Daymares v nightmares

Daymares are negative thoughts that feel real during the day, like nightmares while awake. They're what-ifs and worries that seem true in the moment but aren't. You're not defined by these thoughts, and recognizing them as false brings relief.

Hi, good morning to you. Good morning to you, everybody. I hope you are well this morning. Just came up with a really simple message that I wanted to jump on and share with you about nightmares and daymares. So recently I've been caught up in a lot of daymares. And so these are like nightmares, but they happen during the day, and essentially it's a load of negative thought.
So the thing about daymares and that are—
that they have in common in nightmares is when we're in them, they seem real. We don't know we've been, uh, asleep till we wake up. We don't know we've been asleep until we wake up. So they seem really real. They seem real. They are our reality. In the moment, but then we wake up and we realize that it it isn't true. That that daymare, that that daymare scenario that's been going around our our head, the what-ifing and the worrying, that I've been doing a fair bit of recently.
Isn't true. So, few—that's a relief, isn't it?
When we see that, when we see the truth, when we see that we're not wrestling with a wrestling with a lion. In a nightmare like I had the other night, or wrestling with my my social enterprise stuff. You know, my stuff with kids, which I was wrestling with yesterday. When we wake up to the fact that we're not wrestling anymore and that everything is actually okay, that's a big relief. So I just wanted to share that with you in case it helps you, and. I'm going to leave you with something that's perhaps a little bit more philosophical, um, but really hit me like a train when I heard it 2 minutes ago, is, I might have daymare thoughts, but I am not my thoughts. You might have Daymare thoughts. You might have daymares. You might have nightmares. But you are not your thoughts. Somehow that's a relief to me. I hope it's a relief to you. See you soon. Bye bye.
