The World is Changing (And What To Do About It)

Sol Brah clears a forest plot and builds a shelter while arguing that ditching phones sharpens intuition and prepares you for coming upheaval. He links unplugging to spiritual clarity, minimalism, and self-reliance, using the work as proof that analog living rewires how you think.

This is a bit slippery. These shoes are not good. Okay, so came down to this area of the forest. I was intrigued by the tree trunk, and I was thinking about the bed, and I was thinking about this whole area. So I've been renovating. Clearing out all the dead brush and stuff that's on the floor here, and we kind of had this half amphitheater kind of shape, a pondering rock to sit on. I've started to make somewhat of a perimeter wall around here with brush and dead branches, and then there's already like a little natural wall there, but I think the majority of the area just to clear up here you know, I can block this side off with debris and can film or do whatever, just hang out. She's got a long way to go. Also, I found myself a club, which has been helpful tool. Feels good, feels right having a weapon in hand. I can actually fit up here. I wanted to talk about a couple of things because lately I've been having the urge to go completely with no technology. And I have the camera here, yes, but I don't count that. And also it's documenting and things, but no phone, that's the important one. Obviously no computer because you're out here. And I did that today and the clarity of information coming in instantly increased. Instantly mood changed for the better. I mean, you all know it, go out in nature and yes. However, I had the feeling to share with everyone that it's going to be even more important for the next however many years, future times, let's say, it's going to be even more important now to completely unplug from that world. More important now than ever. Because what I was kind of thinking about is that when you're plugged into that phone matrix kind of thing, your attention is on that and it's reacting to things. You're never the peaceful empty mind in which God can contact you. And it's going to be so important because the world's going to get crazier. Literally, the world is going to change so much. And if you want to be able to navigate that properly, let's just say like I've studied a lot of esoteric stuff, listen to a lot of different people, as well as astrologically, everything is pointing towards great shifts, utmost shifts, world-changing. And in order to navigate that, you have to be able to tap into your intuition, and you cannot hear your intuition you can't forecast your next moves being given divine guidance if you're always on the phone. I know it's not groundbreaking, it's really not, but it, it came across me to reinforce because I was swept up in it. I know these things, and you know, my work is on my phone, so that contributes, but otherwise I wasn't carving out enough time to be completely tech-free and with the tumultuous nature of the future. You know, 30 years ago up until now, you could get away with it. But I'm saying now, I just have a really interesting feeling that it's going to be even more important. So, you know, take my advice. If nothing happens, which I hope not, then all you have is spent more time outside, which is amazing anyway. First time I've bled in a while. From slipping. You don't get that in the office, at home on the couch, do you? And it's good for you, it's good for your body to experience these things. But what I was gonna say, I'm a very peaceful person, I'm a very content person, and there was something about this activity of no stimulus, no technology, maneuvering around this natural environment to produce something. I'm cleaning up the dead, I'm creating a little fence, whatever chair, rock scenario happens, you're shaping your environment and having a lasting effect on it. And we don't really get that in today's world. Okay, you're typing on a computer, it doesn't feel the same. It doesn't feel the same. And as silly as this little little experiment is here in the woods, it feels different. You know, you're— this is— okay, you were dropped in the middle of the forest, what would you do? You get— hopefully you're with some friends and you would all get together and you're like, okay, we need a shelter of some kind. You'd start rearranging sticks. This is what our ancestors did when they were displaced place to place or when they first got into a new land. This is how our cities begin, you know. So it's a very encoded experience into the human experience. And it's been a lot of fun, even the, the hour that I've been here, and that's all. So highly recommend doing this, and I'll show you a bit more of the forest as we go around. I figured I would vlog this as best as I can. Didn't bring the tripod or anything with me this time because I was going hands-free. However, I think that there's a very interesting vein to be tapped here, to be mined. So another thing that I did was to bring paper and a pen, and I've written down some thoughts because either I want to write about them later or they were just important notes that you get. And then you don't need your phone or anything. Old school technology, huh? I've been having this feeling to sleep outside as well. That's what initially drew me to this, this, these dead trees here, to try to make a hammock of sorts. So it's quite uneven right now, but even I could get some sort of fabric, I could create something, and then I can sleep out here, you know. I mean, you can sleep anywhere out here, but make it a little bit comfier. Could be cool. Let's try to make a bed like that way. It wouldn't need too much more, honestly. And then like a big canvas or tarp and some rope, and you'd be good. Also just been thinking about how the things that we own own us. The less you have, the less junk, the more free you are. And While you may not think that's right, just think about how it feels to have a clean, empty room compared to one that's just jumbled up with stuff. Even if you have no conscious interpretation of it, your subconscious is cluttered up, and that is a sensation that you can feel, and you don't notice until you clear it out. Same with cleaning dirt and dust and everything else. There's a resonant energy, and when that's all gone, it's pure, it's empty, it's open. And everything that you own is either something you got to worry about or something that your mind checks on. You don't have to worry about things, but you think, oh, should I do my car? Everything like that where it's an extra thing to think about. If you just get rid of those, then you have a much clearer experience of just your mental thoughts, uh, day to day. And that's true of getting rid of most things. It also proves that you are not reliant on the incredible amount of comforts in this world that we have available today, and it shows that you can practice some level of asceticism, which is just being content with this and not needing all this external gimme gimme gimme in order to just be, which is a very valuable concept as well. Well, this is not private property. Must be a really old sign. I know we're in a national park, so hello. Beautiful vines up there. Big trees falling down. But check this out. So you may have heard about how you can tell how old a tree is by counting the rings that you can see. However, they've shown that sometimes trees can get 2 rings in 1 year if there's particularly 2 wet seasons, so kind of disproves that aspect of dating trees somewhat. So what do I mean when I say the world's going to change? At the very least, I would say that large countries we're used to just being stable and normal will not be normal or stable. Wars for sure, civil, possibly world. And my jimmies are a bit rustled in the sense that I think some areas might get a big tidal wave or an earthquake. It happens, and I've just got a feeling about it, so you know, a lot can change. That's all I'm saying. You got to be malleable, you got to flow like water. And as I said before, you got to get off that phone so that you can get the divine downloads that are going to protect you and get you to where you need to go. I have no fear. Let me reiterate that. I have no fear because I know that God will direct me to where I need to go. I have no fear of death. I know my death is planned. It's already been written, so it's gonna happen when it's gonna happen. Why be scared of it? Doesn't make any sense to me. I know that my divine destiny will unfold, and that's all there is to it. Gives you a freedom once you really internalize that, and once you feel intuition guiding you towards that. What I'm about to say is a parody theory that I do not actually believe, but hypothetically, if I were to play the role of someone who thought about cancer in a different way than the mainstream, this is what I might say. Cancer is your body's lack of an ability to discard dead cells and toxic cells. Usually the body is processing toxins, removing things, and otherwise repairing itself so that these cancers don't form. Your body places toxicity or waste material in the best places that it can, hopefully outside of the body. Sometimes the body's so overwhelmed it can't do that. So it forms these pockets of cell material to trash can, just put the stuff there. That's essentially what cancer is. Again, in this theory that I don't actually believe, okay? In that case, you have to look at toxicity instead of this random chance of mutation which creates a cancer, and then the cancer is something that you have to fight. Cancer is something that you need to prevent and lessen the severity of when, if you may have one. It is not something that requires toxic treatments to kill. Your body knows what it's doing in every single case. May be overwhelmed, it may be toxic, it may be underfed, it may have poor nutrition, it may just be so frazzled by EMF it doesn't know what to do, but it's always doing its best as what it can under the circumstances that it is. So my point being, guess who gets paid every time a diagnosis of cancer occurs? Therefore, there is a financial incentive for them to diagnose you, and then even more financial incentive for them to diagnose you, give you medications which some would argue don't help. So that's all I'll say about this on here. Again, this was the character, crazy conspiracy theory, uh, actor that was playing a character. I don't believe that, and that's not medical advice. But what a crazy guy, you know, to think all that stuff. I don't believe it at all. I'm just a guy in a forest, what do I know, huh? Okay, we are losing daylight and we're under some tree cover now, so I don't know how much more you'll be able to see. I'm not sure if you can really see, but There's a cloud layer below me, below in the valley, and I'm above that cloud layer, and it looks like this sea with the trees poking above, but it's actually mist. That's so cool. That is all cloud. All right, we are really in the twilight now, so I'll close out the first forest vlog. I hope that you enjoyed. I enjoyed making it a lot, truly, and I hope that you learned something or I gave you something to think about, because that is a success if you can go away with a new bit of knowledge or something else to bring you clarity and perspective in life. That's why I make these videos, and I really appreciate you watching them. See you in the next forest vlog. I know you guys can't really see anything, but as I'm walking at night, the light has gone away. There's a very interesting feeling that your body gets, an awareness. It's like now things are a little bit spookier, these are a little bit more on the line. When you're at night. And I even feel like I should be more quiet. Hah! Made it!
