How to buy a $12,000,000 private jet 👀🛩️

A client with a $12 million budget wants a private jet that seats 12 and reaches Singapore. Steve, an advisor, explains a Gulfstream G550 could make it there but needs a stop on the way back due to headwinds. Stretching to $15 million opens up better options.
Hey Steve, I really need some help.
What can I help you with?
My family's giving me an important task to find a jet.
Of course, why don't you come over here and we'll have a seat and we'll go through the whole list and see if I can help you out. So let me ask you basic questions. You have a budget?
Yeah, it's only $12 million.
Well, $12 million is not only, okay, you can get a pretty decent airplane for $12 million, but it really depends how many people you want to carry and how far you have to go.
I'd say I want to carry about 12 people. Furthest I'd go is probably Singapore. I've got a lot of family back there.
Well, Singapore is really on the edge. It's a long distance, and you might be able to get like a G550 that can make it there. But coming back, because of the winds, you might have to make a stop. Let me just show you an example of what that airplane is I'm talking about.
Okay, sure.
This is the inside of a G550. From London, the airplane can make it to Singapore with a 50-knot wind. The winds generally are going from east to west, so the wind is pushing you that way. So when you're going towards Singapore, you're going to make it. But when you turn around and you come back the other way, the wind is in your face. You can make it there, but you can't make it back. Oh, okay.
Now Now that you've shown it to me on the screen, it makes sense, but I'm going to have to speak to my family and see if we can stretch it to $15 million.
No problem. I'm going to put together a little presentation for you. I'll send it to you by email, and you can sit there with your family and you can go over this whole explanation.
Thank you so much, Steve.
