Steve Varsano negotiates with a seller who wants $27 million for a 2013 jet, but the market values it at $23-24 million. The aircraft has 4,000 flight hours and a 650-style interior. Varsano proposes using his firm's client base to find the right buyer at a realistic price.
People think that it's worth from $23 to $24 million. I think I'm looking at $27 million, and if you think $27 million is too pricey, that's a problem.
Well, then there is a problem. We're selling it now for— I'm selling it for— so it's 5 years newer than yours. You'll never get $27 for your airplane. Thinking of selling that, or are you going to keep it for a little while with the 700?
If I get a good buyer, I will sell it. Otherwise, I want to keep it.
We sell probably more 550s, 650s than anybody else in the world. So we have actually 3 of them. The one's a 2008, one's a 2018, and one's a 2011. If you'd be willing to give us a mandate, we can market that airplane without marketing it. Just when we're talking to the clients of our other airplanes, ask them if they'd be interested in your airplane.
Mine has been only been used 4,000 hours, 2013 vintage. It has a 650 interior, always been hangared except
