In this live YouTube stream, Tami Grgas greets viewers, troubleshoots StreamYard technical issues, and notes a thunderstorm in the background. She explains that she has been aggravating her severe Nebraska allergies by cleaning dusty kitchen cabinet tops, describing symptoms like voice loss, coughing, and breathing difficulty, and mentions she has exhausted her medication. Tami then introduces the free "Kick the Allergens Out of Your Home" challenge, outlining how participants can register for prizes via a pinned Google Doc and that prize distribution will depend on the number of registrations. She shares personal background: she lives near Omaha, Nebraska; both she and her older son suffer from severe allergies, while her husband and younger children do not. Tami also reveals she is a type 1 diabetic and posits that allergies may be an autoimmune response, linking her condition to her research on allergens. The stream ends as she prepares to continue the presentation.

Hi there, how are you? Let's see if I'm live in the group. Through. It looks like— oh, maybe not. I don't know. I think I need to refresh my browser and double-check. Just so you know, we have a thunderstorm here right now, so you might hear some Weird loud banging. There we go. I am live. So good to see you all. Uh, if you would like to chat or say anything, please, um, give StreamYard permission to put your name on the chat so that I know who's who, because otherwise it just shows up as Facebook user and then I don't know who I'm talking to. It's lots of fun. So as I told you, I kind of kicked my allergies into high gear because I was cleaning the tops of the cabinets in my kitchen. Lots of dust mites up there. Um, allergies in Nebraska where I live are really bad right now. Uh, I tend to lose my voice, cough a little bit. Um, you know, breathing's an issue, that kind of fun stuff. So that's where my allergies are right now. I'll be drinking water occasionally because it helps, and I think I've maxed out on meds already. So there's that. Fun, fun, right? So I wanted to I'm gonna first start off by introducing myself. My name is Tami, and I will have some slides to add here. Let's see if I can do this. Trying to figure it out. I'm going to gauge it by how many people actually register. And how you do that is there is a pinned post for you to fill out a Google Doc that just gives me your information so I know where to send whatever you win type of thing. So there's that. Let me see here. Go to the next slide. Come on. Oh, there we go. So my name is Tami Grgas. I live in Nebraska by Omaha and I suffer from allergies. My older son does as well. My husband and my two other kids don't seem to suffer from allergies. And my allergies are the worst of all of us. Well, of my son and I. I am also a type 1 diabetic. And part of my research about allergens shows me that allergies is actually an autoimmune response. Mm-hmm. Type 1 diabetes is an autoimmune disease, so a lot of times when someone has an autoimmune disease, other autoimmune things tend to get involved, which I think might be happening. Um, when we first moved back to Nebraska— because we lived here, we moved here in 2008 and we lived here for a couple years I am gonna go out And—
