Hey everyone and welcome to Quick Chat. I'm Sharnita Gates and we're here to chit-chat about 10 habitual sins that women especially struggle with. We struggle with some things and sometimes it's just to be honest with ourselves that we are struggling with certain things is big. So with the 10 habitual sins that women especially struggle with, like it's a sin sometimes to just be on our own. is a message by Shara Donahue, so we're just going to read a, a quote. Beginning a discussion about sins can often feel overwhelming, but we need to consistently, humbly invite God to search us for anything within us that is an offense to him. Once we can see it, we can fight it. So it's very important for us to Be able to see it. Like, let our vision, you know, grow. And we don't want it, you know, to perish. So the first thing is thinking we know better than God. We do not know better— anything better than God. God is our creator. I may be under the title of an innovator, but it doesn't mean that I'm a creator. There's nothing new under the sun. So I can never think— But But we sometimes, we struggle with that. There is so much pride wrapped in the moments we think we could know better than God, and such folly in living for ourselves. When all we do in life is to serve me and mine, I serve myself as the god of my own kingdom and make the mistake of believing God serves me. God loves us. He cares for us. He provides for us. And Jesus came as the servant king. But we have to give that over to God. We can't be wrapped up in so much pride thinking that we can do anything better than what God has already done for us. So in the moments of clarity, we can— we actually conceive Telling God, I see your way and it's so much— it's so much better. Or, you know, in moments of clarity, can we actually conceive telling God, I see your way, but mine is better? We would like to say no, but the truth is we do this often. We do it at work, in relationships, and even when it comes to how we approach spiritual things. If we seek to honor God We must remember what he has told us. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord. As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. That's Isaiah 55, verses 8 through 9. So our thoughts are not God's thoughts. We have to be able to let God's thoughts be Be our thoughts. So number two, delayed obedience. We struggle with delayed obedience. Sometimes it is it is wise to not overwhelm ourselves with activity, but too often that wisdom is used as an excuse for not doing what God has said. This is often because obedience to do something new means stopping stopping something we don't feel ready to stop. We are downplaying God and cheating ourselves. He will send others to do what we would not do. We just, you know, miss out on being a witness to what God can do when we trust him. So we want to make sure that we trusting. You stay, stay trusting in God. Stay trusting in God. That's why it's it's big to say I believe. So I believe. Not in me, but in God. And then we, we sometimes, we talk that we talk, we get so— we struggle with tolerance of sin. In the name of tolerance and love, women again and again are willing to call sin by other names: weakness, personal truth, just the way I am. God does not take sin lightly because it separates us from him. And that's Isaiah 59:2 says, but your iniquities have separated you from your God. Your sins have hidden your face from you so that he will not hear. That should terrify us, that permitting sin to remain also prompts God's revolution or revulsion. Yet Romans 5:8 reveals the cure. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this way. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. So I'm
