A short instructional video (by Tom Pelton) that combines compliance reminders with meeting logistics. The clip emphasizes Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) best practices—checking Do-Not-Call lists, avoiding automated/pre-recorded calls or texts, and personal liability for violations—while also reminding viewers to check their email for the Microsoft Teams meeting invite and (implicitly) to download/use the Teams app.

We appreciate you being here since this program is optional and discusses best practices for your consideration. If you are thinking of adopting any of them, please make sure to review the requirements in your area region with your broker, branch manager, or manager, including those related to contacting consumers. We do want to highlight the importance of the Telephone Consumer Protection act, better known as tcpa. The general rules are that it's okay to call people if the person recently gave you their phone number, but remember to check the DNC lists regularly if they haven't spoken to that person in a while.
You will also want to check the.
DNC list anytime you don't have permission. Automated calling texting platforms should never be used. Pre recorded messages in artificial voices should never be used. You will be personally liable for any violations of the tcpa. We'll mention the TCPA a few times throughout this presentation. Check your email for the Meeting Invite.
In the Email invite, select Join your appointment. You will be prompted to either Join via your web browser or join via the Teams app. If you would like to join via the Teams app and don't have it downloaded yet, select the Download it now option. Go to your Downloads folder. Double click the Teams Download item. Follow the prompts to download the Teams Desktop app. If prompted, enter the administrator username and password. Once you've successfully downloaded the app, sign into Microsoft Teams with your email and password. Open your Teams app, and go right to your meeting.
