Sol Brah shows how to ground yourself while sleeping using copper wire and a stainless-steel hook buried outside your bedroom. The setup costs under $10 and works by letting Earth's electric field flow through the wire into your foot. He walks through digging the hole, burying the hook, wrapping the wire, and looping it around your foot without cutting off circulation.

I'm going to show you how to ground yourself to the earth while you're sleeping, all for under $10. Here's how. Firstly, head to your local hardware store and grab copper wire as well as a stainless steel hook. So how does this work? Well, the premise here is to take this stainless steel hook, plunge it into the ground outside near your bedroom. Then you take the copper wire You wrap it around the hook that's plugged into the ground and the earthing, and then attach the other side of the copper wire to your leg in bed. Now this works because both of these materials are electrically conductive, so the earth's electric field is going to travel up here through the coil and attach to your foot in bed. Make sure to wrap the copper wire securely and tightly many times around the hook. Then find some earth, dig a hole, add some water to increase the conductivity and ease of which to put the hook into the ground as I'm doing here. Cover it up again, make sure it's nice and secure in there. Copper wire is connected. If you need to extend it like I do here because your bedroom is far away from the ground, simply get another copper wire and wrap them together as shown. Now we have more to work with. I've got to go up a story, so I'm throwing it. Boom! Bullseye! Upstairs near the bedroom now. You can see the hook is still firmly in the ground. I'm going to expand this. Bring the wire into your bed and wrap it around your foot. Not too tight, you don't want to cut off circulation. Just create a nice little loop that connects to your leg as shown while you're resting in bed. Boom, there you go. I'm ready for sleep, nice and grounded.
