In this promotional YouTube monologue, the speaker addresses mid‑career adults who have spent decades building successful, well‑paid careers while postponing a lifelong dream of writing a novel. He outlines the audience’s current life stage—children becoming more independent, career demands easing—creating a window of opportunity. He warns that traditional, slow approaches (daily writing, endless courses, endless drafts) will not yield a publishable book within a reasonable timeframe. Instead, he promises that mastering a set of fundamental writing skills can fast‑track the process, allowing the viewer to produce a book they’re proud of in weeks rather than years. He announces a free training session scheduled for the upcoming Tuesday, explains that it will detail the fast‑track method, and invites viewers to comment the word “draft” to receive the training details.

For the last 20, 30 years, you've worked hard to get to the top of your career. You're now respected, well-paid. The only problem is you kept putting off that novel that you were dreaming of writing since you were a kid. And of course you did. You had way more important things going on. You were trying to raise a family, grow this career, take care of all the bills that you've got to pay. But now for the first time, your kids don't need you as much. Your career is not killing you, taking 60+ hours a week, and you've got some time to invest in this dream you've had. Since you were a kid. The only problem is you don't have another 20 years to figure this out on your own. And if you try to do this like everybody else, that's what it's going to take, because you're going to be writing every day, reading books, going through courses, writing draft after draft after draft, and not actually getting any better or getting closer to writing a publishable novel that you're proud of. However, there are a set of fundamental skills that if you take the time to learn those first, it will fast-track your writing and get you there so much faster. So I've got a free training coming up this Tuesday where I'm going to walk you through exactly how this works and how you can start getting closer to your dream of writing a book you're proud of in weeks instead of years. So just go down to the comments, leave the word draft. I'll send you all the details and I'll see you on Tuesday.
