I am a pianist, composer, educator, and creative coach. I am the most passionate about Brazilian music, although I also play jazz and classical music. And above all, I consider myself a curious person, and I think that's what leads me to continue pursuing a creative career.
In the 7th episode of the season titled "Crafting Creative Path: Exploring Brazilian Rhythms, Creative Coaching, and the Art of Self-Compassion," We are excited to welcome acclaimed composer, recording artist, and pianist Rebecca Haas. As a multifaceted artist, Rebecca's work seamlessly bridges music, coaching, and mental health advocacy. Her journey is a powerful testament to persistence, authenticity, and self-compassion. From her passion for Brazilian rhythms to her groundbreaking coaching practices, Rebecca has carved a truly unique path in the music world.
I think it does come back to curiosity. And letting that and just moving toward the things that light you up be the way that takes you on your path. I really tried to force myself into some paths that were not for me, like many times, and that's fine. Like I think I had to take some so-called wrong turns in order to figure out what I did really wanna be doing. And I don't really consider them wrong turns cuz I, I learned from every single thing that I have done cuz I think I was more in a fixed mindset of this is how I am. And I can't become something else in those times when I didn't have the confidence to be a composer. And then once I embraced growth mindset more, it was like, well, yeah, you keep growing. And, um, the theme that's really come through for me the most in the last few years is pursuing creative joy, because I've just realized that that's how we have longevity, both in this profession and just in life. We have to keep pursuing joy, and ultimately that's what's going to keep us going and continue to feed us.
So, dear TPP friends and listeners, don't miss this captivating conversation. Join us this Tuesday, December 3rd, at 8 PM Eastern Time on our YouTube channel, or listen to the episode on your go-to podcast platforms. Tune in and let Rebecca's empowering story spark fresh inspiration for your own musical journey.
