have not yet Taking any type of discipleship class, I would encourage you to contact maybe your local church to find out what discipleship classes they may offer so that you can go out and multiply in your discipleship. I thank you guys for joining me on this day 36. Multiply, go out and multiply your discipleship. Blessings.
