Chapters

Algorithms, social media, technology— they shape everything around us, and sometimes it feels like classical music is being left behind. I am not against social media. In fact, when we use it educationally, it can be incredibly effective and powerful. It helps us reach new students, new listeners, and communities that were previously thought impossible. But let's be clear: a 30-second clip can never replace the depth of a live performance. What it can do is invite people in, give them a glimpse, spark their curiosity, and lead them to witness the real thing. Because at its core, creativity isn't about chasing trends. It's about making human connection possible in every form we share our music. And that's what will happen on October 4th at Stiefel Hall, The New School. For the first time, The Piano Pod with Yukimi Song is stepping onto the stage with 4 extraordinary pianists, thought leaders, who will perform, share their stories, and demonstrate how creativity can reimagine what it means to be a classical musician today. This isn't about fighting technology. It's about creating something no algorithm can ever replicate. So hope to see you at Stiefel Hall on October 4th at 1 PM. All the details are in our bio.
