Steve Varsano decided to build a physical showroom for selling million-dollar airplanes, against everyone's advice. People predicted bankruptcy. He ignored them and proved the showroom model worked.
When we decided to build a showroom, everything was done on the telephone. We just thought people were paying $30, $40, $50 million for an airplane. They deserved a better delivery system to learn how to buy an airplane. At the beginning, obviously everybody made fun of us. They said, you're never going to make it, you're going to go bankrupt. So really the biggest hurdle was trying to stop listening to these people and keep going forward. Eventually we proved our model out and it worked. When you're constantly doing that and people saying that, it sort of gets the other people to think that way and you have to really just keep on being persistent and just don't stop trying to reach your goal.
