Noom wants you weighing yourself constantly. Slimpod says skip the scale because the numbers trigger emotional eating. Instead, use a ribbon to mark progress or notice how your clothes fit.
Chapters
The third difference between Noom and Slimpod is that Noom asks you to step on the scales as a way of tracking your weight loss. Slimpod asks you to stay away from the scales unless you find they motivate you. For the vast majority of people though, the scales become a trigger for a bad mood and sometimes even turning to food for comfort. We believe there are plenty of other ways of tracking how you're doing that just won't trigger emotions. You can track progress by using a ribbon and marking how much it's overlapping. You can also measure progress by how your clothes feel and how they're fitting. This is the best and most rewarding way because you can't wear the scales.
