Hello, hello! So I've got some really, really exciting news and I just wanted to share it with everybody here and the world because it's so, so exciting. I'm Sandra Roycroft-Davis, for anybody who doesn't know me. I am the founder of Thinking Slimmer and the SlimPod Programme. So my exciting news— well, I'm so So, it's major— this exciting news is that my clinical trial has been accepted for presentation at the British Journal of General Practice research conference. And it is— there you can see it on there— all very, very exciting. There's such a major story behind this that I just wanted to, to share it with you because there's some really deep and meaningful messages within it too. So 10 years ago, I decided that I wanted to share our, our unique and fantastic system with the world. And the, the way that I needed to do that, I felt at the time, was to get the NHS to buy into it. Now, that was a big dream at the time. That was a huge dream because I'd only just started the SlimPod program, and it was, it was this this pie-in-the-sky dream, I thought at the time. And but what I knew was that we had something unique and life-changing, and I knew that if I could just get it out to, to the masses and to, to the world, then I knew I could change lives. And I could also make such a difference to the diabetics, the type 2 diabetics of this world, because this is what the system does. So it's been an incredibly long journey, and it's been full of bumps and— oh my goodness, I can't tell you. We did the clinical trials probably about 4 or 5 years ago, but— and that's great, It was clinically proven and we had fantastic results, but the major thing needed to— that needed to happen was that it needed to get in front of the GPs and it needed to be rubber-stamped and presented at conference. And I have been on this mission now for so long, and I have needed so much resilience. And really, it's that— that's the lesson that I've learned from this, is the same kind of lesson that we have when we're going through our weight loss journey. It really is. It's— we have a goal, and We have a goal and we want to lose a certain amount of weight. And that— some people join our system and they're a size 25, 28, and they want to get down to maybe a size 14. And they just think that the task is so massive that it is a pie-in-the-sky dream. I want to tell you that it is not a pie-in-the-sky dream and it is entirely possible. And you know, if I can do this— and this is going to be me presenting at this conference in March next year— if I can do this, then you can do— you can lose weight. You can get from a size 28 to a size 14 or a size 20 to a size 10. I know people who have done it. So the first lesson that I have learned from this is resilience. I knew I wanted this so badly. I really want this so badly, and I want it for everybody out there, um, because it's I know what we can do when it is— when people are using this in— when they're pre-diabetic and when instead of dieting, you know, I just know that this is something that people need. And I also know that having it accepted and in front of a whole army of GPs, is the thing that will make the difference. It's the difference that will make the difference. So my biggest lesson here— well, 3 big lessons. One is resilience. You, whether you're on a weight loss journey or whether you are doing the thing that I am doing right now, Resilience is so, so important. It is— you're going to have knockbacks. There are going to be obstacles in your way. I've had every obstacle you can think of. It is honestly— it has been the bumpiest journey ever, to the extent where I had to actually take a break from the process about a year and a half ago because I— it was just emotionally draining. So anyway, Anyway, we carried on. And so the thing that's— the one thing is resilience. The second thing is patience. Sometimes they can merge into one another, but patience. I had to be really, really patient. I knew that I had a goal. I knew that I wanted this so badly, and when you want something so badly, You know what, you just get there, but you need to be patient because sometimes no matter how— no matter— I mean, my first— the first goal I set on this was 3 years, and it's taken so much longer, but I used it as feedback, not failure. And I'm always saying that in the community, in our SENPOD community, to use things as feedback and not failure. So no matter what obstacles life throws at you, just take it on the chin and pick yourself up and go for it again. That is the absolutely most important lesson there is. So resilience, patience, and then the third one is never, never, never give up. Honestly, never, ever, ever give up. That is the most crucial lesson of all. And honestly, I can't tell you how exciting— I mean, you can hear in my voice how exciting, how excited I am. I can't even get the words out. But I'm just so thrilled. And yeah, it's just been this long journey. And I am going to drink a glass of champagne. Tonight because I, I just can't believe this has happened. But, and it's almost like, you know, you have this dream and you can, you can almost touch it, but then you, but then you kind of, when, when it's there, you don't believe that it's actually happened. So that is what's happening to me now. So anyway, I just wanted to hop on and share, as I said, because it's all so exciting. And yeah, and I wanted to share the news with you. So I've seen Darren McLeod is on here, which is fabulous because Darren has been on this journey for a long time with me. And hi, Darren. So yeah, there's people in our community who have been on their journey for as long as I've had this, as long as SlimPod has been out here, and that's 9 years now. And I started this process then. So, but they're all doing well. We've got a huge amount of people who have never given up, and they have And they're there to tell the tale. They are— their lives have been transformed, and it's just wonderful. And I'm so excited. And that's why this is so important, because it's— I'm still— look at me, I'm still looking at it, because I still can't believe it. But this is why this is so important, because I know, I know that we can change lives. I know that we can make a big difference to the lives of diabetics, and Darren is a diabetic, and, you know, it's just so exciting. Anyway, I'm going to stop waffling because I will go on forever, and I've got to stop now. So thank you for joining me, and thank you so much. I'm going to be going on to the live chat soon at 8 o'clock in our community, so if So if there's anybody here that, that's in the SlimPod Club community, then come and join me on the live chat and we will, we'll talk about your wins because guess what my win is. So we'll talk about your wins of the week and we will talk about any obstacles that you need to get across, a problem Halved is a problem shared is a problem halved. So yeah, we'll chat then and see you then, and thanks again for watching.
