In this live monologue, Tami Grgas apologizes for missing her planned timeline to launch an allergen‑removal challenge. She explains that after a broken ankle left her house untouched for four months, she attempted to clean dust and dog hair from the tops of kitchen cabinets, which triggered a severe allergic reaction that escalated into bronchitis. Tami describes the symptoms (lost voice, coughing, congestion) and the remedies she employed—antihistamines, Sudafed‑type decongestants, cold medication with antihistamine, essential oils, an air filter, and elevated sleeping position. She notes that her husband suffered from her nighttime coughing. To prevent future overload, she plans to enlist her son, who has milder allergies, to vacuum the high cabinets. Tami announces that next week she will start a community challenge to help viewers remove allergens from their homes, offering tools and strategies. She outlines the current streaming setup (StreamYard broadcast to Facebook and YouTube) and her goal to eventually move the challenge to Zoom. She invites viewers to contact her to join the Facebook group where the challenge will be hosted, and promises to post an announcement once her voice improves. Throughout, she expresses sincere regret, frustration with her health setbacks, and a hopeful tone about helping others achieve allergy‑free living.

Hey there. I believe I'm live. I'm starting to get my voice back. Um, I apologize. So in my quest to rid my house of allergens, I have been cleaning a lot. When I broke my ankle, there was no cleaning done for like 4 months. And I'm trying to make up for lost time. I was trying to dust off the top of my kitchen cabinets, and there was a lot of dust up there, a lot of dog fur, you know, that fun stuff. And it knocked me out. It just For those of you who suffer from allergies, you probably understand the situation. It's not fun. So I lost my voice for a day, maybe a day and a half. I was having difficulty breathing, of course, but I just— I took my allergy medication, I stayed by my air filter, I did everything I could. I elevated my head in bed so that I could sleep, which didn't help my poor husband because I was coughing and gagging all night. It was horrible. And now it has— so for me, a lot of people who have allergies, they, um, their allergies can turn into pneumonia very easily. mine turns into bronchitis, which has happened, which I didn't even— if I had been thinking ahead of time, because sometimes we don't think, you know, I was doing my essential oils, I was doing everything I could, but because so many allergens had come into my body, my body was just like freaking out. And, um, so I took extra like Sudafed type of stuff to help, and I ended up last night or yesterday, I found some cold medication that we had, like, you know, head cold medication. I was like, wait a minute, that's got antihistamine in it. So I took the daytime cold medication. I did feel better. It wasn't 100%, but I felt better. I was able to function a little bit yesterday, which was good. Then last night I took a nighttime one and I actually got to sleep and my poor husband got to sleep. So, you know, these allergies are horrible and I really want to get them out of my house, but it's hard when you're the one who has the allergies. So going forward, I am going to get my son, who does have some allergies but not as bad as mine— that I honestly, I came close to going to urgent care again. Um, he is going to get up top and vacuum off the top of the cupboards where which have not been dusted probably for a year, so it's pretty bad up there. Um, get all that stuff off of there. I need to add that to one of my, um, probably seasonal things to do is to get up and vacuum up there. Uh, and the— these are things that I'm figuring out alongside of you all. Uh, I've found some things that really do help, like Definitely having my essential oils has helped me through this, and sitting by my filter and stuff like that. But when you get attacked by so many allergens at once, it can knock you on your butt, which it did to me. So I'm so sorry that this has happened to me. Um, I don't know, my, my ears are— I still can't hear very well. My, my whole head is just congested because my body's trying to fight it. So hopefully, please God, let it happen. Next week I will get this challenge started and help you all to understand about allergens and help you to have some tools to fight the allergens. I just, I don't like living like this. It's not fun. But again, I apologize for not getting this done in the timeline that I had anticipated. I kind of sabotaged myself, which is something that I do sometimes. I apologize. I hope you all are having a wonderful day. Hi. Um, do your best to keep the allergens out of your house. And I will put an announcement in the group once I feel like my voice is coming back more strong and I don't feel like I'm going to cough all the time. And I will get this information to you through StreamYard because I think I'm figuring out this platform. Um, it's difficult. If— I'm also streaming this on my Facebook page and in YouTube, and if anybody would like to be part of this challenge that I'm doing to help get allergens out of our houses so that we can breathe and live a peaceful life, uh, um, please just reach out to me. Send me a message. I will try and get in and put a link to the Facebook group because that's where I'm going to be doing the challenge for now. Eventually it will be— my goal is to be able to do this challenge on, on a, on a bigger platform, so to get on to Zoom and that kind of stuff. But right now I'm doing it through StreamYard. One technological difficulty at a time. Um, sorry. Um, anyways, I should get off now before I do have a crazy coughing fit, and, uh, I hope you have a wonderful allergy-free day. Bye! Bye!
