Who Opened That Door? Love, Lies, and Lingering Spirits: A Spiritual Wake-Up Call on Soul Ties and Energetic Contamination
30 Jul 2025 · 22 min
In this episode of The Trigger and the Truth, host Tina White explores the hidden spiritual and energetic consequences of infidelity, deception, and emotional betrayal. She frames cheating not only as a relational breach but as a spiritual breach that creates soul‑ties, invites demonic or chaotic energies, and leaves victims with lingering “spiritual residue.” Tina shares a personal story of a partner returning from a trip with an unseen presence that filled her bedroom with heaviness, illustrating how a partner’s lies can bring harmful spirits into a shared space. The conversation moves into self‑accountability, encouraging listeners to examine their own role in relational breakdowns. Tina then defines spiritual fallout—manifesting as chronic fatigue, mood swings, anxiety, and unexplained negativity—linking it to energetic contamination from the cheater’s unresolved spirits. She outlines a step‑by‑step spiritual detox: cutting ties, cleansing the environment with sage, prayer, sound, naming the attached spirits, and establishing firm spiritual boundaries. The episode also touches on the mental‑health challenges entrepreneurs face, promoting a 21‑day emotional mastery program for women in business. Throughout, Tina emphasizes honesty, full disclosure, and the importance of protecting one’s peace by setting and maintaining spiritual boundaries.

Yourself under attack for no reason, energy off, opportunities blocked, enemies with your name in their mouth and you've never even met them. Let me tell you something, sometimes you're not the problem, you're just sleeping next to it. This is the Trigger and the Truth, and today we're talking about the spiritual residue of cheating lying, and emotional betrayal, and what happens when you become collateral damage in someone else's dirty little secrets. You ever walk into a room and feel something is off? Heavy energy, spiritual fog, a vibe that don't belong to you. This episode is for anybody who's ever loved someone living in deception and woke up wondering why your life was falling apart. In Who Opened That Door? Love, Lies, and Lingering Spirits, I'll break down the emotional, mental, and spiritual cost of staying connected to someone who is unfaithful, unhealed, and unaccountable. From soul ties to monitoring spirits, spiritual residue to emotional gaslighting, this is an unfiltered truth-telling episode about protecting your peace, listening to your gut, and refusing to carry spirits that were never yours to begin with. Because sometimes it's not you, it's who you're tied to. Cheating isn't just a mistake, it's a spiritual breach. Whether you believe it or not, every act of betrayal opens a portal. Spiritually, emotionally, energetically. And when your partner lies, they're not just betraying you, they're inviting in chaos. Cheating binds people through soul ties, and soul ties are real. They don't just go away because the situationship ended. Those ties carry jealousy, anger, rejection, and yes, demonic energy. Now don't get me wrong, I won't say that I've never cheated because that would be a lie, but 9 times out of 10, while I may not cheat, I will have your blood pressure up, especially if I find out you've been lying to me. But have you ever experienced a situation where you didn't cheat but somehow you're exhausted, anxious, and under attack? Why? Because your partner is in fact cheating and they let something into your house, and now you're fighting battles you didn't start. Social media has made it dangerously easy for exes, side pieces, and hidden enemies to observe you silently. They're watching you win, heal, glow, and hating you for it, even when their issue was never with you. You might be asking, why is this random person watching my stories, subtweeting me, or moving funny? Sometimes it's not random. Your partner was the common denominator, and now their chaos has found a new address— yours. The real betrayal isn't just the cheating, it's the fact that now your peace is being hunted because someone couldn't keep their lies on a leash. You don't need to meet someone to be spiritually targeted by them. That's the danger of being tethered to someone with no integrity.
To tell the truth, let's unpack a heavy bag that's been bursting at the seams. We owe it to ourselves to hold ourselves accountable, owning our part in the breakdown of a relationship. One of us might be a narcissist, or maybe both of us. Are you willing to tell the truth about your role? Did you burn sage only to pass out from the fumes? Are you perhaps the root cause of the problem? I'll go first. If I'm being honest, I can be problematic when my buttons are pushed or when I feel my boundaries have been crossed. God is still working on me, and that's why we're here. I'm taking this journey with you because I need healing just as much as anyone else. I've had to confront my own tendencies. I've realized that in conflict, I almost always become an avoidant. I shut down, walk away, and don't look back. That's not healthy. So, here's the question: Can you face yourself and admit to your part? The first step toward healing is honesty.
Let me tell you guys a story. Y'all know I always have a relatable story. I was dating this man. We've been seeing each other for about 3 months at the time. And in that time, we were growing close. Dinners a few times a week, long talks, late nights, planning trips, all the regular things when you're getting to know someone. We were building what I thought was a solid connection. Then out of the blue, he hits me with this, I gotta go to South Carolina tonight to see my grandmother. Just like that, no buildup, no context. And when I offered to come, he said, my cousin's going with me. That was the first red flag. But you know me, I always have something else to do. So I told him to have a safe trip and went about my day. But here's the thing, we were always in touch from the day we met, every day, all day. So when a whole 12 hours went by with no call, no text, no nothing, my spirit knew something was off. Fast forward, he gets back about 3 days later. It was super late, after midnight. Barely contacted me the whole time he was gone. Then suddenly he's calling, texting, harassing my phone, insisting he come over. I say okay. He walks into my bedroom, and the moment he stepped into that room, I'll never forget it. That man did not walk in alone. Whatever spirit had attached itself to him on that trip, it came with him. The air turned heavy, cloudy, uneasy, like something walked through the door behind him that I couldn't see, but I felt. My body felt it. My soul felt it. So I sat up. Now mind you, the whole time he's standing near the bedroom door taking his jacket off. Then he starts rambling about how he didn't get to see his grandmother, some disjointed story that didn't even make sense. So you know me, I let him finish his little dog and pony show. And when he was done, I just looked at him dead in his eyes and said, you're lying. He looked shocked, like, huh, what you mean I'm lying? He tried to deny it, but I wasn't asking him, I was telling him, sir, you're a liar. And then I rolled over and went back to sleep because spiritually the damage had already been done. And from that night on, we were never the same. Now mind you, this particular situation dragged on for 4 years. And no matter how much I tried to ignore it, the tension, the drama, the spiritual heaviness, it never left. It grew. And with time, the foolishness and fuckery just got worse and worse until he crossed the line and I woke up one day and never spoke another word to him again. No exaggeration. After a crazy series of incidents one day in May of 2022, I decided to cut ties and never look back. When people talk about soul ties, spirits, demonic energies, and monitoring spirits, listen to me, it's real. You can feel it. You can cut through it with a knife. Your body knows, your spirit knows, and if you're wise, you'll trust your gut because it will never steer you wrong. In the years that followed that moment, after that man walked into my room with a spirit that wasn't his alone, I learned so much about myself, about people, about pain, but mostly about the power of truth. See, there are people out here, men and women alike, who were never satisfied with what God gave them. It's like they're addicted to ego, to attention, to deceit. They can't stand peace, so they create chaos in the name of keeping their options open. And listen, I'm not here to knock your lifestyle. If you want to play in the street with your dick in the dirt, cool. Just be transparent about it. If you're poly, bi, tri, or just figuring it out Do you? But let's be very clear, if that's your truth, say that. Don't wrap it in romance. Don't present loyalty if you're moving with confusion. Own your path. One thing I learned in business, especially as a real estate broker, is this: full disclosure matters. Not just on paper, in life, in love, in relationships. You don't get to hide major details that affect somebody else's future, their emotions, or their safety. If you're still married, say that. If you're emotionally unavailable, say that. If you don't believe in monogamy, say that. Stop making people sign up for a lie just because you want companionship without accountability. Living your truth isn't always pretty. But it's powerful. And when you withhold the truth, you rob people of the opportunity to choose, and that's manipulation. Don't hand someone a fantasy and then punish them for reacting to the reality. If you can't be honest about your situation, you're not grown, you're dangerous. Don't introduce a vibe that you can't maintain. I promise, if you just be who you are from the beginning, you'll get much more out of every interaction with people. I have a close relative who engages in the highest level of foolishness possible. This man is a movie. It's comical at times, but what I've always respected about him is the fact that he's going to say what it is, whether you like it or not.

Spiritual fallout when you inherit the spirits. Let's talk about the fallout, the part nobody warns you about when you're sleeping with, loving, building with someone who's out here moving dirty. It's not just about cheating anymore, it's about spiritual contamination. What is spiritual fallout? It's the heaviness, the confusion, the random warfare. It's when you start feeling off but can't trace where it started. It's that spiritual fog that comes when someone brings other energies, other spirits, and other people's pain into your space. You ever wake up feeling like something is just wrong in your house, your body, your mind? Like something followed you home but you didn't invite it in. That's not anxiety, that's not mood swings, that's residue. How can this affect your mental health? Chronic fatigue, emotional dysregulation, mood swings, sudden depression, anxiety that doesn't feel like yours, feeling overwhelmed by negativity but can't explain why. Because it's not yours. It was transferred. How it happens: soul ties aren't just about sex. They're energetic contracts. When someone lies, cheats, manipulates, those spirits don't stay with them. If you're the closest person to them, you inherit the chaos. You become a spiritual sponge, soaking up the mess they refuse to clean. When someone brings spirits into your house, your peace becomes the battleground. And if you're not prayed up, protected, and aware, you'll be fighting for your sanity and not even know why. Red flags: you're in the fallout, you start dreaming about things you never experienced, you feel paranoid or emotionally unstable. Things in your life start falling apart for no reason. You keep getting drained even when you rest. You start losing focus, direction, and divine protection. That's spiritual warfare by association. You didn't invite it, but you're hosting it. Why? Because they did, and now you're sleeping next to it. How to clear it? Spiritual detox steps. One, Cut ties, even emotionally if not physically yet. 2. Cleanse your space literally and spiritually. Sage, prayer, anointing oil, sound, movement. 3. Call it out. Say the spirit's name. Confusion, deceit, lust, chaos, stagnation, evicted out loud. Fast or disconnect. Take space from the person until clarity returns. 5. Pray for covering, because emotional damage is one thing, but spiritual infiltration is another.

So how do we protect ourselves? How do we stop inheriting the pain, the spirits, the lies of the people we love? Let's talk about spiritual boundaries and reclaiming your peace in the final segment. How to spiritually protect yourself. Create distance from the liar. Pray and break soul ties. Cleanse your space, your energy, your social media. Reclaim your peace and stop justifying dysfunction in the name of loyalty. Not everyone deserves access to your life, your light, or your love. If they can't be honest with you, they can't be covered by you. That's Spiritual Boundaries 101. Your peace should not be a casualty of someone else's war with the truth. Don't ignore that tightness in your chest, that fog in your spirit, that shift in your house. If it felt different after they entered your life, it's because it is different. You're not crazy, you're just finally sensitive enough to feel what you were never meant to carry. Now that we've identified the door that got open, let's talk about how to close it. See, once you recognize that something has been transferred into your life through deception, through betrayal, through soul ties, you don't just pray it away and call it a day. You have to get intentional about reclaiming your peace, your power, and your authority. Why boundaries are sacred, not optional. Boundaries are not punishment, they're protection. You're not angry, you're finally awake. You don't owe access to people who weaponize your grace. Letting go isn't quitting, it's cleaning house. It is not your job to rehabilitate someone who keeps contaminating your spirit. Your spirit was never created to be a landfill for someone else's demons. Set the boundary, lock the door, and throw away the spare key. Steps to spiritually reclaim yourself: 1. Name the source. Acknowledge where the chaos came from. Stop minimizing it. Stop calling it a vibe. Name the betrayal, the person, the moment, 2. Break the tie verbally plus spiritually. Speak out loud: I disconnect myself spiritually, emotionally, and energetically from this person, their decisions, and every spirit attached to them. 3. Cleanse your space and body. Sage, prayer, sound healing, fasting, anointing oil. Open the windows. Take a salt bath. Physically and spiritually release. 4. Forgive but don't reattach. Forgiveness isn't a free pass. It's how you stop drinking poison and expecting them to feel it. Let go but stay gone. 5. Reinforce your spiritual boundaries. No more spiritual squatting. If they don't respect your peace, they don't get a lease in your life. Ask yourself, What doors have I left open that God told me to close? Where have I sacrificed my peace trying to prove my love? And what do I need to evict from my spirit to breathe freely again? This episode wasn't about blame. It's about awareness. Spiritual warfare doesn't always come dressed in red horns. It often walks in wearing a smile and a sob story. But now you know you are not crazy, you are not overreacting, you are not too sensitive. You were just spiritually awake in a situation that depended on you staying asleep. So if they brought the spirits in, let them carry them out. That's not your luggage, that's not your lesson, and that's not your responsibility. Close the door, baby. It's time to breathe again.
