Well, hello! So tonight I'm sharing some top tips to win your weight loss battle or journey, whichever it is, and stop self-sabotage and fears in their tracks. And come and join me, I'd love to see you. So, are you struggling to stay on top of your good habits right now? I don't even know whether the good habits actually started because we've had a really strange January, and normally everybody's on top top of their game and they've got the 'new year, new me' going on, but if you're not, it is totally and utterly understandable. This virus stuff has just been going on for nearly a year and, you know, at the present lockdown, for me, feels like it's just the hardest one of all and it's tough and so, you know, for many people just one of the real casualties of this is self-care, looking after ourselves. And you know what, weight loss is about self-care, it's about eating healthy food consistently, you know, and sometimes that goes out the window if we are stressed up to the eyeballs like so many of us are, and homeschooling, and you know, and just lonely or bored and not seeing people and working every hour God sent. And so the balance has gone in our lives, and it's so demotivating because we feel like we're standing still or even going backwards. And then the mind starts playing tricks on us, and when that happens, it triggers all sorts of fears and limiting beliefs about food and being out of control and crazy thoughts about failure, and you know what, self-doubt creeps in again. Self-doubt is literally, uh, one of the hardest things to conquer, but it doesn't need to be. And here's the thing, fears— if fears are really stopping you right now, then you have a choice. You can cave into the fear, or you can be strong and get past it. Because some of the greatest battles are between fear and freedom, and I want your battle to be for freedom and get fear out of the way. Because how many times do you run away from something uncomfortable rather than looking past it for the possibilities? That's what we need to do with our weight as well. People think that, that, you know, relationship with food is something that is separate for other things going on in their lives, but it really isn't. It's all part and parcel of life. When you— and, and your relationship with food is the same thing, and it gets hijacked in the same way, because when you're stressed, you trigger the fight-or-flight mechanism that goes on in your brain, and fear also is that thing. So If you've got a fear of failure, for example, that is— that triggers your fight or flight because you just run away. And honestly, it's really, really important for you to understand this stuff because the next time that you're confronted with fear, I want you to stay strong. Because what's the worst that can happen? Honestly, it's not like jumping off the edge of a cliff. Even though sometimes it might feel like that, but it really isn't. It, you know, what's the worst that can happen if you confront your fears about, um, about fear of failure? Because it— you're not going to fail. You're going to do the opposite. You are going to go towards it rather than run away from it. Really important. Um, and so it all comes down to one moment, and that is when you interrupt the fear and you activate your freedom. And that is when you choose to think differently. And yes, it's about choice. It's all about choice. We all have a choice, but, and we don't have to be held hostage to our own mind. We can make decisions and choices that will take us forward to believing and trusting new things, and ultimately believe and trust in yourself, because that's really what it's all about. So don't let fear win, and if that is rearing its ugly head, then please just bash through. You need to take care of you in all of this. That is what's so important here. You need to take care of you, and that is what is literally going out the window right now. All our self-care is just going out the window. We aren't— we haven't got any time to think about us. And then fear of failure creeps in and fear of all sorts, you know, fear. Then, then we go in this vicious circle of berating ourselves because we've just done it again, or we're no good, or, you know, we're useless because we haven't done it, and all of this stuff. Always, always. So it is honestly a vicious circle, and it's your mind playing games on you. My tips: 1, be realistic with what you want to achieve. I see all the time in our SlimPod community how people just set these unrealistic goals, and please Right now, be really realistic. Be realistic. It is so important. Just go for really small things. Don't set yourself up for failure because that's then where this all comes from. People actually have a fear of setting goals because I know a lot of people do because they've then created anxiety for themselves when they have reached the, reached kind of when they set the goal and they didn't achieve a goal. Well, that is no reason to stop, it's just a reason to learn and carry on and it's never failure, it's just feedback. So, number 1 is set realistic goals. Don't set yourself up for failure by setting unrealistic goals. Take one day at a time, especially right now. One day at a time, really, really important. Set small tasks that you can achieve in the day. Really important. I'm always going on about it in, in to my community about winning the day and then get to the end of the day and say, 'Yeah, I won the day!' And honestly, that is what's so important because it gives you your buzz and it makes you feel good because you've achieved something. And that is what we're all lacking at the moment. We're just going from one day to the next to the next to the next without feeling that we're actually, you know, like it's Groundhog Day and we're not achieving it, that we're not achieving a huge amount at all. So get— just set some small tasks. It brilliant for your mental health, really, really good for your mental health, and, um, and if you set the small tasks, then you can achieve those. Just make sure you do. And another tip is get it done by 1, right? Done by 1, 1 o'clock. So if you've set a goal for doing some exercise or going and having a walk or, um, or maybe preparing food for the rest of the day, I don't know, you know, whatever you're doing, then get it done by 1. It's magic, honestly, it is magic, because then if you get it done in a short space of time, seriously, it's brilliant. You just literally have, have it done, and then you're so proud of yourself. And that might sound really simplistic, and it's not meant to be, but honestly, the whole thing is quite simple. Habit change can actually be quite simple. And if you're part of SlimPod Club, then we're running some great motivational challenges and there's going to be one starting next Monday. And so don't underestimate the power of the community, really, really don't, because when you get other people, you know, doing things with you, it's amazing and you get so motivated. And then that is, you know, there you go. Success at the moment is all about winning the day. It really is. It's all about winning the day you're in, because that's what's going to give you the, the biggest buzz of all time. Um, and there we go. On that note, I'm going to leave you to have your dinner, or have my dinner. I've got a few bits to go— I've got, I've got a few things to do. I've got to go and do SlimPod. I do a live chat in SlimPod Club on a, on Facebook on a, on a Wednesday evening. Um, and, uh, and so I've got to go and do that as well. But I hope you've, um, I hope you've got something from this this evening. And, um, I am here if you ever want to ask me anything. Just send me a DM or anything you need to, uh, because it's, um, it's just— I just really want to get people through this difficult time. I, I know it's been going on for nearly a year now, um, but, uh, I— yeah, I just want to help people to get through it and to, um, to just keep on track, really, and, and keep, keep everything going, because that's what we have to do— put one foot in front of the other and win the day. Okay, take care.
