Hi, Tami Grgas here. Um, I'm hoping this is streaming live. I always have technical difficulties, it feels like, but I'm trying. So I'm using StreamYard to do this live. And if you want to make comments and stuff, please go in and allow StreamYard to see you on Facebook so I can see your names. And whatnot. Um, and then we can have a conversation in the chat. Otherwise you'll just be StreamYard user or Facebook user, or I can't remember what it is anyways. So I've got a few fun things around the corner here. Uh, for those of you that this is streaming outside of my group, this piece of my hair is bugging me. Sorry. There, that's better. For anybody who's not in the group, please post below saying, add me to the group if you'd like to get in there. I am— it's a hairstyling group, like, it's about hair tips and tricks and stuff like that. And I am in the process of kind of changing it a little bit. I want to add some new rules and, uh, do a contest, get everybody to go and accept the new rules. And when they do that, they'll comment in a post that I put in the group. And that will be starting— let me think, I have to look. I've got my calendars up here because Yeah, I saw somebody do that and I was like, wow, that's cool. I think I need to be a better businesswoman and do that. So today is the 8th? Yes, it is. So I am going to start that on Monday the 13th. Um, by then I will have everything changed over, and I'm going to ask everybody in the group to go accept the new rules, uh, look them over and make sure they agree with them. If not, then don't accept them. And then, you know, at the end of the week— because I'll do it from the 13th to the 19th— and at the end of the week, those who have not gone in and accepted the new rules Well, like, I'll send them one last message, I, I believe, just to say, hey, I'm going to be kicking you out of the group unless you do this. You know, I might, I might send them that message on the Saturday the 18th, um, just to give them a reminder, because not everybody sees all the posts, and I, I understand that. It's, um, you know, it's fickle Facebook. And So another thing that I'm going to be doing is everybody that does go in and accept the rules and then tells me that they've accepted the rules. And there's some other bonus ways to gain entries, but I'm going to be doing a drawing, and I'm going to have a grand prize that's worth over $200. I haven't figured out quite all the elements of it yet, but I'm working on it. And then we're going to have Depending on how many people get in this, I mean, the group has over 7,000 people in it. So I— and I don't know half of them. So this is a group that I, I took out of the archive. Somebody else had started it, and I was like, hey, I'll reopen this group and get it going, and let's talk about hair and fashion and beauty, and you know, all the fun stuff us girls like to talk about. So anyways, so there will be anywhere from 5 to 10 people depending on how many entries I have. Okay, I'm going to look at the amount of entries and either increase or decrease that number. But we'll do a group coaching call about their hair. So I'll have like a questionnaire for them to fill out. And, um, they can let me know what their hair issues are and I can maybe help them figure that out. I don't know, we'll see. Um, and for those of you who don't know me, I know I'm babbling on here. I have been a cosmetologist, which is a hairstylist, and I also do other things like skincare and stuff, but mostly doing hair. I love doing hair. Um, since the early '80s. I won't tell you the exact date because it's been a long time. Um, I've learned a lot over the years, a lot, and I want to share my knowledge with others and help people to figure out how to play with their own hair, figure out what can and cannot work with their hair and what they can do to modify that. you know, like there's just so many things that you can do. Um, so that, that's, you know, I have a lot of experience with doing hair and, uh, I really enjoy it. So anyways, um, let me see here. The group rules will be changing. I will also be changing the name of the group. Okay. And I'm gonna have like 3 to 5 different options. And if other people want to add their ideas, they can. I'm going to leave that kind of open-ended, and we will all vote on what we're going to rename the group. And then I will do another live where I actually change the name of the group during the live and announce the winners and that kind of stuff. Um, sorry, my allergies are really bad here in Nebraska right now. Well, They're always bad for me. That's why I, I'm not— I love to wear makeup. I love it when I have it on. I hate having to take it off at night, but with my allergies, I just can't right now. Um, yesterday I wore some makeup and my allergies went absolutely batty. So today I'm not. Um, Sorry, I'm umming so much. So, um, I'm also going to be— there I go again. I'm also going to be starting a beta group for this course that I'm developing. Now, I would like to— I don't know how many people to cap it off at yet. I'm thinking 10 to 30 people, depending on the interest and that kind of stuff. I'm going to have a, um, an application for people to fill out so that they can tell me a little bit about their hair and about their issues and that kind of stuff. And, and I can figure out if they really need my help or not, because there are going to be some people that this course isn't really for. Um, this is course This is— this course is to help women to understand their hair so that when they go to a hairstylist, they can have a conversation about what they want to do with their hair and know— like, my biggest thing is when, when I would go— when I was living in upstate New York, I was looking for a hairstylist. I wasn't doing hair at that time. I was homeschooling my son. He was in second and third grade, I believe. No, first and second grade up there. Anyways, that doesn't really matter. Um, in that process, I was trying to find a hairdresser while I was there, and that is where I learned a lot of these um, tips and tricks about finding a hairstylist that will work for you. And of course, I found my hairstylist and then we moved, so you know, you know how that goes. But when we moved back to Nebraska, I was able to use what I'd learned in upstate New York and find a stylist right away that I connected with. And I also walked away from some stylists um, in a— in not a sleazy way. Like, I didn't, I didn't hurt her feelings, my feelings weren't hurt. It was a very polite and kind way to walk away, which I go through in my course and help people to figure this out. And a few of the things, like, the number one thing is to understand what your hair type is. What are your hair's quirks? And like mine, I can— I've got this wave in here and I can play with the wave, or I could easily straighten it. Um, I don't have the, the ringly curls like my son does, and I have to know that this is my hair, this is what my hair can and cannot do. And then When I've gone to stylists and I've asked them questions about my hair, I knew the answer. So if they came back to me with the wrong answer, that's when I knew, oh, nope, not a good fit for me. They don't even understand my hair. You know, like, if I say, well, well, what do you think my, my texture is? And they're like, oh, you have straight hair. No, I don't. You know, like, I don't ultimately say that to them. I let them go through their consultation, and then I have certain ways of getting out of them touching their— touching my hair with shears or with chemicals. So, so that, that's what that course is about. And then going further down the line, there's going to be other elements to it. But for now, that's, that's the opening to help women find their hairdresser. And that's what I really, really want to do. So the beta group is going to be from November 27th to December 3rd. And then the launch date of my course Putting this out there, people. December 11th. Okay, is when I'm going to be launching it. It's going to be a 3-day challenge. And in this challenge, I'm going to gather information from everybody that gets in about their hair type and hair texture that they understand. And I'm going to go through different, different tools and tips and tricks. About how to deal with different hair types. And depending on who's there is going to depend on what my content will be. I might even do kind of like, um, one-on-one through Zoom that we— that I talk to them about their hair and stuff, and then I give them, like, give them my feedback on what I think about their hair and, and things that they can try. I was also thinking of getting people to bring all of the products they have under their sink for their hair that they don't use because either a hairdresser told them it was a good idea or they just thought it was a good idea. If they get them out, they might still be able to use some of those products. They just might not know how to use them. So You know, those are the kind of things I'd like to do in this 3-day challenge. I haven't quite mapped it all out yet. I'm still in that process. This is me building my business. And I took a trip to Idaho, and Steve Larson, he's, he's a wonderful, wonderful dude. He, he talks a lot about marketing and stuff like that. I got to go to his event. I spent 3 days in the middle of a room with a bunch of entrepreneurs, and I never knew that those are my people. Like, I— so I have done network marketing for years. Like, that's— I thought it was an easier way to be an entrepreneur is to go through the network marketing. You don't have to come up with the product, you don't have to distribute the product, you just have to go through the sales process. Well, every time— I was with Premier Designs Jewelry for quite a while until they closed up, which was really sad, but I loved that company. I loved all the people. I loved the environment. I went to most of the events, like the big events, and I loved it. However, I never felt like I fit there. It was really hard for me trying to figure out, why don't I fit? Like, why? What's wrong with me? Is what I always thought, which wasn't the way to look at it. It's more, um, not that it's anything wrong with them, it was that I was in the wrong place. So, you know, I've done other network marketing companies, gone to their events, still didn't quite feel just right about it. It was— I don't know, I can't explain it. But at this 3-day event, I was with my people. They spoke my language. They, like, they shared ideas with me. They, they gave me feedback. It was just a wonderful 3-day event. Absolutely wonderful. And I will definitely be going back because it was also— he has a, a studio, Steve, that I think his maximum capacity is 100 people. So it's a lot smaller because I do— I have gone to bigger events, like I've gone to Ray Higdon's events, which had a lot more people, and when there's more than like, I don't know, 50 to 100 people, I get anxiety and I sit and write notes and don't really talk to anybody. Whereas at this smaller event, I made friends, I made connections. I have an email list that I actually need to get my butt on sending out, but I will. Um, to everybody who gave me their emails and their phone numbers and stuff so that we can connect through email. And I've connected with a few of them on Facebook, and it's just— I'm sorry, I, I'm in my, my space right now. I'm in my jam. I'm like so excited about starting this business. So I hope And I pray that if you struggle to find the right hairstylist, or if you're just curious about what I'm doing, keep your eye out because I'm going to be announcing it more and more. Um, I'm going to be making more and more noise about this. I'm going to be doing weekly lives, and then I'm going to be sharing this to other platforms. And I just want to have as many people as I can in there and get feedback. That's ultimately what I'm after is I'm after your feedback. If you want to be in the beta group, which starts November 27th, so, uh, 1, 2, 3 Mondays from now. Yeah. I will be getting— I believe I already got together most of my— it's like a Google Doc for people to fill out. And I don't know how I'm going to get that out there right now, whether I'm going to post it or what I'm going to do. However, if you would like to DM me, Tami Grgas, go in the DMs and say, hey, Tami, can I get in your beta group? And then I can send you the link through there once I'm finished building it. Yeah, I think that's a good idea. Just DM me. Like I say, I'll be talking about this more and more. I'm super excited. I want to help some women. I want to— I want to disrupt the beauty industry. I want women to feel more enabled— not enabled, um, more in charge of what stylists do to their hair. And that's not just the high-end salons. I'm talking lower end too. Every stylist has gone through the same education. Now, whether they remember it or not is— I don't know, beyond me. However, I believe that every stylist should be consulting with the person sitting in the chair. Mm-hmm. I believe that every stylist should care about the woman's hair in her chair, and if she doesn't, that's bad. I think that's when a lot of bad hairdos happen, is because they, they know that you're not a right fit for them, whether it's they just don't they, they don't like doing younger people's hair, they don't like doing older people's hair, they don't like doing long hair, they don't like doing short hair, they don't like doing curly hair, they don't like doing straight hair. Like, all these different parameters could come into play. I had a girlfriend that I used to work with at Regis, and she hated doing long hair. Hated it. She always wanted to do short hair, and whatever. So we booked her all the short haircuts. I mean, when someone has a spot that they feel comfortable in, instead of giving them things that they don't feel comfortable with, load them up with what they're comfortable with so they can master it, and then give them a mannequin to practice what they're not comfortable with. That's my theory anyways. So I'm going to get off here now. I've got— a live, uh, Zoom coming up with Stephen, my buddy, and I hope some of you reach out to me. Um, if we're not friends, friend request me and then send me a DM. I'm not— when people send me DMs and we're not friends, it goes into this other folder, and I'm kind of not not great at checking that too often. I'll try to check it just in case, but please just friend request me. And any ladies that friend request me right now, I'm going to accept because of what I'm doing. Men, unless I know them, I'm sorry, I won't be accepting your friend request because I am— Okay. I am a God-loving married woman and I don't want any more male friends right now. I want lady friends. I want to build a community in my Facebook group and have fun in there, give away prizes. Next month I'm going to show you what I'm giving away because this is one of my favorite tools. This is what I'll be giving away next month. Um, I don't know how many of you have used like the eyelash curlers that you pinch your eyelashes with. Those are damaging to your eyelashes. Those make your cuticle on your eyelash, um, lift up and do like— it's bad for your lashes, especially like when I was younger, I used to like Squeeze it as hard as I could because my lashes all point down, which is a pain. And then I found this guy and I will be going over how to use it. And I'll probably do the giveaway after Christmas. But what I'd like for people to do in the group is to take before and after pictures. Of whatever mascara they're using and take a picture of their mascara so that we can all vote on which mascaras we think are the best. Don't you think that sounds like fun? I think it does. Um, I've already done a few because I have like, I don't know, however many. But this one, I mean, I got this one at the Supply House. I have to take it back. It's dry. I'm like, totally like, look at this. It's a, like, the biggest mascara I've ever seen, but it's totally dry and all, like, gross. I'm like, well, that's not gonna work. So I'm taking this one back to exchange it, and hopefully I get one that has a good wetness to it so I can actually try it and see what it does. But yeah, I've tried a few different mascaras. I've tried inexpensive mascara. I just ordered some mascara because I'm a crazy Amazon girl. Just ordered some from Amazon that was on sale, and I'm like, hey, I'll try that one. Why not? Why not? Let's try all the mascaras and just see which ones we think are, are giving us the look we want. I, I ultimately, like, I had my lashes done and I have issues with the lash glue. Um, but I loved having my lashes. I loved how they felt, how— like, everything about them was fantastic. I loved it. And I want my mascara to do something like that. And I don't have short lashes. I just have lashes that point down. So with my heated curling tool for my lashes, I do that first. Then I will do a one coat of mascara, let that dry. Then I'll do the curling brush again. You have to let it dry though, otherwise you get mascara all over this guy and that's not good. So then I curl it again and then I'll do a second coat. And usually that's where I like to stop. I don't like to do 20 coats, you know. But anyways, I'm getting out of hand here with talking about mascara. Now that is the contest we're gonna do, um, and I only have one of these, girls. And I, I will do a— I will show you guys how to use it too. It's pretty cool. It's pretty cool and pretty easy. Like I say, one of my favorite tools for my eyelashes. So yeah, that's all I gotta say now. Love y'all, God bless, and I'll see you when I see ya. Bye! Bye!
