So Judy Cicero, one of our business coaches here, actually share about one simple team building event you could do at your clinic during the workday. Check it out.
Can you give an example of some team building events that can be done throughout a workday while work is going on? Yes, absolutely. This is the hard part, but taking time to just develop the relationship of how are things going? What did your kids do? Tell me about that difficult patient. I heard you explaining the rationale to your patient. You did a great job. I was listening to how you explained that. I'd like to learn how to do that. Even better. Having that type of engagement that, that is not punitive, but it's really direct at addressing where they are coming from. Can start the team building without having to have fancy retreats and fancy events because you can have those fancy events, but if there's not trust, it's meaningless. So you can have those start with those simple discussions. You see, this is hard to have these conversations that matter because we're in between patients, we're down the hallway and somebody needs to ask you a question and those things really are a problem. We have to carve out designated time, even if it's just five minutes, three minutes to have a simple meaningful conversation.
