Steve Varsano evaluates a Gulfstream G5 for a seller who also owns a G650. He asks about purchase date, original price, engine status, galley location, airframe hours, and recent inspections to provide a market valuation with no sales commitment.
When did you buy the airplane?
5 years ago. It's a critical question when you say 5 years ago, because if it was right when COVID started and the prices dropped, that's great. If you did it a year after in 2021, the prices probably got higher. You remember what you paid for the airplane?
I don't think— there have been so many purchases between then and now. It probably was like $7.
Okay. And it's got— it has engine programs? Forward galley or rear galley? Rear galley. Not as good as forward, but okay. If you have a spec sheet with current hours and maintenance, as far as maintenance schedule, when the last big inspection was done, or when the next one's due. We probably have an old spec sheet in our file, but maybe if you have a current one, that would be great that we could update our system, get to you with a rough valuation what the airplane's worth in today's market.
Fantastic.
You guys have a bunch of other airplanes?
We just have two. The one that I'm currently in love with, uh, the G650, and then the G5.
All right, fantastic. We'll just give you evaluation, obviously no commitment or whatever, just we're happy to do that for you. Fantastic. We'll get you the information.
Sounds That's good, sir. Have a great day. Thank you so much for your time.
