A founder needs two things to build efficiently: knowing where you are now and knowing exactly where you're going. Without a destination, you wander. With one, you navigate like GPS, taking the fastest route and avoiding detours.

It sounds like as a startup founder, like if you can see the end from the beginning, then you just build better along the way. Yeah, for sure. I mean, anybody that's done a startup or done anything in life really, if you understand where you're going, you're going to get there faster, right? Like as an example, if you said, hey Greg, come over to my house, you know, let's have a coffee. And I say, okay, I'm on my way, but I don't have the address. I'm gonna drive around forever and never get to my destination. Now, if you think about a business as a GPS, a GPS tells you where you're going, how long it's gonna take, turn-by-turn directions. If there's traffic, it gives you a detour, so on and so forth. So you understand where you're going and the steps to get there, right? It's entirely different if you don't have that, right? So if you think about 2 things you need to know in building a business, where you are and where you're going, it certainly helps to understand where you're going in advance.
