[Insurance Ads] How to see if your ads are only serving to the right states, ages, & demographics

Check if your Facebook insurance ads reach only your target age and states using the Reach metric and Breakdown feature. If impressions show up outside your 65+ range or licensed states, your backend targeting is misconfigured and needs fixing at the ad-set level.

If you are running Facebook ads and you are concerned that your ads are being served outside of your ideal demographic, so you're running Medicare ads and you wanna make sure it's only serving 65+, or you're only licensed in specific states, so you wanna make sure it's only serving to specific states, there's a way for you to check that. So in this account, I am in the ad set level. You wanna make sure that you can see this metric, reach. That's how many individuals your ads have been served to. Then you're gonna come over here to breakdown. You're gonna click on it and there's all sorts of things that you can select. Like right here, I can select age and then I'm able to scroll through this account and I can literally see how many results I received and how many individuals from that age demographic that they were served. Now, if you have only 64+ or a very specific age demographic and it's serving outside of that, then that means that there is a setting that is not correct in the backend of your campaign. Now at the very same time, you're able to change that from age. You can clear that and we can also choose region. And when you go through region, you are able to see that it is only the states that you have selected that your ads are being served to. Now, quick heads up, Facebook right now seems to be having a little bit of a technical issue where sometimes on some of these breakdowns it doesn't show me exactly where it came from. Like here we had 130 completed registrations for this, And I can see that 36, uh, people were served in the state of Colorado. I can scroll down and see it, 117 from Illinois and so on, but it is kind of messing up and showing me the actual results. But this will give you an actual idea of if your ads are actually staying within the parameters that you believe that you have set or not. And again, if you are seeing states that you do not want to be targeting in or ages or other demographics, Then that means that you need to make a change at the ad set. If you want to learn more about generating your own leads, then this account is for you, especially if you're an insurance agent.
