One of the reasons why I started The Jet Business.

In this segment, Steve Varsano recounts his pre‑entrepreneurial career on Capitol Hill, where he worked as a lobbyist for a trade organization representing an airplane manufacturer. He explains that the role involved preventing harmful legislation and promoting favorable laws for the aviation industry. However, he found the work unsatisfying because the legislative process was opaque—he could not tell whether his personal efforts directly contributed to outcomes, leaving him without any sense of personal gratification. This lack of tangible impact and personal fulfillment motivated him to leave lobbying and eventually launch The Jet Business, a venture where he could see the direct results of his actions.
