My Transformational Worship Experience

Pastor Michael Todd and Pastor Charles Metcalf lead the second half of an Easter service at Transformation Church, mixing comedy, a monologue on pride, and a proclamation of Jesus' resurrection. They invite people to accept Christ by raising their hands and texting "saved" to 828-282, citing Romans 10:9.
Chapters
Not, not people who are right all the time. Not people who got it all figured out. Not perfect people. Not people whose life is all put together. But the righteous, the people who have realized that if it had not been for the blood of Jesus, the people that realize I got some stuff that's not perfect, the people that put their trust in Jesus, the righteous run in and they are safe. Some of you, if you were honest, that's all you've been looking for your whole life. That 4-letter word, safe.
You just—
you hung out with the people you hung out with in high school because you wanted to feel safe. You wanted to fit in. You got that job and you put up with those people and you lowered your standard a little bit just because you felt like you weren't safe. You did things that you said you would never do just because you wanted to be safe. Can I tell you, Jesus is the only safe place for humanity, and you ain't got to act different. You ain't got to pretend. You can come all as you are and say, Jesus, I'm a little jacked up. Jesus, I still have some habits that aren't like you, but I'm giving you everything. God, right now, thank you, Jesus. I thank you for the soul that has not felt safe would find rest today. The soul that has been wandering for safety, Jesus comes to you today and said, you have found refuge. Not in an idea, not in a concept, not in a religion, but you have found safety in the name of Jesus. God, I thank you for your name. God, I thank you for your name. It's in your name that chains are broken. It's in your name that we find the peace that we need. It is in your name that you are a healer. It is in your name that holds victory, Lord Jesus. And I thank you that when you died on that cross, Lord Jesus, that you adopted us into your family, that there was a name change that happened, Lord God, that our name is not our failure. Our name is not our past. Our name is not shame. But we have claimed the name of Jesus. And I thank you from this moment forward that would mark our lives. Lord God, we love you. We thank you for your name. We're grateful for your name. And right now we give your name the glory, the honor, and the worship that it is due.
Could you give our God—
come on—
the name of Jesus, the name that's above every name, the name that demons tremble at, the name that cancer dries up to, the name that can cause anxiety to take off running and bring peace to your mind? Is there anybody in here that the name of Jesus has been a strong tower for you?
Can you give our God a shout of praise? Oh, come on! Can you give him a praise like he's alive, like the tomb is empty, like you've got good news on Monday, like it don't matter what happened on Friday, that it don't matter that it was quiet on Saturday, but it's Sunday and the name of Jesus still has power? It's the name of Jesus that'll raise a dead body.
It's the name of Jesus.
See, I grew up—
okay, listen, it's the last service and I'm up here. I grew up in Bowling Green, Kentucky, okay? I went to Abundant Life Christian Church. My daddy was the pastor. There were 10 people in the church and I was related to 7 of them. And one lady, she was a little weird. It was Crazy Sarah. That's what I called her. I don't know if that was her name, but And I remember being in those services, especially on Easter.
We would—
I remember, I remember this memory so clear. We were in my, uh, my dad's office. And by office, I mean the garage, because it was like a house that had kind of been converted. And I remember we were making the— my dad was making the bulletins for Easter, and he said, we're about to do something called— we gonna print 100 bulletins. And I remember thinking, Dad, what?
Who you—
who are these bulletins for? Because we ain't— I'm gonna be drawing on a couple of them while you preaching. But who are these? I remember it was something like that that slowly in my life started marking these moments where I said, you know what? It ain't always got to make sense what you're doing. I think some of us find a lot of frustration trying to make sense of your life, trying to make sense of, God, why would you ask me to do that? Why would Jesus come and only pick these 12 random dudes who ain't even really schooled? He only lived 3 years, and then he died. Why would he die?
It ain't got to make sense.
But we're standing here today because some people took a step of faith and decided it don't matter if it makes sense. It don't matter if God asked me to leave my country.
It don't matter if God asked me to move to Tulsa. I'm going to obey what he said.
God, we thank you for your name. We thank you that it's holy, that it's sovereign, and in that name you hold all power. It's in the beautiful name of Jesus we pray. And everybody said, amen. Amen.
Can you give 3 people a high five and tell them he is risen?
He is risen.
Well, happy Easter, everybody! Happy Easter! We are so glad that you're here.
It's the rowdy 6 o'clock. It's the last one. This is the people who didn't know if you was gonna come to church on Easter. No, I'm just kidding. Y'all was probably serving. You know, we got guests, we got friends from other churches who are here.
We love you.
We're so glad you're here.
Some of y'all drove. Did anybody drive?
And like, you just got into town and you show up.
Come on. Hi.
Hello.
We're so glad that you're here. Hey, listen, my name is Charles. I get to serve as one of our pastors here. And on behalf of our lead pastors, Pastors Michael and Natalie Todd, I want to welcome you to Transformation Church. We are so honored that you take time out of your Easter weekend to be with us. I know some of y'all, you left that family brunch that you didn't even want to be at really to come to service. So it's okay. You had some weird egg salad that your grandmama been making for a long time.
I don't—
I never really messed with egg salad. I'm not, I'm not saying that I was just at an event where I could have been eating egg salad. I got family here that can vouch for it. There was some weird food there. I'm not gonna say it, Tachi, but, um, we're glad you're here. We're so honored that you're here, and we believe you're here on purpose. It's not accident, it's not happenstance, it's not random. We've actually been praying for you. Our team has been praying and preparing and believing that this will be a moment where you would find hope in Jesus. Not that you would be impressed by our songs, not that you would think, wow, those like— no, no, no. All of that is a tool so you would see the true reason we're here, and that is the name of Jesus. And, uh, if it's your first time, we would love to connect with you. We would love to give you some resources to partner with you. Maybe you're a parent and you got crazy kids. I got 4 crazy kids. We praying for them right now, but You need help maybe raising your kids. How are you going to raise them in the house of God? We've got an amazing kids ministry here, TC Kids, that does an amazing job presenting Jesus to our children.
Maybe you've been looking for community.
You've been— you maybe just moved here, or maybe you've— you're in school and you've been trying to find the right people. We've got Belong groups. They're small groups that meet all throughout the week. All I'm trying to say is we would love to come alongside you in this journey of following Jesus. and help you in any way that we can. Listen, every single weekend we have an amazing opportunity where we give, and this weekend is no different. And if you, uh, this is your home church, you already know we're a generous church. We're bought in. We understand that giving is a response. It's not an obligation. If you want to give, you can go ahead and do that. But I'm really— I'm not here to try to convince you to give. I'm trying to tell everybody, when you give, it changes lives. It makes a difference around the world. It allows us as a church to do things like meet the need of a single mother in the moment. We don't have to go through, oh gosh, we got to raise some money. It allows us to do things like a couple of weeks ago, we got to give 4 different churches $250,000 each.
No strings attached, no nothing.
Because I got you to go off there. It's like, why would they do that? Because it's not about transformation, church. Jesus is coming back for one church. We believe that wholeheartedly. When you give, you're a part of that. This isn't something we're doing as just the organization, but this is hundreds of people, thousands of people, people online who are watching around the world that have decided to partner with a vision that is way bigger than one person and is all about one person at the same time, and it's the name of Jesus. And I want to say thank you. It allows us to do all those things, and this past week was no different. We got the opportunity to do an Easter outreach. We had, uh, we was dropping Easter eggs from the helicopter. It was all the Easter Bunny was out there. We're still a little off. It's about Jesus, the Easter Bunny. We're raising our kids. I had to have that conversation with my son today. He's like, who's the Easter Bunny? I was like, ah, we'll talk about it later. But it allows us to be generous, and we could not do it without you. I want you to take a moment and check out what our generosity is doing and how it's impacting our city of Tulsa right here. Check this out. Transformation Church, Will here. I am out this massive Easter outreach that we are putting on. We are at the Tulsa Dream Center, and we got to collab with them and put on this amazing event. But I wanna be clear, this is our vision of Representing, where we are showing, giving, and promoting God differently. And this is us doing that, and we can't do it without your generosity. The impact here today has been amazing. I have seen people in tears just experiencing a joy. We got to bring an experience to North Tulsa and the surrounding community, and that is because of your generosity. And I just wanna say thank you.
Thank you.
Thank you for allowing us to live this vision out of representing because of your generosity.
We love you.
That's something we get to be a part of every single week, seeing lives impacted and changed. And Will, he's on our team, he said it in the video, but our vision is to represent God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ. And really, my favorite part of that vision is it's the lost and the found. The lost is God's passion and the found are God's people. And no matter where you may find yourself in that space, maybe you feel like, you know what, I don't even know what I believe about God. I don't even know how I wandered in here. One, I know it wasn't an accident, but maybe you're— this is your 28th Easter and this is just another thing. You're just grateful for the relationship you have with Jesus. We're believing that we all belong together here. And I want to take a moment. I'm gonna ask everybody to stand up. We're about to go back into a time of worship, but before we do, I want to take a moment to pray. And it's Easter weekend. I know everybody got their Easter best on. You got your family photos. Maybe your kids were looking at the camera, maybe they weren't. You're still a little frustrated by it. I definitely am. But, but I would be remiss if I didn't acknowledge that On such a joyous weekend and a celebratory weekend, there are honestly a lot of real-life situations that don't feel like they're worth celebrating. There's real pain in this room. There's real heartbreak in this room. Maybe everything's good right now, but you're worried about the future. Maybe you've got little kids and you're wondering, man, what am I gonna do? Maybe you got enough money for this month, but you're worried about what's gonna happen in the summertime and Maybe there's layoffs coming up. I don't know your individual situation, but what I do know is there's power in prayer. Our church believes that prayer is not a last resort, but it's a first response. And so I want to take a moment and pray in this moment. If you would join me like this, just put your hands in a posture to receive. This is if maybe your first time in church, your first time in a long time, you're like, why are we doing this? What's about to happen? This is just saying, God, I surrender. This is just— I'm not holding nothing back. I'm not hiding anything. Maybe all week you got to hide stuff, and here you ain't got to hide. You can just surrender like this, and we're just going to pray in this moment. Lord Jesus, thank you. Thank you that you see us. I'm reminded of the scripture, Lord God. There was a woman who named her child, and the name was the God who sees me. I thank you. You're the God who sees every situation in this room. You're the God that has seen every hurt. every pain, every victory, and every loss. And you are a present help in time of need. I pray for the soul that's tired tonight, that your love, your, your mercy would be a shot of adrenaline in their soul, Lord God. I pray for the weary soul. I pray for the hopeless soul. I pray for the person who's been looking for peace all week, maybe all year. I thank you in this service that your Spirit would bring a calming to their soul. Jesus, we came here tonight to encounter you. I thank you, Lord God, that tonight we would get a sense that no matter what we've been through, no matter how life feels right now, that the fact that we're standing here is proof, is evidence that you are still good. We love you so much. It's in the beautiful name of Jesus we pray. And everybody said, amen. In the room and online, let's continue to worship our God together.
Wherever you're at, whether you're in this room or at home, make it an altar. And as you're doing that, extend your hands to the God who never fails. He's omnipresent.
He's right where you are.
We thank you, God. Thank you for making us evidence today.
Let my soul sing holy, holy. Let my heart cry worthy, worthy.
Let my mind know you are faithful and you are Lord. Yes, you are. Let my soul sing holy, holy.
Let my heart cry worthy, worthy. Let my mind know you are faithful and you are the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. 'Cause you love me, and you chose me, and called me yours.
I'm so grateful that he called me a child of God.
After all, you brought me, and I choose you, 'cause you're my Lord. Come on, let's sing it out.
Let my soul—
Let my soul sing. Hallelujah! Let my heart, let my mind, you are faithful, and you are Lord.
God, you're so consistent, and we love you today. Oh my God, come on!
Let my soul, let my soul speak holy, holy. Let my whole Let my mind. You are faithful. And you are. Yes, you are, Lord.
So God, we can say this right now.
Say you love. You love me. And you chose. You chose me. And you call me yours. Call me yours. Y'all, I've done some things I'm not proud of today, but after all you've Don't run from me. God, I choose you. 'Cause you're mine, Lord. You're mine. How many are grateful that he chose you in spite of your decisions, in spite of your mess? You can say that you love me. You love me. And you chose me. And you chose me. And you called me home. And you called me home. So thankful, so thankful. Never run. You cry. Never run from me. Never run from me. I choose you. You're my Lord. You're my Lord. Yes, I am confident that we are headed up, that you are faithful. You are the way. I am confident that we are headed up, that you are faithful. You are faithful. You are God. I am confident. We are reverent. We are reverent. You are faithful. You are faithful. You are God. I'm so glad, I'm so confident in this one thing. I am confident. I'll be thrown in the prison ground. You are ever faithful. You are faithful. You are God. You've broken every chain. You call me by my name, and I'll never be the same. You are Lord. You've broken every chain. You call me by my name. I'll never be the same. You are Lord. You've broken every chain. You are faithful. You are faithful. You are good. I am confident. You are ever faithful. You are faithful. You are good. We are heaven. We are heaven. We set the mind. And you got my heart from the very beginning. We are heaven. And I'm gonna provide this word. I see Every single out there, my God, keep it in. We are evidence. If you believe that tonight, I need you to sing this out real big. Say, we are. We are evidence. We are evidence. We are evidence. You are evidence. Yes, we are evidence. Yes, we are evidence. Yes, we are evidence. Come on, sing it outside. We are evidence. We are evidence. We are evidence that my God is good. We are evidence that my God is great. We are evidence and he is present. We are evidence when there shall be a cry. We are evidence when the longing of the soul. We are evidence to the sounding of the song. We are evidence that you are so consistent. We are evidence that you are so faithful to the love of your heart. We are evidence that we all love the Lord. Find somebody, tell them you are evidence. You are evidence. Find somebody, say you are evidence. You are evidence. You are evidence. Point to your neighbor and say you are. You are evidence. Say we are evidence. We are evidence. Say we are evidence. We are I shouldn't be standing up here today. You're looking at a miracle. You're looking at a miracle. Because why would you die? I am confident. I am confident. We are evidence. You are faithful. You are God. I am confident. We are evidence. You are faithful. Just one more time.
I am confident.
I am confident. Sing it out, Ruby. Sing it out. We are evidence. You are faithful. You are. Y'all sing it like you believe it. Come on. Sing it out. We have confidence. We are evidence. You are faithful. You are. We are evidence. We are evidence. We are evidence. We're clapping out the sun. We are evidence. See, we're evidence. Oh God, send it out. We are, we are evidence. We are, we are evidence. You are God.
If you know that the fact that you're breathing right now is evidence of God's God's grace and his mercy. Why don't you give our risen Savior the biggest shout of praise? They didn't come to praise God, but I dare somebody at your home, in the stands, give God a shout of praise.
Hallelujah! Yes, sir!
If he said it, it's settled.
If God said it, it's settled.
Your marriage, it's settled.
Your kids, it's settled.
Your career, it's settled.
Your mind, it's settled.
Your heart, it's settled.
Your family, it's settled.
It be settled.
Today, boss, when he comes, I got him. I got him. One more time, say it confident. I am confident. We are endless. You are faithful. You are good. I am confident. We are endless. You are faithful. You are good. Can we worship?
Every lie I told, every website I went to, all this stuff in my heart.
To see all of my sins upon that cross.
Jesus, you love me so much.
How much it costs to see my sin upon that cross.
What's our response? Hands lifted.
Here I am to worship.
Here I am to bow down.
Here I am to say that you're my God. You're altogether lovely, altogether worthy, altogether wonderful to me. Here I am, here I am to worship. Here I am tonight.
I'm gonna give you everything, God.
Here I am to say that you're my God. You're so good. You're altogether lovely. You're so faithful. All together worthy, all together wonderful to thee.
Jesus, you be lifted higher, higher, be lifted higher. That's what the resurrection is about. It's Jesus.
Jesus, you be lifted higher over my agenda.
Over my preference. Let's turn this place into a worship session.
Jesus, you be lifted higher.
Something is changing in this atmosphere because he's being lifted up. He's drawing all men to himself.
Say, Jesus, you be lifted higher. Higher, be lifted higher.
This for the old school saints. And what can wash away my sins?
You say nothing but the blood of Jesus.
Some of y'all too young for this, but we say and What can make me whole again?
Say, nothing but the blood of Jesus. We sing, oh, say, oh, precious is the flow that makes me white as snow. No other fount What is it? Nothing but the love of Jesus, and I love you forever. I love you forever.
Sing it out!
I love you forever.
This is our response to Jesus.
I love you forever. I love you forever. I love you forever.
It seems like somebody wants to say thank you.
Hey! Forever, I love you. Hey! Forever, I love you. Forever.
I don't just love you; I'm gonna obey you, so I'll serve you.
I'll serve you. Hey! Forever. With my whole heart. I'll serve you. With my mind, my body, my soul. I'll serve you forever.
Just one more time. I love you forever.
I love you forever. I love you forever.
For your sacrifice, Jesus.
Thank you forever. I love you forever. I love you forever. I love you forever. And we sing glory to God. Lift it up! Glory Glory to God. Lift it up! Glory to God. From our heart! Forever.
And we sing.
Glory to God.
Hey!
Glory to God.
Hey!
Glory to God forever.
Hey!
Glory to God. We lift Your Name up. Glory to God. We lift Your Name up. Glory to God. Forever. Your word says glory to God. Glory to God. Heaven is opening. Glory to God. Let's go up. Forever. We say glory to God. Glory to God. We lift your name up. Glory to God. For how long? Forever. We lift your name up. We lift Your Name up. Glory to God. We lift Your Name up. Glory to God. We lift Your Name up.
Glory to God.
I think we're gonna take it one more time. More than life. Hey! Glory to God. Lift it up, say! Glory to God.
Let Heaven fill our house.
Glory to God. Glory to God. We lift Your Name up. Glory to God. Glory to God, glory to God forever.
If you love him, why don't you just take 15 seconds and in your own way, why don't you let your worship be expressed right now? Your voice, your DNA, at your house, in your seat, lift your hands, raise your voice. Hey, just turn the lights out for a second. Silhouette it. They don't need to look at us right now in your home. Just worship him. Come on, lift your voice. Yeah, fill this place. Turn those strings up. Let this place feel like heaven. Somebody's about to be healed in this atmosphere. Somebody's about to be delivered in this atmosphere before production, before another song gets sung. Somebody's healing somebody's mind. He's healing somebody's heart right now. You're gonna be able to forgive. You've been holding on to a grudge, but God said in this atmosphere, I'm breaking off everything that can't go into your future. Your purpose is worth more than this pain you've been carrying around. God said, I'm gonna heal you in my presence. Minister Caleb, just receive. Receive, receive, receive!
Receive, receive, receive.
Let every other name fade away. Come on.
Take that again.
Somebody's getting healed right now. Peace is coming into your home, coming into your heart. Just one more time. I feel breakthrough happening right now. Let all the other names fade.
Just you, Jesus. Can we all lift that up?
Let all the other names fade away. Just sing it out. Say, something's changing. Something's changing in us.
Fill me up, God. Fill me up, God. Fill me up, God. Fill me up.
Let that be your prayer tonight.
Fill me up, God. Fill me up, God. Fill me up, God. Fill me up.
Come on, just by faith, even you've been feeling empty, just Say, fill me up with your love, your joy, your peace, your patience, your kindness, your gentleness, your self-control. Father, tonight we've come We come for no other reason except to lift the name of Jesus and in return receive whatever you have for us tonight. Father, we came with an agenda, but all we want is your approval. Whatever you want us to have, that's what we want. We pray, Father God, less of Less of me and more of you. Come on, somebody say, less of me and more of you. Come on, one more time, because that's working on somebody's pride right now. Less of me and more of you. Father, fill us up tonight however you want to do it. If it's in worship or if it's in the production, Father, if it's with a hug, Father God, if it's in the parking lot, all we want is what you want us to have. So fill us up, God, until we overflow.
I want to run.
Worship is in this house. Y'all brought your worship type tonight.
Fill me up.
Hey, this is a hungry atmosphere. Whatever you need tonight, the healer's in the room. Oh, just one more time, say, fill me up till I Not just enough, but more than enough.
Father, we've sung our prayer tonight, so do whatever whatever you want to do.
Father, on this Resurrection Sunday, we just say thank you. Thank you for taking the lashes. Thank you for being wounded and bruised for our transgressions and iniquities. Thank you, Father, for staying on that cross when you could have called a legion of angels to save you. You saw me in my sin and my brothers and sisters in their sin, and you said it was worth you dying, defeating death, fell in the grave and rising again. So today we celebrate your victory, because your victory has now given us victory. So today we praise you for all that you've done. And Father, in faith, we praise you for all you're gonna do tonight. We're just a bunch of grateful people saying thank you. Can I get the grateful people in the room to just— uh-oh— to lift your voice? And on the last service of this Easter Sunday, can we give our great God— Hallelujah! A great praise. Is that the best you got? Hallelujah!
I said hallelujah!
In your home, lift up the God of the universe. We worship you. We honor you.
We bless you in Jesus' name. Amen.
Let's give God one more shout of praise.
Hallelujah!
I didn't think we was gonna get more rally than Sunday morning, but y'all rested today. Somebody took a nap because Sunday night y'all came to worship. Don't you just feel the atmosphere? The presence of God is just like— I don't know what you need, but it's in the room. If you're logged on right now all over the world, it's here. God is omnipresent. He's everywhere you need him to be. And I just feel that everybody who's longing for something, God's gonna answer. He's gonna move you one step closer to it tonight. Amen. Well, welcome to Transformation Church. Find 3 people and tell them Happy Easter. Come on, give them a high five. Tell them Happy Easter. Let them know you love them. Man, I'm so excited that You are here tonight. We are excited that you are in the house and watching online. There was so much response online today that we've decided to make tonight available online. So everybody in the room, can we say what's up to the thousands of people watching in Transformation Nation? Oh, y'all can do better than that. They couldn't get here. We love you. You are a part of what God is doing. And then there were some crazy people that drove and flew and came from all over the country, and I'm just so excited. Some of them had to catch flights back home, but the fact that y'all would come to Tulsa, Oklahoma to come to church— y'all crazy. And I love it because this church is built on a lot of people who have crazy faith and a lot of people who believe that this is a place that God gathers people to heal them, set them free, inspire them, impart into them, and then send them back into their area of influence to represent God to lost people and found people for one reason. What is it? Transformation in Christ. So we're so grateful, y'all. We got a lot of friends in the building tonight. If you're from another church or you're a pastor in the city or a minister from another church, could you just slip your hand up? Just— you go to a different church. And I see Pastor Lawrence's people. I see my people from Vic Transformation Church. How do we welcome our first-time or our second-time or our church family from all over the city? We love you. So grateful for you being in the house. Um, my founding pastor is here, Bishop Gary McIntosh. And when, when I was coming down, he said, Pastor Michael, I invited 70 people to Ransom. Now I just want to let you know, if the founding pastor of this church can sit here after 8 years of being in leadership, handing the baton off, and 16 years of being in full-time ministry and still be excited about the house of God, don't none of us got an excuse.
Excuse me.
So if you invited anybody to this service, this production, I just want to say thank you, because the testimonies that are coming back from the 2 times that we have presented this service are literally phenomenal. We're gonna have to— I mean, deliver. There were people here after every service, over an hour afterwards, getting healed, delivered, and set free. And I know that scares some people right there. They're like, uh-uh, I'm I'm gonna slip out real early. All I'm saying is what you're going to watch on Netflix does not have the power to save you. And numbing— trying to numb, it hasn't been working so far. I'm just asking everybody, don't leave this place tonight without getting everything that God has for you tonight. Amen.
Amen.
So I'm gonna get out the way because worship just went a little rogue, but it was worth it. And, um, and we got so much for you, but we got this little announcement, and I could say a whole bunch about it, but I'm gonna just let the video let you know what we got coming up this October. Check this out. We are ambassadors of the kingdom. Dominion is in every believer's DNA.
I done popped out the popcorn.
Yes. Oh yes, that is right. On October 11th through the 13th, all roads lead to Transformation Church. Now some of y'all are like, I'm a visitor, I don't know why they were screaming, they didn't even tell me what was going to happen at this little alien conference that they about to have, this little Men in Black conference. God told us to start gathering people who were called to represent him in different areas of influence— in the entertainment industry, in the education industry, in government, in their homes with their children. Whoever felt that they weren't supposed to live a normal life but they were supposed to represent God to other people. We were going to gather and be with a bunch of other weird people that are called to do the same thing and just worship God for 2 and a half days. And y'all, we did it once, didn't know if anybody was going to show up, and they packed it out. Then the pandemic happened and we didn't do it. And then God said last year, do it again. We really didn't know if anybody was going to show up. We put that thing on the website, and in 7 minutes the conference sold out. People came from 21, I think, different countries. It was just nuts. And God told us, now it's time to do version 3. But he said that this year the whole theme is about dominion. Everybody shout at me, dominion! Dominion! I'm telling you that this is gonna be the year that you take up your space in this earth, and I don't got time to preach, but I'm just telling you, you want to be a part of this, and I want you to save the dates. The reason I'm telling you, because y'all be going off on us by just springing dates upon you real quick. So I'm giving you like 5 and a half months to take off, get your cousin Renee to watch your kids. October 11th through the 13th, we're gonna be right here, and I want to see everybody there. Tickets coming soon. All right, so 2015, took over, um, this church, and Bishop handed me the baton, and I was like, man, this is crazy because I don't know how to be a pastor. He said, don't worry about it, God's gonna help you. And he went on vacation. And so what ended up happening is about, uh, um, February 1st, became the lead pastor, and, um, Easter was coming up, and I got scared because I ain't never preached on Easter. And I was like, what do you do on Easter? And I was like, I'm not about to preach on Easter. I was like, I know, let's create a play. But if we gonna do a play, it cannot be one of them boring, he got up, and it's just like, yay. Okay, y'all gonna leave me up here by myself? How many people done seen one of them plays? Like, y'all could have emailed me that. You could have just emailed me that play. And, uh, And what I really had a burden for is— I don't know about you, but I've been raised in church, but I had that like lukewarm life with God for a while. And then when I came into my relationship with God, all my friends was still kind of out there. And so I was saved, but the people who I really loved were far from God. And that's why I believe this church's burden is not just to be a church for found people, because what that is is a country club of prideful Christians. And a lot of us don't smell like people who are far from God. We only associate with people who believe everything we believe and vote how we vote and do what we do.
But I've—
the last I read that the gospel was for those who are wayward. So when we decided to make a production or a play, we didn't have nothing, but we said we were going to do everything short of sin. That means we was going to get up to the line and we was going to reach over and grab every person who was lost, hurting, suicidal, broken, confused, and we were going to rob hell and snatch them into a relationship with God.
Yes.
And did it offend some religious people? Of course. But what we decided was we would rather go after the one. My Bible says he would leave the 99 to go after one. This play, this production, is us leaving the 99 to go after one person who may be in here and don't— you don't even believe in God. Or matter of fact, you're mad at God. You're pissed at God. You, you, your prayers don't even align with— it's just like, I don't even care no more, do whatever you gonna do. I feel you. And today I want you to know that our prayer is something would happen for you that would be a break in the tension between you and God. And I'm gonna just be completely honest, I want you to have a radical encounter with the love of Jesus tonight. I know a lot of places you go, they're like, we're not gonna— we don't— don't even worry about it, we're not gonna do it. And at the end, they'll be like, Jesus. I'm gonna tell you right up at the front, I hope you get wrecked tonight. I hope that anger you feeling right now and you trying to stay mad, I just hope you melt, because that's what happened to me. When Jesus is love, it just messed me up. I'm not a perfect man, but I'm a progressing man. And the crazy thing about Transformation Church, there's no people— perfect people allowed here, so you're in great company. But tonight we're going to show you this production that has been reimagined by our amazing team, y'all. They have taken this thing to another level, and, um, I hope you see what our great God Has done to have a relationship with you. I want to show you an OG picture to let somebody know who's a dreamer and a visionary that all you have is all you need. This is back in 2015. We made those paper mache walls. Most of the clothes that everybody's wearing—that's my clothes. We really didn't have no finances, no nothing. We just wanted to present the gospel and to see what God is going to do in this. Place tonight. It's just another reminder that all you have is all you need, and God can do a lot with a little bit. Tonight, I pray that you see the love of God in a brand new way. Without further ado, everybody that is in the room and Transformation Nation online, I present to you Ransom. For everybody that's confused, that just says read the Bible for yourself. We lost some of y'all right there.
There once was a great king who ruled a great kingdom called Hervania. All the people loved him, for he was a just king and shared his wealth with whoever was in need. The king even issued a decree that all the treasure of the kingdom would be made available to the people, except for one special possession: the Jewel of Wisdom. The dragon, who once was a master of the minstrels, had favor with the king. He trusted her greatly.
Marvelous, marvelous! Fabulous job, excellent job.
Oh, but jealousy and envy started to accrue in her heart, and her desires for the throne began to overtake her.
He finished my story.
We're singing freedom. I'll testify. We'll be singing forever. Amen. We'll be singing forever and ever and ever and ever again. I'm so sick. This day after day, singing the same tired song on repeat. Ain't no songs for the choir director. I can't get a solo. All I get is a pat on the back and arthritis in my wrist.
Where's my praise?
I'm out of my mind. I'm thinking of changing some things. Amen. Can I get some love, get some praise? Only worship you, not belong, man. You be way too controlling. Got me feeling like I can't breathe. My voice is getting tired singing holy, holy, holy, holy. I'm a queen, not a slave. You're my equal, not my master. I'll escape. I'm the one they gonna run to. I can do this without you. I'll be the ruler, be the top gun. They'll all worship me. For you, it's done. Are you insecure? Why you gotta be so insecure when he did all he could do, but you be wanting more? And why you can't see all that you have? And he can take a lot of stuff, but he won't take your heart. Take that. You should be humble, it's important. Ever heard of that? Is it foreign to you? Is the right thing really foreign to you?
Be on your— should not.
I was trying to find you, believe your ruler. Is this a joke?
Cuz you got some humor, maybe something's wrong with this picture.
You make it hard to want to stay with you. I'm an angel, not a slave. You my equal, now my master. Escape. I'm the one they going to run to. I can take a 30-year-old crow. King, what you reaching?
Better make him give you reason to be insecure.
Why you gotta be so insecure? I'm not insecure.
He did all he could do, but you want more.
Yeah, I want more and more and more and more and more. And why you can't see all that you have? He can take a lot of stuff, but he won't take I want the crown that you want so much more. Oh, I won't take that no more. We'll see about that.
With much persuasion, the dragon was able to convince one-third of the court to join in her plans to overtake the kingdom. Join me. Oh, but when the king found out about such plans, they were immediately exiled to Heltra.
Go!
As time went on, the kingdom remained a place of peace and love. One A rare and beautiful subject had been chosen to be the princess of the people. She walked and talked with the great king daily, for she represented all the people of his kingdom whom he dearly loved. She loved him like a father, but what the princess didn't know—
Shut up and let me explain! I ran everything before she came along. I took care of the courtyard, the inside and outside Outside of the palace, and of course the king's treasures. Not to mention she can barely hold a note. I mean, her runs don't even compare to mine. But they won't soon forget who I am.
Hmm. As I was saying— uh, excuse me. As I was saying, it was just another day in Helvania.
What? I got this feeling inside my bones. It goes electric, baby, when I turn it on. All through our city, all through our home. We flying up no ceiling when we're in our zone. He put that sunshine in my pocket, put that good soul in my feet. I feel hot blood in my body when it drops.
I can't take my eyes above it, moving so phenomenally.
Boom, unlock the way. Come on! All the things that we can do, we dance, dance, dance. Ain't nobody leaving soon, so keep dancing. Can't stop the feeling, just dance, dance, dance. Can't stop the feeling, just dance, dance, dance. Come on!
See, this is our lovely kingdom, a place of harmony and where you can shake that body-ody-ody. We have just one rule: Never take the jewel of wisdom. What happens if I take it? You'll die.
But let's go!
That night, all of Hervania gathered at the king's castle for the annual Garden ball in celebration of the great kingdom of Heavenia.
Beautiful, isn't it? Oh, I'm sorry, princess. I didn't mean to startle you.
Oh no, it's okay.
I was just admiring the castle's beauty. Speaking of beauty, what is that?
This is the Jewel of Wisdom. It's one of the kingdom's most prized possessions.
The Jewel of Wisdom? I would think someone as beautiful as you has all the wisdom she needs. Have you ever thought about just taking it?
No, I could never. It's forbidden.
Surely for all of us, but not for you. You're the princess of the people. I'm sure if you had it, you could help the king do even more good. He loves you. He won't be angry. Why don't you just take it?
The princess hesitated for a moment, but then thought about all the possibilities and what the dragon had said, so she decided to take the jewel.
May I have this dance?
I hear your heartbeat to the beat of the drum. Oh, what a shame that you came with someone. I hear your Heartbeat to the beat of the drums. Oh, what a shame that you came here with someone. So while you're here in my arms, let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die. We're gonna die. We're gonna die. Let's make the most. We'll keep dancing till we die. I hear your heartbeat to the beat of the drums. I wanna stay, but you came here with someone. So why are you here in my arms? Let's make the most of the night like we're gonna die. We're gonna die. We're gonna die.
Soon news of the beloved princess's misdemeanor had spread throughout the kingdom. When word got back to the king of what the princess had done, he was devastated, for everyone in the kingdom knew that the The penalty for such a crime was death. But because of his great love for the princess and all the people of his kingdom, the great king showed mercy and instead issued another decree. Even though it pained him to punish his people, he was a just king, so a consequence for this transgression Write this: build a wall surrounding the castle so that the people no longer have access to the wealth in my treasury.
There will only be one entrance, and it will be guarded at all times. Yes, my lord. at all times. People will only be able to enter my castle if they bring their best sacrifice. And if anyone trespasses, and I mean anyone, they will be put to death.
What?
Now the people of the kingdom would have to work hard to earn everything they needed, and the princess could no longer walk and talk with the king. The trust between them had been broken and left a void in the king's heart that all the people felt powerless to fill. Their lives that were once filled with happiness, peace, and royal privilege were now reduced to a life of poverty and hardship. The princess was so sad. Reduced to that of peasants.
A daughter of the kingdom. I thought this was freedom. I believed in the lie. Now this is the price I pay. Sweet words deceived me. Gave up my trust completely. Lost all that I had, and it only took one mistake. Where do I go? And what do I do? When there's a wall between me and you, Lord? I think I should go. But where do I hide? When everything I love I'm sorry.
I'm sorry.
Where do I go? And what do I do? When there's a wall between me and you? I think I should go. But where do I hide? When everything I love Is there inside? Cause I built this wall. I built this wall. Trying to escape, but I keep sinking. I am in the bed that I have made. The waves of fear and shame have come to take me under. Lord, I pray, would you just let me stay? Where else would I go? What else would I do? When there's a wall between me and you, I'm gonna go and I'm gonna hide. I'm gonna go and I'm gonna hide. I wish I could just be there by your side, but I built this wall. Yeah, I built this wall. I lost it all. Oh, oh, oh. 'Cause I think there's a way. 'Cause this makes me feel like I've been locked out of heaven. Fall too low, oh, oh. Fall too low, oh, oh. Yeah, this makes me feel like I've been locked out of heaven. Fall too low, fall too low.
The king longed for a day when this would change, so he devised a plan. If the king's only son, the great knight, married the princess of the people, then the royalty could once again be united with the people of the kingdom.
How much better can he show his love for you? How much better? Can he show his love for you? Then say, "I do, I do, I do." Oh, I do, I do, I do. Access.
I gave them complete and total access to me, the ability to roam in and out of the city. I even decreed to meet their every need. All of my wealth was theirs.
All that Except one.
One piece which was solely for me. But disobedience overwhelmed them in ways I can't even explain. You see, all of this was theirs, no strings attached, because I trusted them to keep themselves intact. In fact, And I believe that because of the relationship between my people and I, that honor would thrive and remain consistent. But somehow they missed it. It's like a thief in the night that came to rob you blind, got away with your stuff, and figured all to be fine, only to get back to its place of rest and be bombarded by He was wronged by one time, and now the consequences of his actions weigh heavy on his mind. This must be how she felt. And oh, how my heart cries like innocent blood being spilt. The favor that was extended to my child because of the relationship that we built. You see, with her, we would walk and talk in the cool of the day. Not everyone pressed their way into the innermost parts of my heart, but that's where she stayed. So she knew what to and what not to do Because we spoke, you see. And she also knew who were and who were not my folks. So the minute my enemy poked her nose into my business, she should have known to leave her alone. But no, her emotions took control, and her love for me was outweighed by deception and pride. And now she has put herself in a position to die, being seduced by sweet nothing of lies rather than to remain alive, obeying the truth of mine. And now she has made loving her complicated. Come on!
Hope completely faded, and she she represents you all.
Now all that is tainted, and as much as I hate it, like business and pleasure, we must remain a company. Completely separated. Now all around me will be guarded and gated, and if you step across this line without your best gift, you must get faded. Look, this is not what I wanted, but this is how you've made it.
But oh, oh, how I love you.
Oh, how I love you. Which is why I'm going to work something out, because I know that a relationship with me is something you cannot do without. So restoration is a need that won't come from me, but through the sacrifice and work of my seed, my My only son will handle this. Yes, that's it. My only son. And anyone who gets into covenant with him will get back into right standing with me. Then life as intended For my people will be redeemed.
It's the truth, yeah, I promise you, he does, he does, he does, he does, he does love you. He will show his love for you. He will show his love for you. Oh yes, he will. I know he will. He will show his love for you. He will show his love for you.
Meanwhile, the princess, in her state of anger and resentment, scoured the land surrounding Havenia to find To find the mysterious visitor who had deceived her in the garden and ruined her life. Her search led her to a region just outside the dark land of Heldra, where she would soon find herself face to face with the dragon.
My question for everybody is, have you found yourself in this production yet? See, we are all represented by the princess of the people, who she is us. And at the very beginning, the way this thing was all set up, we were in a perfect relationship with the king, our God, our Father. See, if you go back to Genesis in Eden, there was no problem between God and man. We had an uninterrupted relationship with God. And can I tell you, this is the highest form of any type of success you can ever have in this life, is an uninterrupted relationship with God. I'm not talking about where you come to church or you do a ritual or you do something. It's like every day, all the time, Wherever I'm at, whatever I'm thinking, it is no break in my connection with God. But when Adam and Eve made the mistake of going after wisdom instead of the one who gives wisdom, they created what became the burden for all humanity. Is we have had to deal with the thing that puts a wall between us and God. And your situation, the bricks of your wall may look different, but it all has one name, and it's 3 letters. It's sin. And the crazy thing about sin is a lot of people like to group sins into categories like little sins and big sins, but when it comes to our relationship With God, whatever sin it is, it creates separation because He's holy. He's separate from that, and because He's a good God, He's a just God, and His word doesn't change. He said, "I want a relationship with you, but I can't fool with that." And a lot of us, if we're honest, the whole sin. thing is kind of in our nature. It's not like something anybody had to teach us. Matter of fact, let me not talk about you right now. Let me talk about me. The things that I struggled with that were sin, it was almost like they were natural to me. It was natural to lie and not tell the truth.
Come on.
It was natural to go after things were perverted. And I know everybody in this room may be sitting here with your Sunday's best on and your Easter makeup, and your weave is real nice right now, but the truth of the matter is, once you take everything off, you know who you really are.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And you know what you really think. And you know who else knows who you really are and what you really think? The only person who created you. It's not even in our actions; it's in our heart posture. Because I know you try not to do the right things, but the Bible tells us if you even think it, it's already done. And for me, I've thought a lot of things that put distance between. me and God. I've done a lot of things that put distance between me and God, and me without God is not good. And I don't know how many people that are watching or in this room, if you would calculate all the things you've done without God, I want you to know that it never equaled what you thought it would equal. All the money don't equal peace. All the relationships don't equal stability. stability and trust. All of the things do not equal security. The only thing that is secure in this life is having an unshakable relationship with the one who holds it all together. The sun, the moon, the stars, the ocean are still held together right now because of a word he spoke. And he still calls my name.
Yes, sir.
And with all my mess-ups and all your mess-ups, he still says, son, daughter, I love you and I want a relationship with you. So God, the great King, made a way. After Adam and Eve and me, we all messed up with our sin, he said, somebody's got to pay this bill. I don't know if you've ever been to a restaurant where a whole bunch of people were eating and the The check came. And when the check comes and you didn't have the money, you start acting a little different. You start looking to the person who has enough to cover the debt that has been made. Yeah, yeah, yeah. When I look at the sin that I have in my life, I don't have enough good deeds to cover the debt that my sin has has made. There's not enough hallelujahs and good prayers and rituals that I can do, because I know what church has taught you and religion has taught you. Be a good person. Good people don't have relationship with God. It's only righteous people. And can I tell you a secret? All have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. Nobody has it within themselves. So God said, because I know them, and I know what's in them when they listen to the deceiver. I'm gonna make a way. It's not gonna be based on their performance. It's gonna be based on their position. And as long as they're positioned in right standing with my Son, they have right standing with me. I don't know if you've ever been into a building that took you having the right access But in all the buildings at Transformation Church, you got to have access, and you put your little access card up there and it lets you in. When you come into a relationship with Jesus, you get his access card.
Uh-oh.
You don't even have to have the credentials. Somebody trusted me with what they have earned, and I get to walk in grace because of what Jesus did. I get to walk into favor— oh, I feel the presence of God— because of what Jesus did. I get to walk into mercy because of what Jesus did. And today I know there's some people on the brink of being done with this life because you don't know how to do it without him. Today our Heavenly Father is saying come back home? Will you please tear down the wall? Not by doing everything right, just accept the access that Jesus gives you. Would you trust by faith in what the Knight, the, the one who is going to redeem you, has done? And God said, I gotta make a way, so I'm gonna send Jesus. And tonight I know there's a lot of people in this room that are far from God. A lot of people watching right now, you were so ashamed of what you did last week that the enemy deceived you to thinking you wouldn't even be welcomed in this room. But the devil is a liar. Some of us have been medicating our way through our Mondays, and we've been trying to numb ourselves Social media, Netflix series, alcohol, people. And God is saying, would you please stop fooling with the counterfeit and come to real love? Like the prodigal son. Jesus said, I want to display my love, and I'll tell you a story. One of the sons wanted his inheritance early and demanded it, went out and lived his life wild, lost everything. and was in a pig's pen looking at the pigs' meal like, dang, can I have some? And in that moment he thought, I could go back to my father and be a low-level servant. So he goes back to his father's house, and the Bible says while he was a long ways off, his father was on the porch looking for him. Is that my son? Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Y'all, y'all do the thing that I told you to do when my son comes back. And he takes off, not waiting for the son to come back and apologize. He takes off all of his, his royal authority, and he goes after that one boy who did the wrong thing. And he takes off the ring, takes off the robe, takes off the sandals, and he restores him to a place of dignity. Why? Not because he was good, because he was his. And I came to tell somebody who has been trying to be good before they get back in relationship with God, if you give your heart, he's the only one that'll help you change your habits. Don't, don't say I gotta clean it up first. You can't. You would have already done it. Tonight, our Heavenly Father, the Great King, is saying, come back home. I have 4 children, but I only have one son. And Michael Alexander Todd Jr., there is nothing in this world that if I saw him drowning in a pool, I would not do everything that I could to save his life. And I'm an okay earthly father. If that's how I would treat my son on this earth, how much more does God love every single one of you?
Amen.
I heard somebody say this earlier. Well, if God is so good, why would he send us to hell? And I told these— this person, I said, because of the sin nature that we were born into this life with, we were already in the current, already going that direction. And because of the grace of God being a good Father, he threw out a safety life raft called Jesus. And he made a way for us not to go where our sin was leading us anyway. He made a way for us to be saved. As this production goes on, I don't want you to just see actors and dancers and the dragon, the deceit. I don't want you to see like— I want you to see yourself and what our great King God, what he did to make a way for every single person without a pastor, without a prophet, without a whole bunch of rituals and candles and all this. You don't need all of that to have a relationship with God. You need an open heart and your faith in Jesus. He made a way for you to be close to him. Mark 10:45 says, for even the Son of Man did not come to this earth to be served, but But to serve and to give his life as a— watch this word— ransom for many. The question is, what would you do for love? God thought so much of you that he gave his only Son to be in love with you.
Amen.
An eerie fear gripped the heart of the princess as she approached the ominous gates of the city of Heldra. Nevertheless, she dared not turn back.
Hello? Is anyone there? Can anyone help me? This is all my fault. Well, well, well, it looks like Seems like it is your fault. And now all the people of your kingdom are suffering because of you!
It appeared that the dragon was right. Back at Havenia, riots had ensued outside the castle walls. People were indulging in all kinds of terrible behavior, and it seemed that they all had turned greedy and selfish. Some were angry Some angry with the king for building the wall, and others just frustrated at the insufficient fruit of their hard labor.
Don't worry, you can stay here with me, but only under one condition. You work for me for a while. And I suppose I'll help you get back to your precious will. Pass! Oh, oh, oh, season! Toodaloo! This is too good! I've got the princess of the people in my dungeon! Oh, great king! You don't seem so great after all. Everybody listen up! This diva's got some news for the people of Hovenia. To a hut fly, to a, to a hut fly. Stop the track, let me stay back. I told you give me a minute and I'll be right back. Got the prince in my dungeon, they said that I couldn't get her. I done got so sick and filthy with envy, I can't free her. Tell me something, where your boss at? We in hell girl, and out here we like to talk bad. I'm your leader, I like to teach you what You said I'm the deceiver. Y'all hype me up in this next part. Let's go. Since we fled out the kingdom and parted this very day, how long was the question until we made the king pay? I'm the dragon, but believe me, you'll see how I'll take the reign. You ain't hiding the seed, don't need them. You first, first, first to catch the crown. I need that crown. Shut up! Let me play.
Hey, hardest rapper out of Helder. Jealousy on the scene, aka Big Green, because I be getting that shmoney, you heard? Check me out, I've been getting to the money, everybody bad.
I think I'm getting too much money, everybody bad.
Same old track in front of the mic, same old track in The dragon sent a ransom note to the castle in Havenia, demanding that the great king step down from his throne or he. This precious princess of the people would be killed. The king had already been separated from the princess for far too long. He couldn't bear the thought of never seeing her again. So he decided to send his only son, the great knight of Havenia, to save her.
Ooh. My friend, come on.
My friend.
Son, here's what I want you to do. She'll be there waiting for you with tear-stained eyes. Now she'll be there dressed for the fight, sword out and mouth full of lies. But you'll be fine, and I already know that it's uncomfortable for a father to You asked this of his son, but could you kill the dragon and save the girl? He's got a child now in the world, and you can have her for your bride, but this will cost your life. The lock will open with the key, drinks of blood and suffering, the greatest story ever heard. I'm not afraid. Kill the dragon, save the girl. Oh, son, there is a debt that she made, a price only your life could pay. She needs your love. The dragon think he got the last laugh. The dragon think he has the power. But you have the power to save her. Yes, you have the power to free her. Yes, you have the power to deliver her. Heal and heal and heal. Heal the dragon sleeping. Looking for me?
Sharnita!
Oh my God!
All hope seemed lost. The princess should have been rejoicing at her newfound freedom, but instead she grieved over The loss of her savior, as she made her way back to Hervania to relay the dreadful news that the great king's only son had died at the hands of the evil dragon.
What love is this that you gave your life for me? And made a way for me to know you. And I confess, you're always enough for me. You're all I need. I look to you, I see the Scars upon your hands and hold the truth that when I can't, you always can. And standing here beneath the shadow of the cross, I'm overwhelmed that I keep finding hope.
Open arms.
Jesus, in your suffering, you were reaching your family. Jesus, in your suffering, you were What a love is this, that you gave your life for me and made a way for me to know you. What a love is this, that you gave your life for me and made a way for me to know you. When I woo and take offense, you're always enough for me. You're all for me. What love is this that you give your life for me? Love me and made a way for me to love you. And take offense, you're always enough for me. Always enough for me. Enough for me. Always enough for me. Amen.
Meanwhile, back in Haldra.
Oh, I did it! I did it! Let's go! Let's go! We did it! We did it! Okay, demons, now let's get information. Now Now that we've taken down our biggest opponent, what are our proposals to take over the rest of Havenia? Lust, Pride, care to present? What it is, you know what I'm saying?
Uh, actually, Jealousy here, I have the perfect plan to take over—
Ladies, we got this situation in the bag. Yes, y'all already know you can actually take a seat. Yeah, several. Yep, good boy. As we were saying, Dragon, this is what you need to do. Step 1, find you a baddie. Step 2, she gotta have a fatty. Hey, turn the look up. Hey, look back at it. Uh-oh, what is she doing? Friends, I don't have a fatty. Girl, we keep telling you it's okay. Your little bitty matter too, friend.
Okay.
Y'all know they don't be discriminating. Ooh, y'all, y'all, y'all. What you got? Maybe we can have they attraction perverted.
Ooh.
Or we can have they vision taste perverted. Or we can just blur it. Y'all, we gonna have them come to convenience. I know you only one call away, friend. You genius, y'all. Friend, they don't even know the price they'll pay. Have them caught up in emotions thinking it's right, but y'all know we ain't catching feelings, we catching flies. Now we don't want y'all stumbling now, do we? Moving on. We gonna have you thinking that your worth is really In a hookup, and if you act up, you can get snatched up. Period. Period. Look at their boots.
Sorry, old habits die hard. I apologize, but the idea was trash. Music was great. Great job, guys. Idea trash. No, no, no, no.
You're doing so much right.
I'm gonna need you to back up before you really catch the smoke because you don't.
The hair. The hair.
See, that's why you built like an uppercase P. Uh-huh, uh-huh, uh-huh. And your lace front coming off your head, peeling like an onion.
Come on, talk to me.
What you got to say?
Uh-huh, uh-huh. Your mama. That's a good one for you. You like to want to talk about mama. Spicy Mail, go ahead and sit down real quick for me because you really built like an iPhone 4. They told me to say. All right, tell us.
He's down.
Sit down!
I have an idea and it's so good!
You're doing too much!
It's such a good idea though!
Pride, do you have anything you would like to add?
Oh, but of course.
Okay.
They say pride always comes before the fall, and truer words have never been spoken. I'm always first, I'm always the best, and luckily for you, Dragon, the smartest man in the room is here with the perfect plan. You see, I don't need a team, and I most definitely don't need a savior, because a long time ago I found out that me, myself, and I is all I got, and they ain't like Destiny's Child. So I built these walls brick by brick, and there ain't a hater, a lover, or a spectator that can shake my firm foundation. Think about it— pride. Me, I'm the reason that the princess stole the jewel Of wisdom in the first place, pride is the reason we're all in Helder plotting and scheming devising these plans right now. Don't you see?
I'm him. I'm really him.
I'm pride, and I don't need you.
I don't need any of you. All sin starts with me.
But that's not what. I say the perfection of my plan is genuinely genius in its subtle simplicity. Do nothing. That's right, nothing. I say we sit back, relax, let them have it their way like Burger King, baby. Because with enough time, space, and opportunity, their sinful nature will turn into sinful actions. And that, my friends, is where the magic happens. They'll be so busy pointing fingers, Bible thumping, trolling comments, and making YouTube videos judging one another that they won't even realize they're being beautifully blinded by their pride, allowing sin to creep in and completely consume the people whole and leave me— I mean you, dragon— to effectively take over without having to touch a single soul.
We like the way you think.
I know you do.
I know you do. Yes, yes, precisely. That's perfect. That's, that's perfect. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
That's perfect to you? Like, you really like that idea? For real? For real? Actually, I'm sorry, let me rewind real quick. I ain't gonna lie to you, but you really said that thing, the monologue, you know, I We just met, white hoe. That was really cool. There's a couple things I could say. Your cornrows too tight, you don't have full vision, and the suit also very tight, bro. Go ahead. Other way. There you go. I have an idea. It's better than his.
Thank you so much. I think we got one.
My idea is tighter than the suit.
Thank you so much. No, no, no, no, I have an idea.
Please. See, that's why you got kicked out of Havana.
Singing like Mariah Carey on New Year's, you know what I'm saying?
And you You look like you laid your edges with Elmer's glue.
I'm sorry, Auntie Crap. I'm sorry.
How did you get kicked out of my life? You quiet now. And don't you ever forget, I made you. You right, you right.
I'm sorry. You right.
Big Green.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, you got it. That's all you get.
Over. Okay, just go. Okay, okay, all right, okay.
Oh God, I mean, uh, somebody else. I don't know.
And I am telling you, I'm not going. See, you're the best dragon I ever know. There's No way I can ever go. See, dragon, there's no way, no way in hell, I'm living without you. I'm not living without you. I don't want to be free. Yeah, you like that, huh? See, I'm staying, I'm staying, and you, and you.
And you, you're gonna love me.
Yeah! Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, And I ain't talking humble, open, and transparent. You feel me? You good? Yeah. Uh, DJ Helly Help, play that little song I like. Yeah, thank you. I'm not living without you, not living without you. I don't want no freedom. I'm saying thank you, thank you, and you, you're going to love me.
Yeah.
You're gonna love me. Yes, you are. Yes, you are. Love me. Love me. Love me. Oh hell! Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Incredible! Somebody's getting fired. Sensational! Really? But that wasn't the song. I was— is that LEO? Yeah, that's the one.
We got on top of the roof, we ain't have to call no truce. Big C, we don't follow the rules. Took over nation, the power loose. If it's us, then you know you will lose. The dragon, the future, the truth. If you want it with us, we got room. It Yeah, I just picked up a tool. We on high, so I make you be rude again. Take your act, you know I get loose. We the winner, ain't nothing to prove. Friday night, he go like some fool. He ain't never coming back from that. No chance to rap. Follow the dragon, now we on the map. If I'm on the track, then I'm running the lap. Yeah, the dragon said it, so I get it done. I'm still like a one-on-one. I'm a shine, so you my son. I whoop this head, he need a brace. See this face and got filled with hate.
The Knight of Armor, I vow to 3 days after the princes of the people arrived back in Havenia and relayed the dreadful news, the people were still grieving almost inconsolably. Suddenly, they were greeted by a group of angels bearing incredible news.
What news? Why do you cry? He has risen. Why are you weeping? He's not dead, why do you cry? He has risen, why are you weeping? He's not dead. He paid it all on the lonely highway, and his anointing. I can't feel. He shed his blood for my transgressions, and by his stripes we are healed.
He—
Why do you cry? He has risen. Why are you weeping? He's not dead. So as you go through life's journey, don't you worry. Lift up your head. Don't you cry. Stop your weeping. He has risen. He's not dead. Don't cry, wipe your eyes. He's not dead. Oh, oh, oh, oh. Don't leave. He's not asleep. Jehovah, he's not dead. Oh, don't leave. Cry, wipe your eyes. He's not dead. Oh no, no.
Come on, let's give our risen Savior the Give God the biggest shout of praise!
He's alive!
Hallelujah! Everybody standing everywhere, listen to me just for a moment. We have tried to paint a clear picture of what God has done for each one of us, and I don't care how far you feel from God, Through accepting the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for you today, you can be in right relationship with the Father. And I'm just gonna ask you, because we've been praying, and I need everybody who knows the deal, I need you to start praying right now, because eternities are weighing in the balance right now. Somebody's thinking that no way that God could accept me, and I'm here to tell you the The only way he would send his Son is if it was a real way he could have relationship with you. Watching at home, this today is the day of salvation. If you're in this room, on the count of 3, all I want you to do, if you want to accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, I just want you to slip your hand in the air. And I know religion is trying to knock on your mind right now. Now and say, but you got to change this. And they don't know what you got in the car, and they don't know what you're on right now. God says right now, I'll take all of that, all of your mess, and I'll turn it into a message. I'll take all your broken pieces and I'll turn it into a masterpiece. Today is your day to meet with your Father. And there's one other group of people in this room that you used to be close to the Father, and you've been trying to do it your own way. And God is saying tonight, come home, wayward son. Come home, lost daughter. I have a table, a ring, a robe, and a place for you at my table. No longer do you have to do it your way. According to Romans 10:9, all you have to do is Believe Jesus Christ died on the cross for you and repent of your sins. And that's not something that's deep. All that means is to turn. You've been going your own way, and today God is saying to repent. What does that mean? Turn. And right now is your moment of salvation. It's the best decision you can ever make. It took me from being a liar, a manipulator, somebody who was addicted to pornography. It doesn't matter how young you are. It doesn't matter how old you are. Today, God wants to be in close relationship with you. On the count of 3, I want you all over the world and in this room to raise your hand if you want to make Jesus your personal Lord and Savior, or if you want to come back to the Father again. 1, you are making the greatest decision of your life. 2, I'm proud of you, but forget all Your name today is going to be written in the Lamb's Book of Life for all of eternity. Come on. With faith in your heart, 3, shoot your hand up. I see you, brother. I see you, sister. I see— oh, y'all better help me. I see you. God sees you. I see you. Can we give God praise right now? Because heaven is being populated and hell is being plundered. Now the beautiful thing about giving your life to Jesus at Transformation Church is that we're a family. Nobody prays alone. And I don't care who you are and what you've been through tonight, God is saying, I want you with me. So Transformation Church, I want us to all pray this prayer together for the benefit of those who are coming to Christ online in your home right now. You've been ignoring the broadcast The whole time, but the Holy Spirit has been drawing you. This moment is for you right now. Would you just lift your hands in the international sign of surrender? Yep. This is saying I'm not holding anything back, and I just want you to say this out loud. Say, God, thank you for sending Jesus just for me. Today, I turn away from my old. I turn to you. I believe you lived, you died, and you rose again with all power just for me. Today I bury my old life and I'm resurrecting a new creature. Change me. Renew me.
Amen. Change me.
Transform me. I'm yours. From this day forward, I'll serve you. In Jesus' name, amen. Can we turn up right now with all of heaven? The Bible says heaven turns up over one soul. I saw over 50 people in here. I saw people People online, can we give God a shout of praise in this place? Hallelujah! Listen, listen, if you just made that decision, 2 things. Number one, I want you to text saved to 828282, and we want to send you some information. We have Bibles out in the lobby that we want to give you. We want to walk with you. We want to stand with you. We want to pray with you. You don't ever have to believe the lie of the deceiver that you're alone again. There's somebody that's been where you've been and want to walk with you. And the other thing I would say is just come back.
Come back.
Like, like, like, it's one thing to be here one time, but something keeps happening when you keep coming to a place and you feel the love of God and you met messed up this week, but people ain't judging you. They encouraging you to keep taking a step forward. And then you move outside of yourself and you start helping people and serving people. It'll change you from the inside out. Yeah. And this will be your best year if it is your best year spiritually. I'm gonna say that one more time. This will be your best year if it's your best year spiritually. At Transformation Church, we love you. We're grateful, and we thank God for the transformation he's doing right now. I gotta take this moment. Can we thank God for this amazing cast and crew? Y'all, they've been doing this for weeks and months, and I need you to show them some love. If all the cast and crew, director's team, will come out here. Thank you. I need like 10 more seconds with y'all. Y'all, I just want to say to everybody, On behalf of the over 560 people that gave their life to Christ over this path, I said over 560 people in one weekend. Those are just the ones that's not counting tonight. 561, 562, 563. Okay. I want to say thank you. Some of these people moved here in crazy faith. There are people who have paid for babysitters and doing school in the middle of the night and getting babysitters for, for their children. And I just want to say thank you. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Every person that just gave their life to Christ is going to be accredited to the account in heaven for the work that you did. Oh y'all, come on! And I am just grateful to have a church that would present the gospel, that would reach over the edge and snatch people back. It's not just the people on this stage. For every children's church worker over the weekend, for every sound technician, all the lighting people, sound, AV.
The band.
The band. Oh my gosh, can we thank God for every usher and greeter and parking lot, everybody that has something to do with this? Thank you. Um, I gotta say this to the core team that put this together. Um, they went crazy, and, um, um, it was under the direction— this is really, really special to me, under the direction of my youngest brother Grayson. Come here, man. Y'all, he owned this thing. So proud of you. This young man is gifted, talented, creative, and he knows— he's been my little brother his whole life, and he knows my standard of excellence. This young man took over this production and literally called his friends, his schoolmates, bribed people that owed him money, and he told me— he came to my house and said, Mike, don't worry about it. God's given me the vision. I'm gonna represent. I'm gonna carry this. And publicly, man, I just want to say thank you. I love you. I'm proud of you. Hey, can we affirm creatives in the house of God? They don't gotta go to the world. They can do it right here. Majesty Pearson, come here real quick. Y'all, she played the devil, but she's really an angel. I just, I just want to affirm in the house of God your creativity. We're gonna work on creating space for you to to make livings. No, y'all, we're believing that we're gonna help create space for you to make a living dancing, for you to make a living. Chris, come here real quick, man. This is the choreographer. I just need y'all to help me celebrate for a second. These dancers were phenomenal. The choreography, the team. Thank you, brother. Uh, Meech, where you at? Big Meech, come here. This young lady held this whole thing together. Her and Haley. I don't know where you at. Where's she at? Come here, Haley. Y'all, thank y'all. We needed the white girls to hold it together for us. You know what I'm saying? Thank you for believing in the vision. Where's John? Every graphic you saw— it's my godbrother, man. I love you so much. One of the most creative people in the world. Our music director back there, Caleb Shawn, in the back. Like, y'all can't see him, but he's a maestro. And all these crazy singers up here. Did they—
What?
What would happen if the kingdom of God actually supported the creatives and made space for them to express? We wouldn't be asking them to come off of stages with all the these celebrities if we made stages for them in the house of God. So I don't know if we taking Ransom on the road, I don't know what we doing, but we just gonna see God take it to the next level. Um, as we get ready to leave tonight, for everybody that I didn't call your name, the beautiful thing about this is God keeps record of every person that serves his house, and he takes care of their house. So for you, for the prayer team and the, and the ushers and the people who got to clean up the little confetti afterwards— Joe Hare and the stagehands and Mary Gary and everybody that— just everybody. I, I gotta quit calling names, but like John Stanton with all of the clothes and the design, and Jay, like every— like, and, um, I gotta call one more person's name. Heather, come here. Heather, come here. Heather, now you just— I need you to clap because we wouldn't have paid stuff. Stuff wouldn't have been together. Heather, come here. I just need you to clap just till she— she don't want no credit. This, this woman of God put her heart into this, y'all. Thank you, Heather. Since you've been a part of this ministry, you've been able to take our vision to a whole nother level. She left a real Really, really, really, really good job to serve God's kingdom, and she's making an impact everywhere. Thank you. Thank you to your husband, your children. We are just grateful. This is what the kingdom of God looks like. This ain't built on one person. This is built on a bunch of people who are committed to representing God to the lost and found for transformation in Christ. Tonight, I hope you were blessed. I hope you get inspired to not sit on the gifts that God has given you. Thank God for every person that's here, and we're believing God for miracles. As we leave tonight, we're gonna dismiss, but just could you lift your hands one more time just in this place and say, by your Spirit, say, by your Spirit. The resurrected King. He's resurrecting me.
Hey! In Your Name, I come alive to declare Your victory. The resurrected King. It's Easter Sunday. He's resurrected.
Said there is no one higher.
No one great, no one like our God. There is none more able, Christ our Savior, great in glory. Just one more time. There is no one high, no one great, no one like our God. There is none more able, Christ our Savior, great in glory.
Father, thank you for what you've done for the past 2 days. you've met us right here.
Yes.
And Father, we thank you for transforming all of our lives today. God, we thank you that the presence we have felt in this place doesn't stay here. It travels with us tomorrow on our jobs. Let us feel your sweet presence when we fly back to our homes. Let us feel your sweet presence, Father God, even as we go to lay down. Father, I Thank you for sweet rest, Father, for all the cast, the crew, the teams. Father, I thank you for sweet rest, God. Father, I thank you that this doesn't stop this week. I thank you that next week there will be a swell, a momentum of people feeling drawn back to the house of God, not just for this church but every church in Tulsa, Father God. Not just for every church in Tulsa but for the capital C Church of around the world. Father, let your house be expanded with people who want to be just like you. Thank you for what you've done. We give you all glory, we give you all honor, and we give you all praise. Thank you for paying our ransom so that we can have a relationship with you, God. Thank you for sending your Son. It's in Jesus' amazing, matchless name we pray. Everybody shout amen! Let's give God one more shout of praise in this building. Hallelujah! Hey, listen, next week we're gonna be here. We're starting a brand new series and it's gonna be phenomenal. If you need prayer for anything, we've done this every service because a lot of people— you saw the production, but there's something still hurting in you. I'mma ask the prayer team to come to the front. We're dismissing everybody online. We love you, but if you in this room and you need prayer for your marriage, an addiction, a migraine, whatever's going on, we got regular people down here that know how to touch and agree. And the Bible said where there are 2 or 3 gathered in my name, he said, I'm right there in the midst. I'm just begging everybody, don't leave here clapping your hands for good production and go out of here with the weights that have been holding you down. The healer is here. Freedom is here. And if you need prayer, wherever you are, we're gonna worship for a second, and I want you to come down and get prayer. The camera's gonna go off. If you're in the chat and you need prayer, put what you need prayer in there for, and somebody's gonna begin to pray for you. We love you. We thank God for you. Happy Easter. Until next week, go out.
Go out.
And live a transformed life. We love you.
