Insurance agents are told Meta lead ads take three to six months to work, but you can get qualified leads in 24-48 hours with proper setup. The myth persists because marketers want to keep you buying pre-qualified leads and controlling your account. Own your ads, nail your offer, use the right campaign structure, and you'll hit vendor-level costs within one to two weeks.

Lies insurance agents are told about lead generation and Meta ads. Lie 3, it takes a really, really long time for you to start seeing results in the Ads Manager, like 3 to 6 months long. They might even say that it takes hundreds of thousands of dollars to see results. I've had agents get their first qualified lead within 24 to 48 hours of launching ads. So why do they tell you that it's going to take so long? It's for one of 3 reasons. One, they don't know what they're talking about. 2, they want you to think it's too complicated, going to take too long, and you should just buy leads from them. Or 3, and this one is super common. Marketers want to run your ads from their ad account. In other words, the account that they own. This means that if the relationship dissolves, that you go away and they get to keep the ad account and all of the data, and you get to start over from zero. Now, yes, there is truth about ad accounts optimizing over time. It is something that compounds as you run ads longer and longer. But if you set up your ads the right way, you have a clear offer, you have specific messaging, you're using the right campaign structure, you should start seeing leads for about the same price that you're already paying lead vendors within the first 1 to 2 weeks. Then it's the fun part of letting your ads and your ad account optimize, reading the metrics and knowing exactly what little tweaks you need to make in order to keep bringing your cost per lead down. Stop letting them keep you dependent because when you own your marketing, you own your growth. Follow while I debunk more industry lies.
