Here's how to collect your Tiny Health Gut Health Test stool sample. First, open the packaging. You can discard the outer sleeve, but make sure to keep the box because we'll use it for shipping later. Inside the box, you'll find a note from our founder and an instruction card that contains information about your kit ID and instructions on how to collect your sample. You will also receive a sample collection tube with the swab. The next time you're ready to use the restroom, make sure to bring your sample collection tube with you. To open the swab, find where the cap meets the tube and twist gently to break the seal. Hold the tube firmly with one hand. Continue with a twist and pull motion to remove the swab from the tube. Be careful not to touch the tip of the swab with your hands or let it touch any surfaces. Now take your swab soiled toilet paper or diaper and gently roll the swab across the sample. Avoid touching the swab directly on the toilet paper or diaper, just the sample itself. To ensure accurate results, it's important to collect the right amount. Not too little, not too much, just enough so you can see it from a distance without overloading it. Overloading the swab can interfere with your results. Wipe off any excess on clean toilet paper to ensure the sample is evenly distributed across the swab. Next, gently place the swab back into the tube. Try not to touch the inside of the tube as you do this. When you close the tube, press firmly until you hear a click. This means it's sealed properly. Inside the tube, there's a drying desiccant that helps preserve your sample, so so we can provide you with the most accurate results. Once sealed, place the tube back into the original box. The box has a prepaid shipping label, so all you need to do is seal it closed and drop it into your mailbox or your nearest USPS location. Once our lab receives it, you'll get your results in just a few weeks.
