A broker explains why a client wants jets from 2019 or older and how off-market listings differ from public ones. He sources Gulfstreams and Bombardiers through LinkedIn and other channels, and the real advantage is access to aircraft before they hit the open market.
I was looking for 2019 and older, and I just found this 2017, and I was just wondering if it was off market.
I'm just curious, why is that a requirement? Just so he didn't find it somewhere else?
My job is to find what he was asking for.
So LinkedIn, just like you saw it on LinkedIn, it's on our different social media platforms because it is for sale, and that's how we sell our airplanes. Are you an aircraft broker? Are you just like a friend of his or this client, or what's your position? I'm broker. You usually deal in these kind of airplanes?
Yeah, Gulfstreams, Bombardiers, anything that's either off market or on market. I have a client that's actually looking for, either 2019 or older.
Listen, people always are talking about this off-market stuff, but I just don't understand. The actual buyer doesn't care. They want to buy an airplane that meets their requirements. People want to do an off-market because they want to say they found something nobody else knows about and that price isn't out there. But when we're trying to market an airplane for sale, we do share a responsibility to the client not to be marketing that airplane as strong as we can to find the buyer. True. If that's okay, come back to us. We're happy to provide you with some information and we can go from there. Okay. Thank you. Have a good day.
