How Insurance Lead Vendors Set Up Their Ad Accounts #insuranceagents #insuranceleads

Shauna Thoresen shows how insurance lead vendors build Facebook ad accounts with dummy pages and generic landing pages to capture leads they own, not agents. Vendors control the attract and capture stages while agents get no funnel ownership. Agents can replicate the process themselves instead of funding someone else's assets.

If you've ever wondered how lead vendors have their ad accounts set up, I'm gonna show you. In fact, I'm also going to show you an alleged lead vendor page. First, let's talk about what assets you actually need in order to run Meta ads. First, you need a personal Facebook page. Then we would set up something that is called your Meta Business Manager or your Meta Business Settings. And inside of that, we would have all of your business assets. Now, Facebook sees you as the king or queen of these assets. You are able to give out keys to contractors. So the ethical way to work with a done-for-you system is you would give them a key to your assets. So they would be running ads from the things that you own. Now let's talk about how lead vendors have their assets set up. They will have their primary page that is connected to their LLC. It's gonna be the public-facing page that you see, but everyone is able to build a second business asset account immediately. Will create lots and lots of different, what I call dummy Facebook pages. I'll show you an example of one in a moment. Facebook pages connected to their own assets. Look at an example of an alleged lead vendor page. So we've got this cute little innocent page called Local Area Updates. It's got zero posts on it. Actually go though into what is called the Meta Library. This little innocent page currently has over 130 different ads that are being ran. Now sometimes this page focuses on T65 and Medicare. Right now it's primarily focusing on P&C, final expense, and there might be a couple of IULs in there. As well. Now, whenever you click on these ads, sometimes it takes you to a Meta lead form, but other times it takes you to a very simple landing page that looks like this. This is a very basic landing page. It is built in a GoHighLevel account that the lead vendor obviously owns. Your leads that you're buying are seeing these generic messages from this generic page and then this generic landing page. So not a lot of trust is built from the very beginning from the lead's perspective. Important for you to know. When you are spending money with them, you are essentially building up their assets instead of building up your own assets. And that means that whenever you build your own lead system, which has 4 different parts— attract leads, we've got to capture their information, deliver the goods, and then we've got to nurture them with follow-up— the lead vendor owns step 1 and step 2. All of your money is going here. And oftentimes when you use these done-for-you lead systems, they set it up the exact same way. Except for then they're going to use their own system to deliver the initial, either a lead magnet webinar or the follow-up for the consult. And then they're going to send the first nurture, which means that you don't own any of the 4 steps of your lead system. Lead vendors and done-for-you systems are very secretive about how they actually are generating the leads because they know that the moment that you realize what's actually happening is the moment that you realize you can do this yourself. In fact, you can do it even better.
