This is a YouTube trailer titled "Official Trailer ✅: \"Mirrors and Echoes\" feat. UK-Pianist, Artivist, & Artrepreneur, Aïda Lahlou" (created 2026-01-26). It contains an excerpt of an interview/promo: a UK-based, award-winning pianist and multidisciplinary artist (Aïda Lahlou) reflecting on her artistry — prioritizing humanity, translating notation into meaning, valuing impact over recognition, and artistic agency — followed by an announcer inviting listeners to the episode premiere ("Mirrors and Echoes") on January 27 at 8 PM ET on the channel and podcast platforms.

Chapters

The basis for my artistry is really my humanity first. I would say whatever I want to achieve as a human comes first, and then my art, uh, the fact that I happen to be a pianist and that I've got this technique on this instrument, or I've got this voice that I can use on the stage, and so on, that's just a vehicle to try and achieve those things. I'm really attracted to both the meaning behind the pieces. So how do we translate an inert piece of musical notation into something that has meaning for real living humans with a beating heart? Impact is something I should chase a lot more than recognition. I wish more musicians fly with their ideas and actually make something that they own and that they can, you know, move the needle in a way that benefits artists and benefits our industry in real terms rather than benefits institutions.
For our upcoming episode, Mirrors and Echoes, I invited Aida Laloo, UK-based award-winning pianist and multidisciplinary artist, to reflect on her debut album and the ideas shaping her work today: sound, risk, creativity, and artistic agency. Join us tomorrow January 27th at 8 PM Eastern Time on our YouTube channel for the video premiere. The audio episode will be available simultaneously wherever you listen to podcasts. See you tomorrow.
