Hey piano lovers out there! My name is Yukimi Song. I'm a classical pianist and educator from New York City, and I am also the creator and executive producer of The Piano Pod with Yukimi Song. Are you someone who's been playing the piano for fun quite some time, or do you love listening to piano music? You may be someone currently pursuing a career in piano or working professionally in the music industry, or you may be a parent raising the future classical pianist. Wherever you are in your piano journey, welcome and thank you for stopping by my YouTube channel. A long time ago, when I started building a thriving community through piano teaching in the trendy neighborhood of downtown Manhattan, New York City, I began to ask myself with this question: How can I present the beautiful tradition of classical music to the 21st century audience in a fun, contemporary, and engaging way? And then during my graduate studies at NYU, one of the music department's professors suggested that I should start a podcast to create a digital community for classical musicians to start a conversation about audience engagement. Fast forward, the opportunity finally came in the summer of 2020 when I reached out to my colleagues Clara Zhang and Eric Hunter and received immediate yes from them. So in the past seasons, we had the privilege of interviewing international concert pianists, composers, arrangers, digital streamers, influencers, music educators, neurodiverse specialists, and performance psychologists. Currently in Season 3, the show's format remains the same. Biweekly, I get to interview a guest speaker who's been breaking exciting new ground in the music industry. In each episode, you'll get to glimpse what it takes to be the A-listers in the classical music world. So my goal for The Piano Pod with Yukimi Song is to provide a platform for classical musicians and music educators to reflect and discuss how to keep our industry thriving and relevant in this rapidly changing world and move it forward in the post-pandemic era. I believe in the magic of music. Because music moves and connects people in a very special way. And I also particularly believe in the power of classical music. It can be a transformational experience for many people through listening, learning, or delivering, and it changed my life, and I'm sure it has for you too. So please join me in this journey by watching or listening to The Piano Pod with Yukimi Song with Yukimi Song with Yukimi Song and subscribing to my YouTube channel and liking the episodes. So, more episodes to come very soon. Till next time.
