Hi, how are you? I'm doing great. This is Tami Grgas here, and I wanted to talk to you about hair color today. I have some hair color hack. It's the secret sauce to flawless locks in 2024. So are you over the moon with your current hair color? Only to watch it wash down the drain literally after a few weeks? Fear not, fellow trendsetters and head-turners of 2024. I'm spilling the tea, or iced tea, on the ultimate hair color hack that will have your locks screaming vibrancy and perfection louder than a Gen Xer at a comeback concert. Honestly. First, we're gonna talk about fighting the fade and armoring up your hair. So let's tackle the notorious color fade. It's like investing in haute couture only to have it unravel at the first gala. It really is. High quality. Sulfate-free hair care products are your knights in shining armor here. They really are. They protect your color like a mama bear protects her cubs fiercely and loyally. Also, turn down the heat, both from styling tools and the sun. A hat or a scarf isn't just a fashion statement, it's your color's best friend. So protect your color in the sunlight for sure. And let's not forget the power of lukewarm water. Hot showers might be your zen place, but your hair color thinks otherwise. Hot water is going to swell up your, your hair shaft, which opens up the cuticle, which allows color to leak out. Yeah. So yeah, um, stay away from the hot water in the shower on your head anyways. I mean, if you want to put it on your body, it's still going to dry your skin and whatnot, but keep it out of your hair if you color your hair for sure. So skin tone, we're going to talk about the skin tone symphony, picking the perfect pitch. Okay, so we're playing the perfect pitch with your skin tone. This isn't just a game of darts. It's more like a meticulously composed symphony. Warm undertones in your skin, you think honey and caramel tones in your hair. Cool undertones in your skin, you're gonna think more ashy, or platinum if you're going blonde. If you have more of a neutral, the world is your oyster. You can just dive into both palettes and see what makes your heart sing. Remember, the right shade not only complements your skin, but also adds an extra— Oomph. Oomph to your overall vibe. It really does. So, locks love the care your hair craves. Yes. Maintaining that flawless color isn't just about right products. It's about a love affair with your locks. It really is. Treat them gently. Bath them in the right water and protect them from the heat's wrath. Now what we mean by the right water is— Get a water softener. I know I need one too. Water softeners, it, it helps so much with your hair and it keeps your color from fading. tremendously. So deep condition like it's your religion, and watch your hair thank you with vibrant color that lasts. It's— deep conditioning is very important. I try to do it on my hair once a month, depending. And another thing that I do with my hair that I see a lot of people not doing with their hair, and it's especially important when you have red tones in your hair. I do not wash my hair very often. So I wash my hair once, twice a week. Kind of depends on the week and what's going on, what I'm doing. If I'm doing painting in the house and stuff like that, then I'll probably have— wash my hair more. That doesn't mean you can't have a shower. It just means you don't get your hair wet. You don't wash it. So, yeah. So there's pro tips I have for you from the Vibrancy Vault. Now let's sneak into the pros' vibrancy vault here. Hi. I've been sworn to secrecy on a lot of these things, but I'm gonna share anyways. Shh. The right products are your first weapon of choice, people, really. Sulfate-free. I don't know that you understand the importance of sulfate-free. And also having UV filters. They are like the secret sauce to vibrant hair. They're so important. Watch for them when you're purchasing a color, treat it— or shampoo, conditioner, any kind of products. Make sure they are sulfate-free. And that they have UV filters to protect your hair color. These are the two most important things that you want to see in there. Timing is everything, and so is the technique. An even application and a gentle touch can make all the difference. So when you're getting highlights or lowlights, and that person doing your hair is like pulling it like a crazy person, that's not good for it. If you see that not all of your hair is fully saturated with the color, that's not going to be any good for it either. These are things to watch out for. When you're somewhere getting your hair colored. And when the coloring caper is over, the aftercare saga begins. So you nourish, moisturize, protect to keep those vibrant shades popping. Pop, pop, popping. So important. In a nutshell, Flawless hair color in 2024 is more than just a trend, it's a movement. I want you to embrace these hacks and watch your hair transform from dull to dazzling. If you are in the dull place right now, it might take a little while to get there, and I'm going to show you a little trick that I love, so this is like, I can't even, it's pretty bad when I can't remember when I washed my hair last. It's been like 3 days, I believe. So I just grab my oil and I do like 4 drops into my, I'm gonna take my glasses off, into my hand. Smooth it all over my hand. Mm-hmm. And I mean, this stuff's also good for the— for like dry skin. So I kind of put it all over, and then I'm just going to run my fingers through my hair. I don't like to get it right by my scalp because that kind of flattens it. I like to really concentrate it on my ends. Uh, a little bit naughty because I was wearing it curly. Curls create knots. That's a reality of having natural curl, natural wave. And I, you know, I did have hairspray in it and stuff like that, but that softens everything up. And now with that oil in there, number one, it's going to add more of a shine. Right now, I don't know if you can see it's got a little more shine to it now. This way. And it's also— everything's backwards when I look at the screen, so I have to do that right. I don't know what I'm doing anymore. I think I go this way, don't I? Yeah. Okay. All right. So like I say, just put it on your skin. It's so good for you. So now I've just created more shine in my hair. And when you apply these oils to your hair, that is a conditioning treatment. Okay? So that's kind of a bonus conditioning treatment as well. So there we go. Little more shine. So Because we all know life might not be perfect, but with these tips your hair color certainly can be. So here's to turning heads, sparkling conversations, and rocking 2024 with hair so vibrant it becomes your signature. Now, Marilyn Monroe has so many quotes. I love her. Wish I could have met her.
