Chapters

This creativity is for me the embodiment of Schubert. That his music is so— as I mentioned earlier, he was criticized a lot during his time for almost being too creative and not obeying the formal rules of composition which were of his time. And I think that's why I love him so much, because he has this freedom that just— he follows his soul and not his brain, not his his mind. And that is for me the essence of Schubert, is just the love and sharing the love. That's— and sharing the pain as well, because for me Schubert is pain and love mixed together. And he wrote about that as well, how love and pain are so connected. And, you know, in life we have ups and downs, and that's what makes life so special. You know, being on top of a mountain seeing a wonderful view, it takes a lot of pain and effort to climb that mountain. And yeah, so I think for me, Schubert is an expression of what life is.
