Operation Ignorance - Live Worship

This content was created by Sharnita Gates. This content was uploaded by Sharnita Gates. This is a YouTube live worship/sermon video titled "Operation Ignorance - Live Worship" (Fertile Hearts series), created June 8, 2023. A single speaker (host of Fertile Hearts, labeled SPEAKER A) leads a devotional teaching and live-worship message that walks through Psalm 22 (verses 1–31). The speaker interprets the psalm as moving from agony, abandonment, and loss of dignity to praise and restoration, urging listeners to cast their cares on God, worship in seasons of loneliness, seek Scripture for understanding, and pass the faith to future generations. The talk is pastoral/exhortative rather than a multi-person conversation.
Chapters
Hey everyone, and welcome back to Fertile Hearts, where we are fruitful and multiplying, especially multiplying the word of God. So how do we be fruitful? We share in the love, the joy, the patience, the forgiveness, the kindness, the gentleness, and that God has shared with us. So as we dive into the word, the word that we have for today is coming from Psalms 22. And as we dive into the message, I want you to open up your ears here, but also listen for understanding of the word. In this series, we are in the series of Operation Ignorance. So we're not going to ignore what God is trying to tell us in this season of our life. So as we dive into the word, into Psalms 22, I'm going to read it, but I'm going to break it down as we go. Okay, so Psalms 22, verses 1 through 2. God, God, my God, Why did you dump me miles from nowhere? Doubled up with pain, I called to God all the day long. No answer, nothing. I keep at it all night, tossing and turning. So we want to kind of relate, like we, we are leaning in for understanding. When he was crying out, saying, my God, God, God, why? Why? It's a place that you may be in in life, and sometimes we are in places where we feel like we're miles from nowhere. So we may be at a place where we don't know, so we call out and say, God, God, God, my God. And that's why we're going to the word, because he says, seek and we shall find, and it shall be given to you. So we're seeking the word when we are in this place of life where we are calling out and we feel like there's pain, and we may feel like we're in a place of agony. It's agonizing to be here. So that is just Psalms 22, verses 1 through 2. So if you are able to reference at any point in time when you feel like you are in a place of agony, I would, I would send you to or recommend Psalms 22, verses 1 through 2 as a starting point. And then we're going to go into 3 and 5 because we're going to open up the— our hearts to be able to go through, even starting at a place of agony. So verses 3 through 5. And you, are you indifferent above it all, leaning back on the cushions of Israel's praise? We know you were there for our parents. They cried for your help and you gave it. They trusted and lived a good life. So that's basically saying you're not exempt. So this gives you a confirmation to know that you're not exempt from the pain. With knowing that even your parents, great-grandparents, everybody is not exempt from pain. So this is basically being able to embrace the agony that you're going to be facing in life. So as you face different types of agony in your life, know that you're not exempt from that. So it's, it's, it's, it's prevalent. It's is something that you're going to have to go through. So there's no way out of pain or agony, but there is a way in to what God is saying. So we're going to go into verses 6 through 8. And here I am, a nothing, an earthworm, something to step on, to squash. Everyone pokes fun at me. They make faces at me. They shake their heads. Let's see how God handles this one. Since God likes him so much, let him help and let him help him. So this is basically saying when you're facing trouble and persecution or evil judgment, you know, give it over to God. Let God handle it. So if someone maybe persecuting you, or you're facing any type of judgment and it's bringing you some type of agony, go to verses 6 through 8. Because even like, let's see how God handles this one. Since God likes him so much, let him help him. So letting God help him, give it over to God and cast all your cares, your worries upon him, because he cares even for you, even when you're going through that place of agony. So we're going to go into the verses 9 through 11. And to think you were midwife at my birth, setting me at my mother's breast. When I left the womb, you cradled me. Since the moment of birth, you've been my God. Then you moved far away and trouble moved in next door. I need a neighbor. So it's basically— this is a setting of somebody who's in a place of life where Where like, you, you, you know me, like you've known me for a while, um, but I'm going through agony now and I feel alone. So it's like, um, you don't have that person next to you and it maybe bring you a little bit of agony or a little bit of pain. So, and then you're facing type of judgments, you're, um, you're feeling like nothing. Um, so you feel abandoned and alone. So you're calling out to God. This is a place where I'm encouraging you to call out to God. Let him know that I'm in pain. Like, don't hold it in. Pour it out. Casting—that's what casting is: pouring it out, cutting the cords, no cords, just being able to pour it all out to him. So and then when you're feeling abandoned alone, so you're not just in agony. Can you identify why I'm in agony? I'm in agony because I'm feeling abandoned and alone. Um, someone who was there, like, you know, a shoulder to lean on— that shoulder is no longer there to lean on. So you were looking for somebody to lean on. Lean on God. Um, he cares for you. Cry out to help to God. Be obedient. Go to God first. That's a whole nother word. Um, so as we go into 12 to 13 of Psalms 22. Herds of bulls come at me, the raging bulls stampede, horns lowered, nostrils flaring. So they're feeling weak and afraid now. Now we're getting into the point where they're feeling a little bit weak and afraid, like a herd of buffalo on the move. So it's like things are just moving and shaking and things are just happening all over the place. So we're going to go into where you can find yourself lost in understanding, where you're feeling— anytime you have any type of agony in your heart, there's a place of ignorance. And it's not necessarily a bad thing, it's just basically there's something that you need to know, and God's word has all the answers. It's just seeking the guidance from God and guidance And being obedient to seek God first and seeking his word and spending time in his word. That's why we're deep diving into Psalms 22. We're going into a place of where we may feel lost. So in verses 14 through 15, I'm a bucket kicked over and spilled. Every joint in my body has been pulled apart. My heart is a blob or melted wax in my gut. I'm dry as a bone, my tongue black and swollen. They have laid me out for burial in the dirt. Wow, that is a true heartache. Your heart is aching based off of the agony and pain of feeling alone. You're lost in understanding. Anytime you don't have any understanding, it is your heart. That's a heart posture. Understanding is a heart posture. So you have to lean not into your own understanding But trust in the Lord with all your heart. So that's basically when you having that heartache, trust in the Lord. Trust in the Lord. Be obedient to seek his word and say, "Hey Lord, I need you to guide me through it." So right now we're starting in a place of agony. We're in a place of agony, and so we're leaning to try to. Now we're at a place of not understanding. So your your heart is aching, and it's aching for the word. Now packed— and this is verses 16 through 18— now packs of wild dogs come at me. Thugs came up on me. They pinned me down hand and foot and locked me in a cage. A bag of bones in a cage, stared, stared at by every passerby. So then got eyes on you. You got eyes all on you. They take my wallet and the shirt off my back, and then they throw dice for my clothes. So you're stripped of your dignity. That's a— that going through that, you know, you have being pinned down, um, you're locked in a cage. That, that's, that's your, your dignity. You have to dig your way out of it. That's a place where you have to dig yourself out of. So now you're— you have that heartache, you're in a, a pit, um, you might be feeling pity, um. So anytime you're in a pit and you, you feel like you're you, you can't get out, you start to have that pity, um, where you start to put yourself in that pit deeper and deeper. So we want to, you know, get ourselves out of it. So we have to continue to seek the word, dive into the word. Don't just stop at verses 16 and 18 because there's more to come. God's word is full of answers. So right now we're still in the, this, the area of losting And are lost in our understanding. So 19 through 21. You, God, don't put off my rescue. Hurry and help me. Don't let them cut my throat. Don't let those monsters devour me. If you don't show up soon, I'm done for, gored by the bulls, meat for the lions. So you're crying out for help, like, God, dude, we need you to rescue me. Rescue me from this loss of understanding, um, this place of ignorance, of feeling like I'm in— I'm, I'm being attacked, I'm alone, I'm being stripped of my dignity, eyes are on me, I'm being watched. I'm, I'm in a place— it's really a place of being lost. And so you're crying out to help, you're crying out to help, you know, crying out for help from God, and you're saying God, you're saying his name. That's being obedient, saying, I'm crying out to you, Lord, even in a place where I feel like I'm alone. And there may be hundreds of thousands of people around you, you still have to cry, cry out to God and be obedient to seek him first and all of his righteousness. So this is where the righteousness of God— like, when you're in this place, how do you, how do you behave? You know, How do you? How do you get out of that? How do you push through? Just like we're pushing through the scriptures. We're at verse twenty-one now, and now we have we have more verses to come because we're still crying out for help. Seems like it's still at the beginning. So in verses twenty-two through twenty-four, here's the story I'll tell my friends when they come to worship and punctuate it with hallelujahs. Shout hallelujah, you God worshipers! Give glory, give glory! I repeat that: give glory, you God worshipers! Give glory, you sons of Jacob! Adore him, you daughters of Israel! He has never let you down. He never looked the other way when you were being kicked around. He was never— he has never wandered off to do his own thing. He has been right there listening, worshiping. This is a— like I said, if you are in this Fertile Hearties group, you always know when I say always, I say anytime lonely, worship answers your soul. So any— anytime you hear me say always, that's basically giving you the answer that anytime you're facing any type of loneliness, agony, pain, Worship your soul. Answer worship answers your soul always. So give God the glory even in the midst of where we're coming right off of crying out to God. Worship. This is the story that you would tell, like, come to worship, give God glory, let it out, even shout hallelujah. Um, punctuate it. It's like a piece of paper, a piece of paper of heartache. If a piece of paper could represent heartache, and you had to punctuate it, like put holes, you know, put you put holes in that paper till it's all the way gone with your glory, with your hallelujah, until that paper of heartache is gone, punctuated. That's that's a great example. So maybe I have to do that example at one point. That would be a great example of taking a hole puncher and just. Hearts and that of agony and heartache, oh, it just kind of just punctuated with a whole bunch of holes until it's all the way gone. Um, and it's full of the holes represent the glory and the hallelujahs that we're giving to God. So as we step into verses 25 through 26, here in the great gathering for worship, I have discovered this praise life, and I'll do what I promised right here in front of the God worshipers. Down-and-outers sit at God's table and eat their fill. Everyone on the hunt for God is here praising him. Live it up from head to toe. Don't ever quit. So you— now you're getting out of that place of agony. Like, now you're being loud and bold. Like, oh, this word is giving me life right now, um, to be able to just live it up. Like, now you're going— you were just going through agony and pain. Now you're living it up. Yeah, that's the power and glory of and of God. Like just saying thank you, God. Thank you. Thank you even for the agony. Thank you even for the pain. Even thank you for even the loss of understanding because I gained wisdom. I gained your word. I gained understanding in you and who you are. So that's the power of your praise. So you start to walk in that loudness and that boldness just by reading the word, studying the word. And so now we're going into verses 27 through 28. From the 4 corners of the earth, people are coming to their senses, are running back to God. Long-lost families are falling, falling on their faces before, before him. God has taken charge. From now on, he has the last word. So God has the last word through it all, through the agony, the pain, through all being stripped of your dignity. Knowing that God has the last word, you can still give it over to him. Like I said in the beginning, Cast all your cares upon him because he cares for you. And so as you go into God's word, stand knowing he has the last word. So when you go to read the word, knowing that he has the last word, the last word. Now, now I'm remembering and understanding because in my heart now I have it to say God has the last word. God has the last word. God is the word. In the beginning was the word, and the word was God, and the word with God. And the word is God. Okay, so God has the last word. And so as we go into 29, all the power mongers are before him worshiping, all the poor and powerless too worshiping, along with those who never got it together worshiping. So the charge, the charge is to worship. The charge is to worship. Everybody, power mongers, poor and powerless, those who never got it together, worship. So this message is worshiping, worshiping any time of agony, pain. There's no giving up because you're being obedient to get the word and the word of God and the answer that he has for you. And they were— the answer that he has for you is to worship him in all truth. And so in verses 30 through 31 Our children and their children will get on, get in on this as the word is passed along from parent to child. Babies not yet conceived will hear the good news, and we know that the good news is the good news is the word about Christ. So as we continue to get better with the word and spiritually, we learn, we, we learn more about Christ. So therefore, we hearing more of the good news about Christ. Christ. And not just that he's our Lord and Savior, which he is— he is our Lord and Savior. Um, so that God does what he says. So the mission is God does what he says. So at the end of Psalms 22, God has done what he has said. You went from a place of agony and pain to now a place of worship, a place of being loud and bold in the word of Christ. So that's, that's our goal, is to be bold in the word of Christ over the lies of this world. So if you are part of the campaign, we are taking the L out of the world and coming with the word. So this is the word of God, Psalms 22. If you are in that place, I highly suggest you read the word, study the word, and let it get into your heart to gain that understanding And be able to trust in the Lord with all your heart and knowing that God has the last word. Thank you guys for joining Fertile Hearts, and be fruitful and multiply. Be blessed.
