In this YouTube video, Elle McGhee reflects on the common perception that her work is limited to constructing physical houses, and expands the conversation to the broader, more personal and creative aspects of what she builds in life. A brief exchange features a speaker asking, “So you’re an artist? … Are you good at it?” which underscores the theme that building homes is also an artistic, expressive act. Throughout the video, McGhee discusses how the act of building intertwines with identity, creativity, and purpose, challenging viewers to see construction as a metaphor for personal growth and community creation.
