Sol Brah argues that plain water doesn't hydrate you because it leaches minerals and electrolytes from your body. He claims tap water's chlorine and fluoride are harmful, and recommends spring water with added electrolytes or "living structured liquids" like raw milk and coconut water instead.

Everything we were told about hydration is wrong. We were told, drink 8 glasses of water a day. We weren't told what type of water to drink or why. Then they added chlorine, a known carcinogen, and fluoride, a known neurotoxin, to our tap water. Plain water acts as a solvent, which means it's going to dissolve things. If you're drinking empty water, you're going to strip your body of the minerals and electrolytes that it needs to stay hydrated and electrically conductive. So what do we drink instead? Well, start off with spring water and then add high-quality electrolytes or trace minerals in order to restore the charge. Even better, hydrate with living structured liquids such as fresh fruit juices, raw milk, or coconut water. Drink all of your liquids at room temperature for optimal absorption and thus hydration. Water also carries a resonant energy of everything that it comes in contact with, which can either harm or help our health. Living water, fresh spring water that has been harvested recently, will imbue you with the energy of the earth. Stale tap water that's been sitting in a dead tank for who knows how long is not going to be good. If you're in the gym chugging liters of plastic bottled tap water, you're likely doing more harm than good, and you're not hydrating optimally. Hydration is not about how much water you drink. It's about what that water is bringing into your body in terms of minerals and electrolytes.
