(uploaded April 22, 2024). The clip features two speakers: one describing a music project—a three-movement suite intended to keep climate-change discussion in the public sphere, freely downloadable for professional and amateur pianists to perform and share—and a second speaker promoting a follow-up livestream on their YouTube channel featuring multi-award-winning composer Brian Field. The excerpt combines a project overview (purpose, format, and distribution) with a call-to-action to join the livestream.

Chapters

The project really stems from the increasing polarization around the whole issue of climate change. And it's no, no surprise that it's in the media, kind of in the cyclical nature. Some big piece of news happens, media outlets talk about climate change, you know, for a moment in time, and then it subsides. It's on to the next headline. The need for us all to take action and begin to build a much more unified groundswell around action. It requires more consistency in that message. So this whole effort was an opportunity to create a consistent year-round, week-to-week, month-to-month, day-to-day, actually, opportunity to keep the discussion around climate change in the public sphere, in the audience. Regularly. So the whole design of this is essentially a suite of 3 movements. Each pianist who wishes to participate, and they can be a professional concert pianist, they can be an amateur pianist, can download the music at no charge, can choose to play in recital formats, in social media and posting it.
