A billionaire in Indian currency shares advice for young salespeople entering the business world. The conversation covers key challenges facing global sales markets and how newcomers can navigate them early in their careers.
Are you a billionaire already?
In Indian currency.
What do you think are the key challenges in the global sales market in today's and how should I overcome them at the start of my journey to become a businessman?
Find the company that you want, that dream about working for, and then go get a job in there at the lowest level you can just to get in the door. You'll meet whoever's working in that company and sooner or later you're going to find the right person to talk to and they'll probably give you a job in their department. There's so much information available on YouTube and all these different platforms that can educate you far more than just the books in the school. And I think you should try to hear about different people who are in the industry you want to be in, people you look up to that you'd like to work for. Watch and listen as much as you can from these kind of people, just to get the buzzwords, what kind of things they look at. They will tell you a lot, the hurdles that they look for when they're going into any kind of investments. The best way before you get the formal education is to do it on your own. Every time you're in a car or in a bus or at home, you put your headphones on and you listen. If you want to really learn something, you gotta just dive in it. Forget about going out with your friends, you really focus on it so strongly.
