Insurance Lead Ads:What Lead Vendors Don't Want You To Know [Lies Insurance Agents Are Told➞ Lie #6]

Lead vendors use gaslighting to blame agents for not converting low-quality leads, running bait-and-switch ads from hidden Facebook pages with false promises about Social Security payouts and gift cards. Bad leads can't be fixed by better sales skills, so agents should stop wasting money on them.

Lies insurance agents are told about lead generation and Meta ads. Lie number 6, and this one really pisses me off. If you can't convert the lead, then it's your fault. Lead vendors love this line. They love flipping it on you. And I literally just heard someone who sells leads say, well, what I tell the agents are they were interested in insurance until they spoke to you. That is gaslighting at its finest. That is like going to a car dealership, being sold a lemon, and once you start having problems with the engine, them saying, well, you must not know how to drive. The car was fine whenever it was here. No, I'm sorry, you were sold garbage. Of course there is a skill set to connecting, to selling, to closing. But most of the agents that I have worked with are very open to hearing coaching from others. But the truth is, many lead vendors are running misleading ads. I'm talking about giveaway ads, false scarcity, saying that Social Security is going to pay you more, or even gift card giveaways. And you know what else is shady? The way that these lead vendors purposefully keep their message and the way that they attract leads a secret from you. They purposefully run their ads on a dummy Facebook page that they try to have disconnected from their LLC so you can't actually find out who they are running them. And then they can talk about how quality their leads are and all of the different things that they're doing. Look, I've seen their ads, and let me just say, in my opinion, they're not quality. And if you're enrolled in the course Insurance Click to Close, you know that in Module 4, I actually literally show you lead vendor ads and I you how you can discover which pages are lead vendors. When you believe this lie that it is all your fault and you just need to buy more leads from them, not only does this cost you money, it costs you time because you're having to call all of these leads, but it also costs you your confidence and you deserve better than that. The truth is, if a lead was converted with a misleading message, there is no set of sales skills that is going to convert them. You can't convert someone that was bait and switched. You are not a bad closer. You're just working with garbage leads that have absolutely no idea who you are. Meanwhile, the lead vendors just keep cashing in the checks that you're paying them. Stop letting them gaslight you because you truly do deserve better. Now tell me, is this a lie that you've been told before?
