Podcast Pioneers: Masterclass on Starting Your Own Show

In this extensive coaching session, Sharnita Gates guides participant KB through the full planning process for a new transformational Christian podcast titled "Sunday Mornings with KB," slated to launch on February 5. The conversation covers spiritual vision and commitment, defining the target audience (believers and seekers) and the transformational call‑to‑action, selecting platforms (YouTube as the primary hub with TikTok and Instagram for promotion), structuring content (series vs. continuous episodes, batching 3‑4 episodes before launch, and creating a detailed content calendar). Production logistics are discussed, including equipment (microphones, iPad, OBS, lighting, Canva, Vimeo), recording location, intro/outro creation, and live‑vs‑recorded formats. Guest strategy, partnership and sponsorship opportunities, and team‑building (videographers, engineers) are outlined. Collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams for communication and Monday.com for project tracking are recommended, along with a master checklist. Monetization ideas (digital products, mastermind courses, multiple income streams) and a clear promotional week leading up to launch are planned. The session is interwoven with repeated prayers, spiritual affirmations, and a strong emphasis on aligning the project with God’s will.

You can, you can. Okay, good, good, good. I had the mic too close. I was like, I don't know if you can hear. I wanted to make sure you could hear me first. How's it going?
Everything's good, woman of God.
Everything's good, you know, you know.
But I'm still like a little bit relaxing.
Yeah, how you feeling?
Weird, but it feels weird, but it's It's all good.
Okay, okay. That— well, I'm happy it's getting better.
I don't like that itch, you know, but I showed them something like a second toe. Tylenol will work. That Tylenol, whatever that is, will work. Yeah.
Do it have you drowsy?
It didn't, but I kept moving. I got I had to get some clothes in the washer real quick, but I'm I'm I'm I'm chilling. I'm chilling now. So I don't know, but it ain't got me driving like it used to be.
Well, well, good, good, good, good about that.
Good.
Well, overall, I definitely wanted to make sure you were you were feeling better.
How you doing? How you feeling? You let us know you're meeting tonight.
I am. I'm excited to kind of you know. See what is, what is going to take. You know, just preparation.
You taking natural life before, right? Mm-hmm.
Yeah, you got this. I just want to see as far as how much as facilitators what can be done. Like how do they put together the the The topics, and because previously before in my Master Life group, they was pretty much, um, it was up to the facilitators how they ran, um, each week. So if that's the case, then, and also if they're going to pair 2 people, what's the number? So I guess I just have a lot of questions and try to get as much information as possible.
I hear that. But you got this, no matter what.
You got this for you. Yeah, yeah. Well, I appreciate that.
I really do.
I really do.
Yes, ma'am. I ain't gonna hold you. I know you got a whole nother busy, busy woman.
Nah. Well, I'm open. Um, I guess we can go ahead and get started. Just, you know, see where Because I'm, I'm excited, you know, about everything. So I stay excited, I stay with the great energy.
We are excited. Yes, we are. I'm excited too, you know, excited that for one, how this came about and how you called me was just crazy. It's not crazy, but it was God. Like, it's a G thing, it's a God thing. So definitely operating that because I can't let this like meeting just like pass by this week because I I know that God ordained this, so whatever it takes, God, you know, get me there.
Well, I know you asked for the prayer request for me. Um, I figured that we'll— once I get— we meet, we can— I can ask you your prayer request and we can pray in on both.
That's cool, that's cool. I definitely drop it. Okay, so I drop it at the end.
Okay, you want to pray at the end or you want to pray in?
Well, both.
I like to play out, but if if you want, if you want to just say it, we can. You can say it and we can go straight into prayer. Amen.
It seemed like you ready to pray.
I didn't know how to pray.
My prayer request is just you know Jehovah Jahweh to have his way. You know Jehovah Rapha too. You know what I'm saying? Because when you cross over into a new door, the old door is like sometimes I can be detached and all that type of stuff. Like healing has to occur. So Jehovah Jireh to provide, you know, because I know he's going to provide, but I need, I need him to like come through, come through, come through, come through.
You know, healing.
Yeah, healing. So basically that's all I need.
You know, well, I know I went— I know I went in on my prayer book. I don't remember all, all everything that was there.
So, I mean, not, not like your prayer book like that. I remember everything. Like, I, I know, I know your walk right now. I've been there. See, some folks don't understand the spiritual fight. They don't know about the witchcraft and all that stuff, you know, that goes on in that world and how you got to fight all the time, pray without ceasing, because this is happening, that's happening, and then you got some going on for yourself. Like, it's so much stuff going on, and I know where you at, you know. So I know that right there, your prayer request is a prayer request that I take before the throne, you know what I'm saying? I have to meditate, get in the spirit, talk to God, sit there for— when I meditate and talk to God, sometimes I'm there for 4 or 5 hours. Sometimes I'm there for 1, 2 hours. Sometimes 30 minutes, just depending on how he moved. But, uh, that right there, I gotta go before the throne. Yeah, look, you calling forth, you calling forth all the angels, you calling forth heaven's army. It's like you calling forth stuff. Like, you, you ain't just— I don't just got— I don't just need guidance. Like, I need everything.
Like, everything.
This is what I need.
Like you said, he is a provider. He truly is. Look, he's also my banner, so I wear it proudly.
That's all.
That's one of the things is, um, all in this year as far as my commitment. Like, you know, I'm always committed to God, but this time it's a different walk. It's more of, um, yeah, it, it's his walk, it's his will. Um, I'm under his authority, and so his, his He knows what he's doing, and I know as long as I stay within his will, I'm on the right track. So he, you know, gave me a lot this year, which I'm happy that you said earlier as far as rest, because we're gonna talk about God a lot this time. But when it came to come off, I mean, I'm just coming off of a good rest with just spending time with him, understanding clearly his will. word and what are the next, uh, phase that he has me in. Um, accepting, um, like I said, I said yes when I— when he— when he came to me and clarified, you know, everything that he's been telling me over, you know, my entire life. Um, I said yes, and that's when I— when I say yes, I go big. So, um, and I'm all in, uh, in commit— commitment. So you might hear me say a lot, um, As far as commitment, because that's pretty much where I am right now. So it's like I'm committed to doing his work. So right now he has like a lot of work that needs to be done because his word needs to be done. Like you said, we need healing, we need his help. He's providing us with everything we need. It's just now we just have to do the work. I have faith in you know knowing that we we too shall prosper. You know, so I'm just so I guess we I kick off the prayer and if you wanted to join in at the end you could.
Got you. I'm in it.
Okay. Dear Heavenly Father, we come humbly before you first saying thank you for everything that you have blessed us with. Thank you for this opportunity to come. Come together as your children, as your women of God, of you, dear Heavenly Father, in your likeness. That we know that you've spoken a word to each one of us to do your will, and that you have chosen us to continue in our faith, dear Heavenly Father. So we just say thank you, and we know that you are our provider, dear Heavenly Father. You are Jehovah Jireh, you are Jehovah Rapha, you are our healer. So heal our minds, our souls, our bodies, our our families, our friends, and even our enemies, dear Heavenly Father, as we jump into this battle to do your work. So we ask that you continue to just give us strength and give us the power and authority to walk in your name, dear Heavenly Father, and spread your word in the way that you will see best fit. Dear Heavenly Father, we ask that you continue to watch over every connection that's made, every life that is changed, every life that is impacted. Dear Heavenly Father, we just ask that you place your hand upon us And wrap your hedge of protection over us. We know that you are almighty, dear Heavenly Father, and we will stay within the gate of your protection, dear Heavenly Father, as we go forward in everything that we do this year, dear Heavenly Father. So we just first say thank you. We send you the glory, we send you the honor, and we send you the praise. In Jesus' name, amen.
Amen. Dear Heavenly Father, we also want to just touch and agree. Thank you for bringing us through the threshold of a new day. Thank you for Father God, for breaking forth heaven like never before. Thank you, Father God, for all that you're doing in our lives together and separately. Father God, thank you for putting this divine plan together before we ever knew each other. You put us in each other's space. Thank you, Father God, for all that you're doing in Sharnita's life. Father God, I just pray that you pour back into her as you pour into me. Thank you, Father God, for all that you're doing and continuously covering her, protecting her, guiding her, and revealing yourself more and more to her. Father God, she just Yes. And to earnestly seek you for everything, uh, that she needs and seek you for every move that she needs to make. So Father God, right now, in the name of Jesus, any holdup or holdback that is in her way, we come against it in the name of Jesus. Thank you, Father God, for all that you're doing. Thank you for covering her, protecting her, showing her, guiding her, healing her, revealing things to her, Father God, and fighting on her behalf. Thank you, Father God, for never leaving her nor forsaking her. Thank you for knowing the prayers that you have for her. Yes, Father God, I pray that you, you bless her and put your rest and hand upon her like miracle fluid, so no matter what she goes into in this season, she can always trust you because she always knows that you will provide for her no matter what. So Father God, I uphold her, this woman of God, uh, before you who have chosen her as your own. You've called her by her name and by your name. So thank you, Father God, for all that you're doing.
Amen.
Pouring back into her vats and barns. She will never run dry. It will never run dry. Thank you, Father God, for new oil, new wine.
Yes.
Thank you, Father God, for new blessings. Father God, thank you for new revelation. Thank you, Father God, for increase and overflow like never before, anointing her territory and keeping your mighty hand rested upon her. So Father God, we thank you for coming to this meeting. We pray, Father God, even in the midst of her going to another meeting, we will still, uh, before settlement, wrap up this meeting and be able to like tackle everything we need to tackle. Yes, this is a brief meeting, Father God, but we know that you can move even in a brief time. So Father God, even as she goes to her second meeting that starts at 7, we're about to clap and pray that she get clarity and everything that she needs. Thank you, Father God, for covering her, protecting her with that also, and just showing her which way to go. So Father God, thank you for working throughout this meeting. Thank you for having us to partner together, and we love you, Father God. We need you to continue to guide us and keep us. Jesus in your sight. Jesus' name, amen.
Amen. Amen. But we gonna have to probably, um, set some time to prayer because I really enjoy that, Lord. Yes, Lord. He really do. So I, I really like the fact that you put together your agenda so that way I can stay on track because, um, I definitely don't want to pour out too much information, but, um, where it comes at, I can understand your, your goals, your— the purpose and everything, so I can align what you need and not necessarily what I think you need. Um, so I, I guess we can start. Um, or let me just say, as far as me, what I'm going to pour into is more of Um, a coaching aspect to it, you know, character, because this is everything that's behind technology that I feel like will get you to the next level, like big. Um, and staying on top of the goals and, um, your purpose. Um, so because that's going to be my focus, um, as far as making sure the communication is there, um, and, you know, that you care and One other thing is I do love to, you know, share and promote. So that's pretty much, um, I have a think big, dream big, big, big mindset.
Yeah.
Um, so in the end, I— my goal is for when I say his will be done, his will will be done in a big way. Big way. So, um, I just wanted to kind of share that as we go into it because that way you'll have the mindset a little bit like I have. Even if we do start small, just know that like you— it will, it will scale at some point.
Yeah.
Once you, once you say go, we go, we go, go, go. So it's more of your vision. That's going to be important for me to know. Um, and from there, we'll get to— um, yeah, I keep going. I'm gonna go ahead and get back, get on started with the agenda. So you said, what is the best platform for the podcast? So One of the things is, I'm going to go ahead and explain it. There is so many different pregnant platforms out here. Every platform—
Pregnant?
Yeah, they're pregnant. They're birthing. They're birthing. So this is the time for you to get in and birth, um, and take advantage of these opportunities and birth the next big thing. Um, because out of every platform, nothing is really big. You see what I'm saying? So it's, it's it's enough space for triplets to come out, you know what I'm saying? So you can triple the success that you see in each platform. So you said Apple.
No Limits.
No Limits. Now Apple is more of, let's say for instance, there's no visual. So that's why I don't know if you've seen that I added the question as far as Audio and visual. Um, so if you go audio, um, then that would just be Apple. But with YouTube, I recommend YouTube as the starting platform. I'm not sure if you have, um, a website already.
I do, it's just not set up.
Okay, so that's not really needed at this point because that's more of once you start receiving things in, if you want to start driving people there, um, to YouTube first, um, just to get it to— once you get it started, get feedback. And you know, once you get to a point where it's like, okay, I'm ready, let's go, then everything, you'll start building up a content management system. And also like an information management system. So there's going to be a lot of systems that's going to be in place to help you at the end to scale in multiple ways.
Okay.
So I would say YouTube first, um, depending on if you want to share it, if you If you don't want to share it, just share it. If— do you want to build up, let's say for instance, 3 or 4 episodes and then start?
Yeah.
Okay.
Or, or like, how do you put— because I remember a marketing lady told me it's best to go ahead and make like 3 or 4 episodes all at one time, and then like you a month ahead, or you are 2 weeks ahead or something like that.
Definitely. And that's why, um, I got you a calendar and a book, because it's going to— one is going to be like a content creation calendar. So like there'll be set days for when you'll create the content. So, and you can create multiple different content. So let's say for instance you have, um, you want to start off with series 1.
Okay.
Um, that's another, another thing as far as if you want to do series, um, or if you would just want to continue a whole straight, um, countdown. Like, okay, we can go to episode 96, but there's no breakdown on the topics. I personally would break down in topics.
Mm-hmm.
That way you can, um, even chop those down into even more the longest. Yeah, you see what I'm saying? So, and you already won't have to do that in the end and have to go back and watch each one of them like, okay, which one do this one go, which one do this one go. So let's say for instance, um, what would, what would be the, uh, what would be your audience, man?
So my audience will be people searching for Christ, people who know Christ, people who are trying to get deeper with Christ. And I mean, honestly, I don't, I don't want to put no limits on the, on the audience because I need believers and non-believers to come because non-believers can turn into a believer.
Okay.
It's like Paul. Paul, he was never— he was a Saul before he was a Paul. So I, I— but right now, like, my target is Even as a non-believer, before you were born here, you were called by God. So all God's children, I don't care how old you are, I don't care how young you are. Um, so yeah, that's, that's, that's it, you know. So, and then I know that may like be on a grander scale, but I can't just say women, I can't just say little kids or just young adults.
I got, you know, so what would be your focused audience? Like, okay, let's say for instance, are you trying to be informational, motivational, um, transformational? What, what, what are you trying to, let's say for instance, convey to your audience to— for them to actually act? So are you, are you familiar with the call to action?
Call to action, yes. Okay, I've heard, I've heard that. And then also with the ministerial point of view, call to action.
So yeah, that's pretty much where it'll help you tie as far as the audience, because the main thing that you want is for them to act upon. Like, let's say for instance, um, me and you were having this conversation. I was just to say You know, at the end, you may be able to start your first digital, put out your first digital product. You see what I'm saying? You may be able to have one product and be able to make, sell it and scale it and multiple people just by listening to this one interaction, this one meeting, you can scale and sell it or not even necessarily, yeah, sell it because that's what they call it, it's action.
Mm-hmm.
No matter if whatever you're saying, you have to sell it.
Okay.
So, if you're selling transformation information, you want to sell people to say, hey, let's say for instance, you have a— you're trying to get them to— non-believers to become believers, so the call to action will be, you know, you can receive the gift of salvation. So, that would be more of, okay, I'm more of a trans— I'm focusing and more transformational, most of my things is going to transform people's lives, whether they are believers or whether they're non-believers.
Yeah, that's it right there.
Okay, okay, that's it right there.
That transformational— honestly, truth be told, I took a transformational keynote speaking class, um, and when you do transformational keynote speaking, uh, or speaking period, transformational speaking, they say stop calling yourself a motivational inspirational speaker. You need to be a transformational speaker because you need to be the person that comes in and change somebody's life. So that's correct. That is correct. Okay, that's it. That's it.
Transformational.
Because I don't want you to go back the same. Now if you do, that's on you, you know, but come back next week.
Hopefully this will hit you, right? So you'll be like, well, I'm trying to— I'm changing your life, you know. I'm here to change your life, change your mind, the way that you think. I'm going to bring you a new, whole new perspective. So your audience is, um, transform— people who looking for transformation, a new way. Um, look, a new, a new you, a new, a new year, you know. So this, so this is that.
Who are desiring change.
Yeah.
People who wants the change.
Okay, so those will be key things. So I would say breaking it down, like how, um, so most of your your information or your, your podcast will be for current situations that— but at the end it would tell them how to actually make the change.
Ooh, giving strategies, that's all I do. That's right.
Okay, so strategies on how to transform your life. So with that, okay, um, are you looking to have Guest speakers or mostly teaching style?
Guest speakers for sure, most definitely. There's a whole bunch of people I know I want to— even yourself. But guest speaker for sure. Guest speakers for sure. And then also, yeah, of course it'll be a lot of myself, but every now and again I will have somebody pop up.
Okay, and did you want to do video?
Video, yes. Okay, yes, yes, with video.
And when you do video, you can also take the audio at the same time, so you'll have the audio and you'll have the video if you do it that way.
Um, I can put that on a different platform if I need to, correct?
Right, correct.
Got you.
So if you start with YouTube, you can, um, get to have a lot of different things. Like you could just do the recording live, um, in private and still capture it. And that's why I want to know more of which way, because you can, you can do multiple streaming apps on every platform at one time, um, but you also have the capability of Recording and then streaming. Then, so that, that goes into, um, based off of your audience, um, if you're having a call to action, what would be the next one? Is it to, um, listen? Are you looking to monetize off your product, off your podcast eventually?
I, I, you think I— I mean, is that something that people start off with, you know, or Or they just ease into it?
I would say, you can ease into it, but at the level I, I mean, I would say go big.
Go big.
Go big. But it's just basically off of the way that how you want to house your, your podcast. If you wanted to house it to where, um, whenever they want to use it, then you're going into more of a mastermind Um, course, um, where you're setting up courses and modules so that they can— so then you're building a group, you're building a following, you're, you know, it's transformational, but it's, I'm with you for a long— I'm not, I'm not gonna leave you, you know what I'm saying?
Right.
So that's where it comes as far as monetizing, um, with podcasts is because once you feed them, just like, um, they're gonna come back. Okay, so That's, that's, that should be one part of the goals as far as once you, you, you know, start the podcast is that you want them to come back, um, because it's going— this is a journey, especially when you talk about, uh, transformational coaching. It's, it's going to be a long— and then you also, um, keep in mind eventually you're going to probably need, you know, a team and start building up a team as you grow, um, but we're going to do it in a big way, in a new way.
Mm-hmm.
Um, so, um, let me see as far as the other. So that's where it comes as far as streaming. I would say, um, based off of the calendar, what we have to set up is a content schedule. So how you're going— how we're going to redo the recording, where we're going to do a recording, um, if you need an intro, outro. Um, all that information will— that's where our communication will come in. Um, I may just, hey, do you have, um, this, or do you have that, what we need? And then, well, that's where we'll have to either outsource or become creative and create.
Um, I'm with it.
OBS is what I use mostly to create. Um, a lot of my different content. Um, you could use, uh, Canva as far as intros. Um, you can use Vimeo. It's a lot of different apps out here, um, to get whatever you need. Um, and then at least one main banner as far as This is the COVID for— well, so when it comes down to promoting and things of that sort, this will be the COVID to it all.
Okay.
So I would definitely say come up with a date that is— the biggest date is going to be the recording date.
Okay.
So that will be the first date to set. Because then from there we'll work backwards and say, based off of the recording, this is everything else that's going to be needed, um, and how many we're going to record. We can record—
you can—
we can record a lot in a day, even with, um— so that's, um, wardrobe changes, that's included. So you have to think about—
That's included. Okay, bring me a little something. Okay.
Yeah, but let's say for instance we're doing 3 different 3 or 4 different recordings in one day. Let's say we want to— you have 4 different topics, you want to just record the whole series in one day. That way, if we have to do any type of re-records, any technical issues, we have, you know, time to kind of go back. We already have everything outlined, so it's very detailed as far as everything. So That you'll get like a production schedule, um, and things in that store. Um, if you have like, uh, do you have an opener like as far as a script, a pre-script?
I do. I have a— it's like an intro outro.
Yeah, not necessarily. Well, it depends on your intro outro as far as into your speech or into, into the actual video. Like, so you can have an introductory, um, video or introductory song, but then you have an introductory, uh, introduction to yourself.
Yes, yes, I have one. So I need both actually. I have one for the show, like for the podcast show, but I don't have one myself.
Like, so you'd be like, oh, so that will be something that you— because then you'll say that pretty much Every single podcast. That way, when they, they know it's, you know, something inviting, it's something, um, exciting, like, hey, you're—
you—
are you ready? You know, get them excited. Make sure you have big energy.
Mm-hmm.
Um, that's going to be the biggest thing. The more excited that they are, um, the more inviting that it is. Um, and to show that you, you care as far as their outcome. and not necessarily the information that you'll be giving. And you want to share, you probably do want to overshare, because you want them to be able to take notes. Like my good mentor says, note-takers are move-makers.
Yeah.
So when it comes to that call to action, you want them to make a move, so you want them to be able to take notes or have to come back and Take notes. Um, so I would say starting with YouTube, because we'll, we'll record with YouTube, get the video, make sure the lighting quality is going to really, really matter. Um, so we have to look at it as far as equipment, a location to record. So these are the things that we'll have to— we'll be coming up together with. over the next week or so. And then also you'll have to choose like a start date. Okay, this is the damn launch date. It could be a month from now, it could be a— it could be 2 months from now. Um, you could say February 5th, I wanna, you know, go ahead and launch. And then that way we'll have at least the first, um, part of the calendar down in the month to say this is what we need, this is I have to break every single thing down and fill up, fill it, basically fill up the calendar from there.
I like, I like February 5th.
You like February 5th? Okay, I got it.
I like February 5th. The name of the podcast that— this first podcast, because then I have to launch the next one, um, the name of this one is called Sunday Mornings with KB.
Okay, okay, okay. So Sunday mornings, February 5th.
Yep, February 5th is a Sunday.
Oh, look at God! Look at God! Well, he work it out. Yes, he would.
He be working. Yes, he just working.
He be doing it. Okay, at what time?
Sunday mornings. I like ten. Ten.
That's a good.
I like. I like ten. But yeah, no, I like ten.
Okay.
I like that.
Now, what do you want to— I may have already asked, but, um, interact with like the chat?
I do. Um, I do. I want to be able to see the chat.
Okay. While you're speaking, you want to be able to see the chat? Okay, that's good, that's good. Because then you, even in the midst, you see a question, you can make it a lot more personable. Like, okay, um, hey, Sharnita in this chat, uh, from Atlanta. Or, you know, I see this question and it pops up and you feel like that urgency from God to say, answer that question because everybody is thinking the same thing.
Uh, right.
So that's why I say YouTube is more of Um, now it just depends because now when we're talking about that, um, you can do Facebook as well. I don't know, it just depends on where you're, where you're going to reach the most people. Uh, right now, what would you say would be your biggest influence?
My biggest influence right now, to be honest with you, it's on, um, it's on TikTok.
Okay, okay.
And Instagram.
Okay, okay. So, um, it sounds like we might be having— there's another application that we'll be able to use to do streaming. So we'll start with YouTube and then we can put into, um, YouTube the feed to Instagram. And I would have to check on TikTok. If not, if not on TikTok, TikTok will be the main driver. So then that means we're going—
Got you.
Going to promotion over there. That means on the content calendar, we're going to need promotion on TikTok to drive people to Sunday Mornings with Katie.
That's right. Got you.
Okay. So then, so that'll be— I'll keep that in mind as far as that's going to be one of the drivers, um, that's going to— because Since it's not necessarily a live platform, you have to— do you— have you built up the capability to do live on TikTok?
Oh yeah.
Okay, okay.
I ain't too far from it. I ain't been really consistent, uh, because, you know, it was just something I just go and just release the word on. But now, you know, the dynamics has changed. So right now I have like 35,000 likes, but like I have like 2,500 followers.
Okay.
But I can get that up. I got that up real quick. I can get it up tomorrow. So, okay.
So that's gonna be good. Um, so that, that would be the first week, um, leading up to the 5th. That's going to be pro— like, we're probably gonna have to call that promo week.
Got you.
That's gonna be where the word is gonna get spread as far as this is going out, this is going out, um, videos, um, and stuff like that. So, and then I'm excited. Now, I like when it comes to how to stream, like I said, I use OBS for my main stream, um, because you just It's live production, everything. Once you create everything, you can do live mix with steal. When I say steal, that means like, okay, you want to run a promo video at the same time.
You—
it's basically you'll have a live engineer. Now that, that'll be another thing as far as Um, going live, let's say there's issues, you, you, you will be happy, you will be talking to the engineer and the, the team as well. Um, so that's, that's if with, if it's live. If it's not live, then you have, it's just basically, you know, cut it, you know, and re-record as many, as many times, and then you do editing at the end of live. You still do editing. So whoever seen the live version is more than likely not going to get the end version because some things can be taken out, some things can be added.
So, um, that would be— I'm down to, I'm down to recording then post, or, you know, ain't that like how they do it?
They recording, then they It's just, it just depends. You could do both. Um, let's say the first one you do it live, and then you check and see how live does. Now one thing about it is you won't have to do— as far as the series, you could just do a live, get a meet. You see what I'm saying? They don't have to be part of the podcast. It could just be a live greet and meet, um, KD.
Mm-hmm.
And then that way it kind of give you a feel on the process. And, um, and then you could promote your podcast as far as this is coming up, what you guys want to hear. Tell me how you feeling, get to know people, get them excited. So then by the time you drop on the 5th, um, they'll be live and, you know, live and awake, like, okay, we've been anxiously waiting, um, to hear, you know, we got to know more about her, you know, I didn't tell my friends, now my friends actually get to come in here. And then that one don't necessarily have to be live.
Mm-hmm.
Or vice versa. The promotion could not be live and you can still interact, you know what I'm saying? Um, and, you know, act, you know, pretty much act like you're talking to people, um, and get them excited, and then do a live on the first one.
Gotcha.
So I'm with you. And then also you could do another thing is, although it's Sundays with Katie, you have to catch it live on Sundays, but that doesn't necessarily mean you only have to watch it on Sundays. So put it on YouTube. You could put it on YouTube and say, um, after, after Sundays it'll start on Wednesdays. It'll be posted on YouTube for replay on Wednesday. You can go back if you missed it. Hey, you can watch it on this day.
Yep, got you.
So that will be part of the plan as far as getting the— so We know that you'll be streaming to YouTube and Instagram. Now Instagram, you could, you can either do live or do streaming.
Got you.
Okay, it's just based off of the different type of devices, so you just may need, um, the devices. Now as far as Equipment, what would you say you're at with equipment?
Now I have microphones, um, I have an iPad, but whatever I need to get for this podcast, because you got to have a space for that too.
Now that was— now that was something as far as I was going to start checking into it and seeing if there was a, you know, a place to do the recording, and that way we have like a set place to do recording. Um, I have—
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
But it is more of like your look. How do you want to have the, the atmosphere? So it's, it's the atmosphere and environment really is going to be like the key.
Um, Yeah.
If you want them to be focused, it's going to be more of a single direct type. If you want it to feel more like, okay, Sunday mornings in your living room while you— it's not necessarily a church feel or any type of conference type of thing. type feel. It's just more of a sit back, relax type approach. So it would just depend on how you're, how you're going to approach. You want the approach to match the environment.
Got you. So, got you. Okay.
That's part of the planning and strategy. Like, we're, we're going to be filling up the calendar a lot because if we have to have conversations Um, let's say for instance, um, finding a spot, um, to do the recording. We're gonna probably, you know, have to collab in different areas, um, on that, um, as far as production team. Because like I said, quality matters. You can only go as far as your team. If you want good quality, we're gonna have to find some good quality, um, team members, uh, that's willing to, uh, put in or, you know, help let us utilize the equipment. If not, then it's time to build. There's only—
Amen.
You know, it's either building the team or building the dream, or making the team build it. You know, teamwork makes the dream work.
Yeah.
So, you know, yeah, it will— we'll be building it up as we go. Um, I mean, because I, I do have different avenues, it's just basically on Um, where you're at with as far as level of connections and contracts and things of that sort. Um, are you looking to more of partner? Are you open to partnerships, sponsorships?
I am to both.
Okay. You know, I like to go big. I am to both. Okay, so it's— so it's now it's growing and, um, growing in these connections and building up, uh, relationships with, um, not just your followings but, um, your team, because you want people to believe in you as well. Um, people do what— based off of the people, so.
Right.
And they'll stay.
That's right.
So I was—
Look, I'm looking at the time. I don't want you to— I don't want you to miss your meeting.
Oh, I'm not. I'm looking at the agenda trying to make sure we have a good running start to, um, to the 5th, because once we sit—
Once we start, yeah, we set. I know I gotta start writing, like, writing down the introduction, like, to the, to the video, not just the podcast, but when the video starts filming. And then, um, I don't know if you know some videographers, but I know some people and I see if they can just come through and see what they can do, you know. But it's all good.
And I, I do know some videographers as well, so I would say since it's your, your podcast, if you have anybody that you know as far as quality, um, if not, then I'll, I'll, you know, double, you know, double-checking because quality is going to definitely matter. 'Cause there's gonna be a date where we're gonna have to set also as far as, um, they're, you know, they're, they're gonna have to be able to commit to the recording dates, also to the, um, the setup dates and, you know, the facility and the time. All that's gonna have to come together, um, which is going to be exciting. I— and I'll, I'll make sure That we, we, we will, we'll start like a checklist. So you'll definitely get probably like a checklist, um, to say like, this is what we need, this is what we need, this is what we need, and go from there. And to fill— basically, I definitely— the calendar is going to be the biggest thing to, um, fill up is going to be the calendar.
Um, okay.
And ideas, um, the topics, the scripts, um, you're going to probably have to share because as far as like the time, like are you within the time frame? Are you wanting the podcast to be 30 minutes? Are you wanting it to be an hour? Or you really just don't care?
Right.
You know, it's one of those things because that's, you know, so you could say it's from at 10 in the morning on Sundays, but it could last an hour and then you'll have a hard stop. At least you'll know you have a hard stop. Or you can say it's 30 minutes. Just based— so you'll have to come up with that based off of your script. Now if you just free in it, that's more of Just, it's free, you know. It's just come prepared, you know. You go 2 hours, you can go an hour. Um, yeah, but then there's also consistency. Uh, you want to stay consistent. So if you choose to be, um, I would, I would say choose something that's consistent.
Got you. So, so you said you writing up a checklist or something? That's what you said?
Yeah, it's a master— keep track of the, the what we need. Um, that's why I said it's another, um, book that I, uh, another part of the gift is like a book to be able to keep up with the strategy. So Um, in emails and then just the information, because once— because once we have the information we want, that's just— everything's gonna have to stay consistent, especially with the, um, February 5th being the start date. It's all in. Um, yeah. So it's, it's a true commitment to what is being said, um, the goals, the purpose, and all that. Um, It's going to be, uh, pretty much key.
Yeah, I'm with it. With it. Whenever you draw it up, send it to me if you can. I know you— we're gonna be there tomorrow, so if you bring it tomorrow or whatever, or just whenever you draw it up, you can just get a note and I can start knocking some stuff out, you know.
Yeah. Um, and are you familiar with Microsoft Teams?
A little bit. You know, I think I like it more than Zoom.
Okay. Yeah. So that would give us opportunity to— one thing I do like as far as records when it comes to information, so it could be like one set place for the information. So that's one thing I do like about Teams is not necessarily text messages, but The chat, any information we can add, we can create, so therefore you'll have different teams that will have— within Teams, you'll have teams. So let's say, for instance, there's information that the production team may need, there's information that you just may need, or just information I may need that you want to just communicate with me, you can send that just directly to me, and then it could be shared, you know, from there, and everything's housed in one single place. Okay, so we'll work— we'll primarily be using Teams. I do like the fact of notes. Um, I'm not sure if you were able to see the updated note.
Um, I did. I saw it.
Because then that way, when I— if I have anything that comes to mind, I would definitely just put it in there and we can get, you know, build upon one centralized place and it shares immediately. any ideas or anything that comes to mind, um, outside of Teams. So Teams will be more for communication, um, Notes will be primarily for informational. Um, this is where the key information, um, so we can be on the same minds, you know, have the same mindset. And this is where my mind is.
Yeah.
This is where, you know, I need to be thinking about this, need to be thinking about that. Um, and yeah, so it's open communication. I really like that. That's mostly— that's all the, the questions.
All good.
Um, on the agenda. So I guess we'll just kind of go— I will go down. We'll just do a rundown Of everything— Facebook, Instagram, um, and TikTok— as far as the main, uh, promotional environment, uh, platform to be used. Um, you do want to be— it's very interactional, but the goal is to be transformational. Um, and you haven't yet decided or will decide on whether to do a series, and if so, you'll let, let me know as far as the first, um, title, the main, um, the margin for the series. That's—
got you, got you. I'll draw that up.
Okay, so let's see, might be a kickoff to, um, Transformation. I like that, I like that. And then it'll be, um, the words. Now I see— I've seen that it's best to title it afterwards.
Okay.
That way you won't go in with this, you'll have a focus. But let's say for instance, um, transformation stuck out, but It came out to say at the end, the best thing that you said was, I need to make sure that I'm transformed, you know, or be renewed. And then it takes away from, you know, the end where you want it to be, the title to be the most inviting. So that will probably come after the actual recording.
Okay.
So that gives you a little bit of freedom.
And I get it, I got you.
February 5th.
That makes sense.
Yeah, February 5th. Yes, that's February 5th. And Thursdays, is that a good time? 6 is a good time to just meet?
Let's do it, let's do it.
I mean, if it happens, anything changes, we can always pick up. Yeah, yeah. And Then we'll have the record date. But I would say once I put together the— this domain critical list, it'll— it will go by priority, um, as far as what's high priority and what's not.
Um, okay.
And then set dates. Um, usually use the Monday app, um, to manage every single area of, um, each project. So let's say the production team, what all they need. Everybody will need, um, will have their own information, like sound check, um, video check, um, even somebody who even set up the environments, like make sure, uh, nothing is out of whack, um.
Wow.
So, and everything in place, lighting, So there'll be a lot of different checks that goes on. Um, yeah. And then like you said, you wanted to be able to see the chat. So, um, you have your own personal laptop or a tablet?
I do. I do. Okay. I mainly like really work from my iPad, but I have a, I have a laptop, but it is slow.
Okay. So that's what I'm saying. So we'll, we'll We'll make sure that that's another, you know, when I say there'll be checks, there'll be checks as far as when it comes to each, each device. It may, if it needs Wi-Fi, if it need to be connected to the landline, cuz when it comes into streaming, um, when it, you don't want a lot of, we'll, we'll add buffer, um, just, just in case. So it might be a 15-minute delay. So that's just more of his buffering. Um, So that if there's any static within the connection, that it'll still flow smoothly on the end user's end. And then, um, so they'll have their own— that'll have a check too. So it'll be like a whole, uh, full production for, for the podcast.
I'm with it. I'm down and I'm with it.
Okay.
I mean, I mean, yeah, so, um, you send that list, I can go ahead and start knocking stuff out, see what I need to do, because the 5th is right around the corner.
Yeah, yeah, it's all good.
We're gonna go big, we're gonna go big because we ain't going home.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. That's one of the things I'm like, I've been scrambling right now for, you know, everything and I'm just ready to just get back into going big. Okay, so that's gonna be it.
Let's go get it. Let's go big.
Yeah, definitely.
Let's go get it.
Um, and if you're able to find anybody, I'm open to like just pop-up meetings if we have to jump on a Zoom or jump on a, um, Teams and just kind of Do an introduction to everybody that's going to be a part, um, and also that way we can definitely keep you in the loop if there's any added additions or something like that. Okay.
But I just see it being just you and I right now until we get this thing kicked off. And then, you know, videographer, you know, these peoples, but you know. When everything's set in stone, uh, when you send that list, I'll be able to put it in the notes or whatever and let you know.
Okay, definitely. So that's going to be amazing. It's just the production part. Once the production— we can go straight into it. We can look by 15 and we can record. I know, I'm gonna definitely check in. Um, and oh yeah, and as far as the environment, what type of atmosphere. Um, I know you have like, for instance, live backgrounds. I'm not with live back— I mean, I mean, I'm not with really big backgrounds when it comes to, um, production because you want to give it more of a live feel. So yeah. You're gonna have to think about as far as what type of environment you want it to kind of be. And then that goes into more of, uh, setting up the, the, the, the background space. So that'll be a part of the creative team, um, which pretty much right now, like you said, it's just me and you, so I'm part of the creative team.
Yeah, so, and I am too.
Look, we'll find a way.
There's a will of God, there's a way.
Way, truly. And so, and, um, yeah, I really enjoyed— like, we got a little— for me, I feel like we got a lot, um, together. And I'm definitely gonna put together the list and, and basically a rundown of everything we talked about, um, so that we can go back over and see what we missed and then go from there.
Okay.
And once we have a very good overview over the calendar, um, and the ideas and the list, we can strategize from there. And once you start pouring out the content, and it's gonna, it's gonna come out so much.
Amen. You know what I'm saying?
Amen. Big and fast. Like, ah, you gonna get me start praising up in here.
Amen.
Okay, go. Yeah, so it's gonna be a big minute. So, um, and then from there, if you have, uh— so this is where a lot of— I know you're probably looking at the time, but, um, list is going to be a good thing to start building up. List of people you have in mind, list of topics. Because let's say, for instance, you have Um, you may be able to have like a panel discussion, you see what I'm saying? And then those panel— the people who come in the panel, um, that can be broken down into 4 different episodes just from there, you see what I'm saying?
Yeah.
From a panel discussion, um, because when you break, break it down, um, take an hour to 10 minutes, and then you see what I'm saying? And you have 6 different segments. So yeah, the most content, the most, the more content that you're able to, the more people will be able to come and grasp it. Um, and then you'll be able to put it on, um, as far as on TikTok, Bring It Down Broke promotions.
That's right.
That's where it's going, that's where it's going to be a big driver. Because let's say for instance, the first episode after recording, so many different promotions can come from that. Uh, pictures, um, clip-its. We're going to be breaking all that down.
Mm-hmm.
Okay, so just keep that in mind.
Right.
So I'm excited, I'm excited, and I'm— I, I do thank you for, you know, meeting with me. And I mean, honestly, just trust me with your time. That's the biggest thing. I appreciate it. I really appreciate that.
And you know what, vice versa, because time is something that I tell people all the time. I, I, when I realized that it was my currency from heaven, I don't let nobody waste my time. And if I let you waste my time, you get about 2 seconds to waste. Anything other than that, goodbye. You know, I don't know how much time I got here left, and I ain't gonna be wasting it, man. I got some stuff to do. So I think people You know, setting aside this time, you know, we can talk even if we couldn't meet in person. You know, your girl took these Tylenols, and like I said, I don't be popping pills, but the moment I did, I said, oh, we gonna have to stay at the house. I don't know what this is. Yeah, you know, but I know she want the headache to go away or whatever. But, uh, yeah, you know, I definitely appreciate this time, and I don't take it for granted.
And I, and I appreciate you even being open to virtual because when it comes down to time We don't need to have to look. We wasting time going from here to here just to meet to do what we gonna do or what we can do right here. I mean, you know what I'm saying? Like, uh, I mean, she said we can talk right here. We can talk right here and even longer if needed.
You don't understand.
That's right. So that's right.
Um, that's why I like— I don't, you know, Zoom cut you off. Zoom like you got 10 more minutes.
Yeah, that's why I went to, um Teams so we could actually, even if we did go over it, and then I think you had to— you have to pay for it and all that kind of stuff. Um, yeah, and I'm— now that's one of the things we'll talk about next time. I'll probably throw it in there, but okay, with the benefits of Zoom, um, that, that will, that will be to come. Um, I know you heard of StreamYard. I like StreamYard.
Yeah.
StreamYard will be— StreamYard will— I would say that StreamYard will be part of promotions because right now there's a lot of different promotions that's going on and I'm definitely going to want to throw you in there. Um, okay, okay. So keep in mind that StreamYard will be utilized but mostly for promotion.
I'm with it.
Okay, well, let's get it.
Let's go. That's gonna be big too. Yeah.
Okay, don't give me— you can't be saying words like that.
Okay, get it.
Let's go.
Let's go.
Certain words that just make me just go. You can't look. I'mma hold it in. Look, man, I pray God—
oh my God, I know you got to head to your great meeting. I pray God, you know, cover you and protect you as you go. You on your way there. So thank God you didn't have to leave from one place to go to another place to go to another place. Yeah. Tonight we just met on here and let God be God, and here we are.
So amen. I hear him. So I love him.
You know, I just pray. I'll say a quick prayer before we head off. Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for having us to reconvene according to your plan. God, we know that bigger is coming. We know that greater is coming. We know it's our portion too. We know that what the enemy has Cleared over us is a lie. And we know that your promises are so grand that we have yet to even grasp in our minds, because in your word, Father God, in Ephesians 3:20-21, it says, now unto him who was able to do exceeding abundantly more than we can ever actually imagine, ask for, pray for. So right now, in the name of Jesus, we just ask for you to touch this podcast, Sharnita's Productions, and everything that she does. Father God, we just ask for you to move in a mighty way to where Yes, we're thinking big, but Father God, we know that you're a bigger God. So we just thank you, Father God, for expanding our territories. Thank you, Father God, for having us to flood the internet. Father God, we just pray that we can break the internet. We pray that we can break the internet and both of us will have business clients like never before. So Father God, in the name of Jesus, we just want to say thank you. And I just want to say, Father God, the, the prayer Uh, that we have here when it comes to our money. Uh, so Father God, I'm gonna touch and agree, and I just want to say thank you for all that you're doing in our lives together and separately financially. Um, so right now, in the name of Jesus, Father God, we have tithed and we have offered like never before. So we ask that you receive our tithing and offering, whether it's our money, our time, our gifts, our treasures, our talent, as we plant good seed on good ground, on good soil, that we may claim a great reward in the farm.
Amen.
Of, but not limited to, projects and better projects, careers and better careers, multiple streams of income, income of talents and abilities, treasures and gifts. Thank you, Father God, for wealthy compensation, raises and bonuses, finding money, gifts and surprises, favorable settlements, bills paid on time, bills decreased, bills paid off, blessings and increase, checks in the mail, rebates, returns, refunds, estates and inheritances. And we thank you for property, Father God. Thank you. We thank you, God, that we will have more than enough to sow into the kingdom of God and to promote the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's what we're here for, Father God. We thank you. We love you. We need you to continue to guide us and keep us in your Son Jesus' name. Amen.
Amen. Amen. Thank you so much for that.
