You can't script a process walkthrough because questions and real-time interaction constantly change direction. A rigid slide deck only works if nobody asks anything. The presenter has to follow where the conversation goes, not the plan.
Chapters
You're starting to listen to somebody, and depending on what they say, you start going in that direction. Like the old days, you have this PowerPoint software and you just go from page 1 to page 2, page 3, and that's great if they don't ask any questions. But you know, usually you get to page 2 and they say, "Well, what about this?" and "I can't tell you about that, I gotta go to page 3, page 4." And now you go on the internet and you start reading a story about something, and then you get halfway through the paragraph and you see a link, and you click it and you go somewhere else, and then you're reading in there and it gives you another link, and you forgot even what you started out, but you're getting deeper and deeper into something that you're trying to learn about. That's like talking to people. You're always talking talking to me, getting into a link, when you hear something else and you go off somewhere else and you go off somewhere else. So you never can plan how you're going to take somebody through a process because you throw it out the window the second the person opens their mouth.
