The author's book ships in one week. They're anxious about the release, losing sleep over how readers will react, and asking everyone to pre-order because it signals to publishers and retailers how much the book matters.

Just one week to go until my book is dispatched to everyone. Now, this is a really, really scary time for me. It was the thing that filled me with doubt, that even delayed me writing the thing, because it's, it's huge. The anxiety level has gone through the roof. I probably won't sleep for the next week, but this is you know, all the self-doubt comes in. What people are going to think about it? Did I— have I done enough? Is it good enough? All of those voices, uh, that are just, you know, keeping me awake at night right now. Uh, what can you do? I did— I can take my own advice, I suppose, and deal with them. But I just wanted to say thank you so much from the bottom of my heart to everybody who's pre-ordered so far. Keep pre-ordering if this is the first time you've seen it. It's really important because the publishers and the retailers. That's what they go on, and it just raises its importance to them. So thank you again from the bottom of my heart. Thank you.
