Charlotte Roycroft-Davis offers four strategies for navigating food anxiety during Easter: give yourself permission to enjoy treats as neutral rather than forbidden, set gentle boundaries without justification, ditch all-or-nothing thinking about single meals, and focus on people and experiences instead of the plate.

This time of year I see so many people in our private group asking, "How will I get through Easter?" Here are 4 things that will really help. Number 1: give yourself permission to enjoy it. Enjoy chocolate, it's not the enemy. When it's not forbidden, it stops shouting at you. Believe me, I know. Number 2: set gentle boundaries. A simple "I'm saving mine for later" is enough. You don't owe anyone an explanation. And number 3: drop all the all-or-nothing thinking. One egg or roast won't undo your progress. It's what you do most of the time that counts. Number 4, shift your focus from food. Easter memories aren't made from what's on your plate. It's made from who's around you and the fun you're going to have. And believe me, I know you've got this. So have a lovely time.
