This is what NOT to watch on social media.

Steve Varsano breaks down an influencer's false claims about buying a $4 million private jet. The jet model doesn't exist, the deposit is way too low, and delivery takes 2.5 years, not days. He shows how social media spreads garbage about expensive purchases.

This is really what not to watch on social media. Let me break it down for you.
Here's what spending $4 million in one day looks like. I've been planning on buying a private jet after closing our Series B round.
This guy is really ridiculous. I mean, is what spending $4 million in one day means? I don't know what that means because the jets he's talking about are a lot more than that, and he didn't close a series. He doesn't even know what a Series B round is.
A little backstory, I started this aircraft detailing business just over a year ago and have done $10.4 million in 2 weeks ago, it was 8 months and $4 million. The money is okay, but I'm definitely not looking forward to doing those taxes. My accountant meant—
I don't understand this guy. Not looking forward to doing the taxes. This guy is really— I don't know.
To write off the entire jet in year 1. And since we'll be using it to transport our detailing supplies, we can even write off fuel costs and all personal dinners for the year.
He's talking about transporting his cleaning supplies to go clean a jet. I mean, really, this is—
Buying a private jet is nothing like buying a car. You can't just walk into a dealership and write them a check.
Come in, bring me a check, we'll figure it out.
We ultimately went with the G750 for the bigger cabin.
This just shows you how stupid this is. You know, G700 and G800, there's a Global 7500, but there was no such thing as a G750.
And put down a $4 million deposit.
If you buy a G700 or a G800, because he's talking about G750, so I'm just interpolating, you're talking about having to put down between $15 and $20 million. I mean, he is completely putting in $4 million. They wouldn't even blink for that. To lock in the build for next year. And he said for the build next year. That's also not true, because if you order one of these G700 or G800s, if that's what he's talking about, then the actual delivery would be about 2 and a half years from now. What color should we wrap it? What color should we wrap it? It doesn't matter because this is completely garbage.
