Type in a phone number to be checked and the results will show records for Federal, State and anywhere Advisors Company Do Not Call List. This course is on Moxie Websites and Moxie Websites provide you as affiliated agents with a personal Moxie Websites provide affiliated agents with a personal business website that can display your listings, business information, your contact details and bio information as well as a place where you can host content and resources, display your testimonials, manage a blog, and much more. These websites are fully customizable. They feature Coldwell Banker branding and disclaimers. They offer a responsive interface that is designed to display correctly no matter the device that they're being used on. They also have full MLS integration which allows website visitors to search the mls. It also allows the websites to automatically display your active listings and past sales. And then we do have the ability to edit and work on Search Engine Optimization, which we'll talk about a little bit more. In this course we will cover organizing site pages, editing current pages, creating new pages, creating blog posts, and adding testimonials to your Moxie website. So let's jump into a live demonstration to access your Moxie website. First navigate to our company dashboard@mycbdesk.com Once you're logged in, you'll be able to search for the tile called moxieworks. Click on the moxieworks tile and you'll be taken to your moxieworks profile. From here in the blue row at the top, we're going to click on my website. Once we click on my website, we will be taken to the Agent Website Admin tool. The first step to understanding the pages of our website is over in the left column we're going to click on the option for Site pages. These rows represent the different pages of our website. Any of these rows that are left justified represent items that will show up in our menu navigation bar. And the order on this page from top to bottom corresponds to the order of our website's menu navigation bar from left to right. So for example, looking at my website you can see here that I have home properties about me, etc. I'm going to click on Visit Site in the top left and you can see that here are home properties about me, etc. You'll also notice that there are certain menu items that have a drop down menu. So for example, when a visitor hovers over properties, you can see that they are able to view my active listings, solds, property search, etc. Going back to the site pages. So any of these rows that are indented under other rows represent drop down options for that main menu item. If I wanted to change the order of any of these menu items, I can simply left click on a row and drag it into a different position. You'll see that when I do that, it does also move any of the menu items under the parent row. If I wanted to nest a page under another page. So for example, if I wanted to move my neighborhood page under properties, I can simply left click drag and make sure that it shows up indented under that page. Looking at the options under each page, you can see that for most of them I have the ability to edit that page and we'll talk more about that in a second. I also have the ability to view the page as it appears to a consumer. I have the ability to hide a page and by clicking hide this removes that page from menu navigation view. Do note that you are not necessarily disabling the page. We'll talk more about how to do that later, but it will hide it from plain view. I also have the ability to delete pages and for pages that I have created, I can also duplicate them if I wanted to kind of use them as a template. For example, the first thing that we'll talk about is editing certain pages. So for example, I am going to come down to my buying and selling section and under Buying and selling tips, I Am going to click on Edit. So this page has already been created for us. But you can see that similar to Microsoft Word, I do have access to a text editor where I can make changes to the content. So again, I can simply use this information and add more of my own information to it. I can delete certain parts, I can replace text. I can also add additional media such as photos or videos. And I can also change text formatting. Once I've made any changes to this page, I can click Save. Once I'm done with that, I'm going to go back to Site Pages. Different types of pages offer different options for editing. So for example, if I was to go to a profile page for my bio and click Edit, you'll see that it looks a little bit different and has some different options. In this case I can change the name of the page and and the general layout. Again, if I make any changes I can hit Publish. If I want to add a new page to my website, I can simply click on the Add new button at the top and you will be shown a drop down menu with different types of pages. Blog Pages display your blog posts. Custom pages allow you to add custom content. Custom searches allow you to define a specific search and show properties that match that search on dedicated page. Menu items are not actual pages themselves, but they allow you to put other menu items on under them. So for example, if I wanted to create a section for social media links, what I might do is utilize both a menu item and multiple menu links. So a menu link is just a connection to an external website. So I think I have already done this. So you can see here I have a menu item that says Follow me on social media and then a menu link that is linking to my Facebook. I'll do that one more time and let's say let's add a menu link and maybe this is going to go to my Instagram just for demonstration purposes. Going to put in this and then go back to Site Pages. When I add a new page or a new menu link it should show up at the bottom of my list. In this case I'm going to click and drag it so it is a menu item. Under Follow me on Social Media I'm then going to make sure that I am showing that menu item. Those pages I'm going to click on Publish. Then I'm going to click on Visit Site. You'll see now that I have a menu item called Follow Me on Social Media and then I have links to external websites. In this case my social media profiles If a consumer was to click on one of these menu links, they they will then be taken in this case to Facebook. Going back to different types of new pages, you can see I also have the ability to add a profile page. Again, this should already be active on your website by default. We did look a little bit about how to edit that page, but if you ever delete it, you can always re add it using this. I also have the ability to add a testimonial page, which we'll talk about as well. So in this case, I'm going to add a testimonial page. Again, we'll come back to that. But I want to make sure that it shows up on my page. In this case, I'm not ready for it to go live, so I'm going to hide it for now. I also want to make sure that I have a blog page. So we're going to talk about that next. So I don't see it here in my list. In this case, I'm going to click on new and click on blog page. I'm going to title my blog. You know, this could be agents real estate blog. In this case, I want it to display all of the different blog posts that I'd like to create. If I ever wanted to change how that behaves, I can do it later. In this case, I'm going to have it display every category and then hit Publish. I'm going to go back to my site pages and because I'm not quite ready for it to be live for now, I'm going to hide it and then click Publish. So now we have two things to work on. First, we're going to create a blog post or two and then we're going to work on adding testimonials to our website. First, let's start out by adding a blog post over here in the menu on the left. I'm just going to go ahead and click on blog posts. If you've never created one before, your list will be empty and we can then click on the button to add new post. Kind of looking at this from top to bottom, the first step would be to give that post a title. In this case, I'm going to create a blog post about a recent office barbecue. So I'm going to say something like summer office barbecue day. Again, we have the option to add content through a text editor. It is also possible to add HTML code as well, although that's a little bit more advanced. In this case, I'm going to keep it pretty basic. I am going to upload a photo from my event and then add some text talking about it. So in this case I'm going to click on Add Media. If I have not yet uploaded it though, I. I can always click on Upload Files, Select Files and then upload that file from my computer. I'm going to go ahead and center it. I could give it a title at the top, but just for demonstration purposes, I'm just going to start some text underneath. Once I have created my post, I do want to bring your attention to some of the options on the right side of the page. Right now my post is currently in draft status. When I'm ready for it to go live, I do have the option to publish it here. You can see that I can also change when this post is published. So if I go ahead and click on Edit, I do have the ability to change the timing this post. You can see here that there is also some information related to readability and SEO. We'll get to that in just a second. But that can be very useful when it comes to creating blog posts and also creating custom pages. The next box allows me to categorize my blog posts and this can be really helpful once you have a built out library of blog posts because it just makes it easier for website visitors to see posts that are related to a specific topic. So I have some existing categories. In this case though, I'm going to create a new category and I'm going to call it something like Office Function. I also have the ability to tag my post which can help with both SEO and organization as well. So I might, I might tag it, you know, Office Global Banker. This similar to hashtags, so I might say CD, proud, summer, etc. At the very bottom you will see an option for Featured image. The featured image is the image that shows on your blog or organization page. So I'm gonna, I'm gonna select a different image than what is in the content of my blog post. Generally you want this to be more of a horizontal or landscape image and I'll show you the reason for that in a little bit. In this case, I'm just gonna choose kind of a nice photo of the city. Scrolling down you will see a section known as Yoast SEO Premium. And this is a tool that can really help us with the search engine optimization of our website. So one of the key objectives of creating blog posts and creating custom pages is to make your website and make yourself more relevant in Google searches. This tool is designed specifically to help us with SEO settings in general. The first thing that I would recommend is creating a focus key phrase. And a focus key phrase is a term that you want to rank for in Google search results. So if you want to be known as a fun loving realtor in a certain area, I may be creating a blog post about some fun that I was having during the summer and my focus key phrase might be, you know, fun loving realtor. Once you've set up a key phrase, this Yoast SEO SEO tool will then give you recommendations to increase the effectiveness and the relevancy of your blog post. And it does that by kind of ranking the biggest problems in red, things that can be improved in orange, and then things that you've done well in green. And so the key is to kind of go down the list of these issues and make changes until there are more green. And you know, don't worry if there's something that you can't change or don't know how to change. It's just something that you can work on improving. So in this case it recommends that I put the key phrase in the introduction. It also recommends that I change the meta description length. So let's actually do that first. So one of the things that I skipped over was this meta description snippet. If I click on edit snippet, I am able to choose a title for the page, the URL slug and the meta description and the SEO title and meta description is actually what shows up in Google search results. By default, your blog post will use the title of the post, a separator, and then the name of your website. You do have the ability to change that out if you wanted to. In this case it was recommending that I add a meta description and I do want to probably include my focus Cree phase in my meta description. So I might say something, you know, as a fun loving realtor, I enjoy spending time with my office colleagues. Outside of work. I am dedicated to serving my clients. But it's always nice to take a few hours off now and then. That as I was typing it was kind of giving me an idea of how long that meta description should be. I went a little bit over and that's probably going to tell me that. So here you can see now in the orange section it says that my meta description is a little bit too long. And kind of a good tip for working on this is you are able to utilize AI such as Microsoft Copilot to give you a good SEO title or to give you a meta description under 156 characters. Those are great uses of the platform. So in this case, I might copy and paste this and I might say, you know, revise to less than 156 characters. You know, this case I'm just going to delete some of it just to kind of show you how that key phrase length will then switch into the green again. It's also telling me that, you know, the length of my text is kind of short for demonstration purposes. That is completely understandable. But it's always a good idea to kind of take a look at these recommendations and work on remedying as many as you can. You can see at the top now that my readability has changed to ok, my SEO still needs improvement, but I didn't spend too much time on that. If I was really, you know, creating a dedicated blog post, I would want to work on that a little bit more. In this case, though, I am ready to publish my blog post. So let's go ahead and click Publish. Once I publish that post, I'm going to go back to site pages. And so now I have an active blog post, but I've not yet published a blog page on my website. So previously we created the blog page. Now we are ready to show it. I'm going to click Publish in the bottom right. I'm going to click on Visit Site in the top left. Now you'll see I have a new menu navigation item for my real estate blog. And when I click on that, you'll then see a library of my blog posts. Up at the top, you would be able to see different categories if I had posts in different categories. In this case, I just have Office Fun. Here you can see my featured image. So the featured image can also be thought of as a preview image. If a website visitor was then to click on that blog post, they would then see the featured image and then the blog content. The last thing that we're going to go over today is adding testimonials to your moxie website. So we're going to go back to our agent website admin tool. I'm going to go to Site Pages and I am going to navigate to the testimonial page that we have created but is still hidden. To add testimonials, I'm going to click on the edit button and you can see here that it is simple as copying and pasting testimonials from another source. Generally, you would be copying and pasting testimonials that came through to you from email. You could also copy and paste them from your Google Business page or maybe your Zillow Profile. You'll see here that there are two sections, one for the header and one for the content. The header is generally used as the name of the client, although you can also use it as kind of a. A way to highlight maybe specific quotes. So I'm going to do one first. I'm just going to say this is from Client one. Just really quickly add my testimonial. I have the ability to upload an image as well. If you had a nice photo, maybe you and your buyers, you know, holding keys in front of a newly purchased house, that would be a great opportunity to add it. In this case, I don't have it. So I'm going to say I would like to add that first testimonial and then let's add one more that has more of a quote in the header section just so you can see the difference. So I'm going to say, great agent. We'll add the other quote and in this case we're just going to format it a little bit differently, just so you can see how it works and then we can kind of decide what we like best. In general, I think I like to put the client's name under header and the testimonial, just the testimonial under content. But we'll look at this together. So I previously had enter some testimonials. I'm going to hide those for now just so we can compare the two that I've most recently added. So let's go ahead, click Publish. I'm going to go to Site pages one more time. And in this case that page is still hidden. So I'm going to click on show and then Publish. And then I'm going to click on Visit Site in the top left. And we should have let me double check what I put under. So I put it again, it is nested under the About Me section. So in this case I'm going to hover over About Me, click on Testimonials. And so here you can see that those testimonials are automatically formatted onto a page. Mine are really short, so they don't look that great. When you have a little bit longer testimonials, though, they do look good. So in this case, let's go back to testimonials. Click on Edit. And I'm going to bring back my previous testimonials by clicking on Show. You can see here that if I wanted to change the order of the testimonials displayed, I can do that. I can also go back in and edit Testimonials So for example, if I figured out that I like putting the client name in the header, I can always go back to this one, change that, Click on Update and let me click on show one more time and then publish. We're going to jump back to the testimonials page refresh and here you can see my updated list of testimonials.
