I've got a little secret. While I was writing my book, The Weight's Over—Take Back Control, I actually gained a bit of weight. The stress really got to me. I was just so nervous about what people would think about it. And stress, it triggers cortisol, which ramps up cravings and stores more fat around the middle. I'm sharing this because I'm human too. Weight does fluctuate even when you know what you're doing. I want to tell you how I took back control whilst writing a book about taking back control. I built in tiny recovery moments, just 2 minutes of calm to rest my nervous system, because life goes up and down and the key is always about being kind to yourself and compassionate. I hope that's helped anybody out there who's currently going through stress.
