Hi there, just wanted to give you a quick introduction to me and why I do what I do, why I'm a children's happiness expert. So I'm Simon, I'm 53, I'm married to the lovely lady of my life, Lynn. We have 2 Labradors and 2 Cooney Cooney pigs. Yeah, my story. So where do I start? So my mum and dad ran a business together and I went into that business and it was— I'd always wanted to do that, I'd always wanted to go into that business from a very early age. So at the age of 8, I was trying to recruit my friend James Tinsley to work for us in our publishing business because I knew that my dad worked with people that did illustrations and cartoons and James was a really good cartoonist, so I figured that he could come and work for me when I was running the family business. So I went to university and I went into the family business and I became really immersed in that business, that business became me. So my moods were totally determined by the financial performance of the business. And I was always very worried about failure in that business. I'd never really been motivated towards success and money. Money didn't seem to have a great appeal to me. We did live a comfortable life, you know, family holidays abroad and stuff like that. And so money never really had any appeal to me, but I was, in terms of being motivated to achieve it, but I was always kind of scared about failure and failing in business. That was at the back of my mind a lot. And I got into business development as a way to try and stop me failing rather than making me succeed. And I kind of bought into all this thing, these ideas that money was going to make me happy and things like that. And then they didn't. So I went on a personal development journey and started getting into understanding happiness and things like that. And it was a long journey, started late 2007, 2008. And eventually that led me to selling the business. Tried a couple of different things, and I've been working helping kids be happy for the last 7 years now. Worked with over 1,600 kids, mainly in schools, but my direction now is more and more about working with parents and with— so mums and dads, mainly mums, to empower them with what I've learned about how to empower their children to be resilient. So bouncing back from setbacks, to be resilient in terms of bouncing, rising above bullying, so becoming what I call bully-proof, as in bullies can't upset them, building their confidence, building their self-esteem, helping them see who they truly are and see the perfection in who they truly are. And yeah, so that's me. The publishing business that I was in before was also focused on kids, so this was classroom materials. And so that's kind of where I got to where I've got to. So enjoy the YouTube channel. I hope you find it useful. And I'll see you soon. Bye-bye.
