Multiply Your Impact

Proverbs 28:28 says when the wicked rise to power, people hide, but the righteous thrive. The speaker argues Christians should stay confident in God's presence instead of retreating, using Joshua 1:5 and Matthew 5:14 to show that thriving, not just surviving, lets you multiply your impact by helping others.

Blessings everyone and welcome to day 32 of this Multiply Lent devotional. Today we're going to be multiplying your impact and the word is going to be coming from Proverbs 28:28. When the wicked rise to power, people go into hiding, but when the wicked perish, the righteous thrive. The first time I read this scripture, I thought it would be a great stretch to discuss anything positive. I immediately cringed when I saw the words wicked rise to power. However, on second read, I was reminded by the Holy Spirit that God's children don't hide and we won't perish. David in Psalms 31 says, in thee, O Lord, do I put my trust. Let me never be ashamed. Deliver me in thy righteousness. In Matthew 5:14, We are reminded that ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. We cannot hide. Listen, family, we have never to worry about who is in power, whether it's governmental leader or your boss. God is with you. He said it to Joshua in 1:5, and he is saying it to you. I will never leave you. Or forsake you. We serve a God who is always with us, Emmanuel. For me, the lesson for this text is that no matter who is in power, we who are righteous will thrive because our God is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Proverbs 21:1 says, in the Lord's hand, the king's hand, uh, king's heart is a stream of water. That he channels towards all who please him. In America, we don't have a king. We have a president, vice president, governor, mayor, etc. With each— with all these titles, their hearts are in the hands of the Lord. Don't forget that. So are you sinking, surviving, or thriving? I hope you are thriving. Thriving means that you are doing well. And are in a position to help others do well too. In other words, you are able to multiply your impact. That was powerful. Father, help us to focus on you and only you, no matter what the world looks like, so that we can thrive. In Jesus' name I pray, amen. Multiply your impact. We serve a God who is Always with us. Emmanuel. God is always with us. And in the Lord's hand, the king's heart is a stream of water that he channels towards all who please him. So know that you are the light of the world and that you can multiply your impact. And be reminded by the Holy Spirit that we are God's children and we don't hide And we won't perish. So in thee, O Lord, do I put my trust. Let me never be ashamed. Deliver me in thy righteousness. Multiply your impact. So on day 32 of this Multiply Lent devotional, want to multiply your impact. Remember, don't hide. Be blessed and go out and multiply your impact.
