Comparing a $1M jet to a $50M jet.

Steve breaks down what $49 million buys you in a jet: same fuselage as a budget 737, but VIP interiors, upgraded engines, and extra fuel tanks that stretch range from a few thousand miles to 6,000. A new VIP-configured 737 hits $130 million.

Hey Steve, what's the difference between a $1 million jet and a $50 million jet? Besides for $49 million, come over here, I'll show you the difference. Contrary to popular belief, size does not matter. Wait, really? If you look at the Boeing 737, like this airplane right here, besides for the winglets on the airplane, the original version of this airplane is probably not worth more than a couple million dollars. Brand new one in a VIP configuration is $130 million. It's the same airplane from the outside, but it's not nearly the same airplane on the inside or on the engines. But perceptually, it's the same exact size. Apart from size, Are there any other differences? Yeah, of course. Range for a million-dollar airplane are the old, old 737s, probably go a couple thousand miles. But the newer ones, when you put in a VIP configuration, the extra tanks, you get 6,000 miles. And now that's going to cost you over $100 million. So it's a big, big difference. But the size, it's the same. To be honest, Steve, I don't quite have $50 million, but can you get me a jet for a million? If you want to park it at the airport and make a restaurant out of it, I could probably do that. Thanks, Steve. Pleasure doing business with you.
